Our room was on the second floor of the Anchor Inn. We had a nice view from balcony with a partial view of the water. A bit of disappointment was the bathroom because it had two large wall patches in the tub area that were not painted including the walls where they meet the ceiling. Also the bottom portion of the tv cabinet was damaged and not well maintained. The beds were comfortable but the mattresses should either be rotated or replaced because of worn in body positioning. The entrance door and door sill (rotten wood) was leaking outside air when windy outside. Room lighting definitely needs to be brighten up and a comfortable chair added.

We found them run so comfortable, with lots of amenities next door: a breakfast with lots of variety, pool, and exercise room. Location was great to get to restaurants and shops on the west side of the island.

I loved the view and the friendly people but the room service had a lot to be desired. I had to ask for toilet paper, empty waste basket, make the bed. The phone did not work, the toilet leaked, shower had a leak and I had some trouble understanding the air conditioner.

This was our second stay at the Anchor Inn. The peaceful and calming setting is what we need after our busy job schedules. Our accommodations, like last year, were wonderful. The pool and courtyard are kept beautifully and provide a great place to relax. Our only complaint is that we had to ask for clean towels one evening because our room wasn’t cleaned/checked by housekeeping during the second day of our stay. On the third day of our stay, our towel supply and trash were taken care of but we had to call to ask for our room’s coffee supplies to be replenished. These weren’t major problems that couldn’t be fixed with calling the desk, but we did not have to do this last year.

SO. MANY. BUGS. We wanted so badly to love this place and had to spend every minute we were inside our room killing bugs. Ants everywhere. Mosquitoes biting us alll night inside the room. And the sheets and covers were not clean at all and had stains. Very disappointed

Stayed at this hotel many times. Sadly this might be our last. Over the years they have raised the price substantially which is expected in this economy but with that, some normal upkeep or maintenance would be expected. Upon check in not a single parking spot was available next to our building due to no “room spacific” parking so we had to tote all our luggage all the way across the parking lot after a long hot day on the beach. When we got up to our room we realized the door to our room was wide open due to the door not being hung properly and needs slammed to close. which made for a nice sticky and hot room which took forever to cool down. After a long hot day on the beach that’s not ideal. The shower has absolutely no water pressure at all and no temperature control water is either way to hot or freezing cold. Not that tv is a huge deal for us while on vacation but most hotels come standard with all your basic channels which this one did not. Just news and maybe 5 other channels that have shows on. No Nickelodeon or Disney for the kids which can make for a rough time during bed time. Only coming for a short stay we did not pack body wash just planing to use the wash supplied by the hotel. To our surprise there was none at all in room. All minor problems but for the price not expected. So all in all we normally love this place but this trip in itself we were not pleased and hope they make the updates/changes needed to make this hotel our go to on the island.

When i first walked into the room i noticed the carpet hasn't been vacuumed in months and im not Exaggerating...Cobwebs on the curtains. I spoke to the front desk and they will come up there to clean the room again... It definitely looks like a party hotel (Motel).I will never stay at a Extended Hotel Again...
