The hotel room when we checked in was 93 degrees. They didn’t tell us anything at check in but when we complained they said they had been receiving complaints all afternoon. They were ‘trying’ to get it fixed. They then moved us to a room on a lower floor saying that we’d be more comfortable. The new room was 86 degrees. They offered us a fan. Which only blew around the hot air. When we returned to our room later that night it was still hot. We complained at check out and they then said it wasn’t a maintenance problem. It was simply a matter of them turning off the AC and switching over to their heating system for the winter and that was just the way things worked. In NO hotel I’ve ever stayed at didn’t have an option to not be able to cool down your own room. We had zero sleep. They offered to compensate us until they discovered we had booked through hotels.com and then they washed their hands of us. I think it’s safe to say that I am asking for a full refund of our stay. I will await a reply to resolve this matter.
