the breakfast should be contintental for this type of hotel, not have someone take your order and you have to pay for it.. also, the beds were very hard . both my wife and I felt sore on our backs

Nice place. It is a wonderful place off I-10 with plenty of pine trees to keep the noise off the guests. Additionally, the engineers also took that into account where the edge of the hotel faces I-10 so the basic physics of an acoustic wave would have less affect on the guests. There was nothing I would say bad except the Garden Inn has an SOP to use […] this type of mattress that feels like sawdust. It seems to be a nice enough sleep but not one I would use for long term/at home. Mehr

very nice place to stay for the money. breakfast was good for 11 bucks, all you can eat etc but not that well organized. the pool/spa was a very nice addition...

We stayed at this property for a high school girls soccer tournament and had 10 rooms booked. The hotel was very clean, rooms were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We did have to ask for the coffee service to be put out and were told they had removed it because the girls kept drinking it. The hotel and staff were outstanding and we would definitely return. Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and no access problems to any areas. We were able to get an early check in, which helped with a tight schedule. The pantry was impressively stocked with food and beverages. The Breakfast buffet […] is well priced for an extensive buffet/custom menu. Only complaint is my credit card was charged $25.00 as pending, which was deleted after 6 days and made me uncomfortable. Our room was very comfortable once we figured out how to control the thermostat in the room - it was pretty warm in there when we first got in, but cooled off quickly. The breakfast that is served downstairs in the lobby was very good, but a bit pricey - all I had was an egg and bacon omelet, 1 piece of toast and a small bowl of instant grits, milk […] and coffee which you fix yourself except for the omelet and my bill was $21!! Other than the stay itself, the hotel was not very easy to find. Ya'll need one of those really tall signs that stick out over the trees that you can see from the interstate and some type of sign or something on the street where you turn to get there. Mehr

Hotel and room were nice and clean. The staff were very friendly, especially the cleaning staff, who although having to work during Thanksgiving, were still cheerful. There was not enough parking so we had to park along the street a few times. $10.95 for breakfast was a bit steep so we went to the IHOP down the road quite often.

The Hotel Staff was fine at identifying problems but rather than press forward with solutions they got stuck. In my view they have not been properly trained by their management. The parking area was littered and debris wasn't properly picked........... Location is convenient but the surrounding area is not very nice.......

I recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel was nice and clean. The service was great but the only problem I had was even though I checked out, the hotel charged my card for another night. I called them and they said they were sending my money back and that they were sorry. Other than that, everything was great!!

I stayed 3 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn in Covington, LA. As far as location, it is not ideal for tourists who are interested in New Orleans. Covington is about an hour away. That being said, the north shore is a modern, clean area with plenty to do. My first impression was that the hotel appeared new and had a clean, modern style lobby with indoor […] and outdoor seating. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had a junior suite, which had a desk, along with a couch that folded out to an extra bed and a chair as well as an LCD TV. The bathroom, while somewhat small, had everything that I needed. Beyond the bathroom was the King bed with an alarm clock and another LCD TV. The room was clean and very comfortable. I liked the layout of the room very much. Although I was alone, this room would easily accommodate two or more people, as the lounge area is effectively separated from the bedroom. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Mehr

Service was fine. Staff was friendly but my room keys did not work four days of my six day stay. Very annoying to have to go back to the lobby and get new keys, four times. Key also did not work on outside door or the the door to the ice machine.

Our room was extremely spacious, clean and ready for us upon check-in and check out. We were very satisfied with our peaceful and comfortable stay. We will stay at same hotel on next visit to the area.

Our only complaint, we checked in at 3:00 p.m. and across the hall traveler's dinner tray still in hall. Finally had to ask front desk to get someone to pick up later that evening as it was fish and starting to get rank. Other than that, this was great hotel!!

You sink into the bed like you are laying in a burrito, they are awful and backbreaking. On top of this they give you pillows that flatten almost completely when you lay on them. The hotel has clearly invested good money in the building and facilities, they are nice, they just screwed up in the bedding department. My girlfriend likes soft beds, I like […] more firm, we both woke up with neck pain which is unacceptable. If you MUST stay here, at a minimum bring your own pillow, you have been warned. Aside from the bedding issues everything was great but for me bedding is absolutely CRITICAL and a fatal flaw, I would not stay here again. Mehr

The hotel was very nice and unlike some other reviews really wasn't hard to find. Found a great seafood restaurant nearby that was a little pricey but delicious. We were heading to Florida to meet up with family for a "sunny" vacation - didn't find that but our stay in Covington was a great start! They had cookies upon check-in - loved them!
