Ein ranziges Zimmer zur Straße mit Fenstern, die weder lärmdämmende Wirkung noch effektiv abdunkelnde Vorhänge haben - Schlafen ist nach acht Uhr am Morgen quasi unmöglich. Das Bad sieht wie der Rest der Einrichtung aus, als sei es seit den sechziger Jahren nicht mehr renoviert worden, mit Rostflecken und abgeplatztem Lack in der Dusche, beschädigtem […] Teppichboden im Zimmer und einem kaputten Fahrstuhl. Wie alle Hotels in Miami Beach ist auch dieses nah an einem Strand gelegen, wenn es auch nicht in erster Reihe steht. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, das Hotel hingegen weniger. Vermutlich ist es auf die Leichtbauweise zurückzuführen, dass zumindest die WLAN-Verbindung keine Probleme bereitete und noch in der nächsten Seitenstraße empfangen werden konnte. In ebendieser Seitenstraße befinden sich auch die beiden Waschmaschinen und Trockner, die gegen eine Gebühr von zwei Dollar pro Waschgang/Trocknung genutzt werden können und sich den Platz mit zwei Müllcontainern und einer Ratte teilen. Dieses Hotel geht gar nicht. Charme und Sauberkeit der 20er Jahre. Fenster, die nur alte Fliegengitter sind, nicht zum schließen. Das Bad wollte man noch nicht mal mit Schuhen benutzen. Besser ein paar Euro mehr ausgeben, aber nicht das Alamo. Nur, der Mann an der Rezeption, Jerry, war nett und sehr bemüht.

Altes aber Sauberes Hotel in Strandnähe mit vernünftigem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ideal sofern Hotel nur zum Schlafen gebraucht wird. Freundliches Personal. Acht Gratisparkplätze, jedoch meist besetzt, "first come first serve"

The room should really get renovated. Cleanliness was ok. The location is good, as you can reach the beach in 2 minutes walking or go to south beach with almoust every bus for only 25 cents. Also there is Walmart 5 minutes close to the hotel, and the bus station is just over the street. The last night after room service, our towels were gone - i don't know how stupid the service personal is, but when we complained, she women at the lobby didn't even appologize, she just said she could do anything about it, as the towels are brought to another destination for cleaning -.- Also, when you try discovering miami by yourself, the always try to sell you some tours instead of really helping you. conclusion: for the little money it was ok (exept the towels), as it was not dirty, but just in a bad condition. Smell was enough to bring tears to your eyes,Parking is limited to only 7 spots, Was loud sound of traffic and taxi horns blowing all night don't expect to sleep. Would not even consider a free night at this place. We all know what happened at the Alamo / Beware!!!

We had room 205, which is facing the street. Windows are very thin, so we flt like sleeping on the street, on one of the busiest intersection of miami beach. Parking was free but unexisting, so we had to park in a 25$ parking garage, the elevator was broken, and constructionworkers started at 8am

Yes, the hotel is careworn, a bit run down. But it was clean; water pressure was good; air conditioning worked, as did the hot water; the price was very good and the location (for me) was outstanding.

This hotel should not advertise that it has either parking or guest laundry facilities. We had to park on the street (at $10 a day) and that only after circling for long periods every time we moved the car. The laundry was outdoors in the alley - no security, no place to sit down. We read the reviews before hand so we knew what to expect. Hotel is located 1 block from the beach, which was perfect. Parking is free if you can find one, only 5 spots available and its 1st come 1st serve. We had a kitchenette but never used it as we saw a roach one time but never again. Desirable area if you don't mind horrendous traffic - probably best for those who are staying without a car. Very minimal parking besides street parking, and they didn't explain that in a very obliging way. $20 key deposit even though they had my credit card number, indicating that they are accustomed to a problem clientele. Pros: close to the beach, cheap, safe and relatively clean. Cons: the "free parking" advertised on the website means if you are really lucky you may find one of the 6-8 parking spots in front of the building empty. Also, because of the old windows and proximity to intense traffic area, it was VERY noisy during the night.

Free wifi that was fast, had frig too! Things weren't up to date, but the bathroom stuff all worked great! Kitchen sink didn't work, but hey, who needs 2 sinks at this price range? They have a big closet you can use as well as light TV channels n 2 beds :)

I spoke with a clerk at the front desk for lies than 1 minute and left. He was rude and argumentative and no customer should have to suffer through that kind of behavior. Go to Embassy Suites instead. Hotels.com, remove this one from your list.

I had a great time while staying in this hotel. The room was nice and it had a microwave, a fridge, a tv, and a desk. Also an ok bathroom and a walk-in closet. The air conditioning was working fine. It is an older building, yes, but I was actually surprised of how spacious my room was and how everything was well kept. Of course there are nicer and newer hotels, but probably they're gonna cost you at least twice as much. Went to Miami for a Birthday Vacation. The hotel was very dirty and everything was OLD!!!! We didn’t spend much time in the hotel (The beach is not far), however the first day we had $3000 STOLEN from our luggage. The hotel was OK if you are on a budget. The rooms need a good scrub floor to ceiling. Also I do not consider a microwave and mini refrigerator to be a kitchenette. I think my TV was a 14", very smal and rabbit ears no cable. The hotel has easy access to South Beach via the bus and the bus stop is 200 yards from the hotel enterance.

I can honestly say that these people are the most boring, rudest, uncaring, unfriendly, no customer service, unprofessional people I've ever seen. The one person that I can honestly say that was kind to us was this generous man name Jerry. The bathroom sink was broken The tub was painted over, the windows were broken, room smell badly, the refrigerator […] was unclean last but not least we had no parking spaces and me and my boyfriend had to fight for one stinking parking and it's a horrible place to stay but thanks Jerry you were the only friendly, thougtful,caring person.
