Rough start
Upon arrival we checked in (ocean view 2 queen suite) at the front desk due to online giving us troubles. We went up to room and the door was propped open, a chair in middle of floor and multiple ceiling tiles moved exposing machinery( I assume to the AC unit), I then went back down to desk, spoke to manager where she then put us in a single king ocean view. I recently had multiple surgeries including both hips replaced, hernia, and gal bladder removal so I was needing the extra bed for my comfort and situation. Alas we dealt with the king because at least we got our view! Unfortunately, the mini fridge barely worked and when told about it maintenance looked at it and said it’s as good as it’s gonna get. The wallpaper was peeling off in the bathroom and the shower curtain was ripped. Wasn’t worth leaving at that point since we were only there for the weekend but having worked in the service industry and hospitality for 30 years I certainly expected better! Sadly I went through a third party to book so the hotel could not do much in the matter of refunds or extra days but the manager did speak to me and said she would extend some honors points. Hopefully if we decide to visit in the future we won’t have the same experience!
