For being a new hotel the finishings and workmanship were poor.Hotel staff was friendly and room was clean but very small.Breakfast was hot but not very good.Close to V.A. hospital which was what we needed.

Was a good place to crash after a Royals game and night out in the Power & Light District. The hotel was better than expected for the price. Front desk staff were very nice and the breakfast was nothing to brag about, but did the job.

This hotel is newer, so you will find most things in working order and fairly neat. However, my roommate found the bed to be too hard and uncomfortable. Also, housekeeping/maintenance in the rooms was not stellar. The hotel service, although run by very nice down-home people who put extra attention into each customer, did not pay attention to detail. […] When you asked for things, you didn't necessarily get them. Our hotel room didn't have a trash can, and asking for it brought over the concierge who didn't believe we were missing one. We still never got one and reported it at checkout. When our travel companion in another room first got into his room, it was filled with the soda and beer remnants of the party the last guests must have had. Housekeeping must have not completed their job. Our travel companion was moved to another room. The location is handily located, but the area of town isn't the best. We had no problems with the neighborhood though. All in all, I would stay there again because the people were nice and it was very affordable. The trash can issue will likely not happen again. Mehr

The hotel looked very nice from the outside and the room itself was pretty good looking. The manager was very nice. Upon entering the room I realized that there was no microwave or refrigerator that had been listed online under things that the room had. I had brought some perishable things and I needed a refrigerator. I went to the main lobby to tell […] the manager about it and I also showed him the webpage that said about the microwave and the refrigerator being included in ALL rooms. He said "I have no idea who put that there!" He then asked me if I wanted a fridge. I said sure. He took me into the back store room where there was one single fridge and he wheeled it back to my room. I thought it was very nice of him, until i opened the fridge and gagged on the smell of sour milk. I'm almost certain that he has that one fridge just to be able to say that he can offer one. It smells like sour milk so customers will tell their friends or hotel neighbors not to ask for one. Which in turn prevents him from needing to spend money on refrigerators. Other than the fridge- which I was extremely disappointed about, The ceiling was leaking and i had to kill multiple roaches in our bathroom at NOON. From experience I know that roaches only come out at night and I'm not quite sure why they were there at noon. I was extremely dissatisfied with the whole hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone. Mehr

Hotel staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The hotel location was right off the highway and near the sports stadiums. It helps if you have a GPS, but getting downtown was not a bad ride. Public transportation was also available right across the street. Over-all it was a good experience.

There for Radiohead show. Staff was really friendly. Breakfast spread was pretty tasty. Room had a funky smoky milk smell. Couple spritz of perfume and it was better. Going through remodeling and could become better. I will stay there again, so I will update this. The main concern is the area. It is definitely a tough part of town and not somewhere […] to go screwing around. Stick to the Electric Light District that was a $12 cab ride from the hotel. Mehr

My wife and I were in town for a wedding just for the weekend. We chose this hotel based on the price and the positive reviews of others. When we got to the room, the first thing we noticed; the smell! Stank very strongly of cigarette smoke. We called the front desk, who assured us that all their rooms were non-smoking rooms, and said that there were […] no other rooms available for us to switch. We also noticed several ash burns in the bed spread, so the previous tenants were most likely smoking. We considered trying to find another hotel, but decided to just stick with it. Other problems: both of the bedside lamps would not turn on, one had the bulb missing. The lights near the front door also had no bulbs. There were no curtains over the window, just a flimsy set of blinds which I didn't feel totally blocked a view from oustide, and also didn't block the very bright light from coming in all night. The tub also looked stained, though it worked fine. The pros: cheap, bed was pretty comfortable, staff was friendly. Overall, this was the poorest hotel experience I've had in a long time. I don't doubt others' good experience, we just got a bad room I guess. Also, the clothes in our suitcases still smelled like smoke after we came home, even the clothes we didn't use! This place definitely needs to enforce its no smoking policy better. Mehr

This is the nicest Day's Inn I have ever stayed at. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay thought the room was very clean, being that it was winter our hotel was freezing cold upon arrival and took about an hour to warm up. Once it did it was comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. The surrounding neighborhood was a bit dirty and old. But for the price I'd stay there again.

This hotel was great for what we needed it for....We just used it as our crash site on NYE! Would DEF go back; the people were SUPER friendly!
