Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 20. Feb. 2013Wir haben mit unseren drei kleinen Kindern zwei Doppelzimmer mit Zwischentüre gebucht und waren mit allem äußerst zufrieden. Die Rezeption ist ab Buchungsbeginn bis zum Abschied sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist hervorragend geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für Shopping und Stadterkundungen; mit etwas Glück gibt es Parkmöglichkeiten auch für große Fahrzeuge kostenlos in den Seitenstraßen. Ein- und Ausladen kann man wunderbar direkt vor dem Hotel auf einem Taxistreifen. Alternativ kostenpflichtige Tiefgarage. Hotel schon etwas älter aber sehr gepflegt; Zimmerausstattung mit aktuellen, sehr großen LED TV´s von Philips.Sehr empfehlenswert und praktisch.

Style of the bathroom (tiles etc.) reminds of the 1970s or so, but the shower is modern and the applicances work well. Please note: hardly any restaurants or shops which are open in the evening since the neighbourhood is an office area. Metro station within 5min walking distance, though.

- Die Stadtverwaltung erhebt eine Stadtsteuer von 7.58 EUR pro Unterkunft/ pro Nacht.
Diese Liste enthält alle Gebühren, die uns vom Hotel mitgeteilt wurden. Die erhobenen Gebühren können sich allerdings je nach Buchungszeitraum und Zimmerart ändern.
Das Hotel erhebt beim Check-in/Check-out, bzw. wenn die entsprechende Leistung in Anspruch genommen wird, folgende Gebühren und Kautionen:
- Aufpreis für das Frühstück: ca. 27 EUR pro Person
- Gebühr für den WLAN-Internetzugang im Zimmer: 6.95 EUR (für 24 Stunden, Preise können variieren)
- Parken ohne Parkservice: 25 EUR inkl. beliebig vieler Ein-/Ausfahrten (für Langzeitparkplätze gelten andere Preise)
- Für späten Check-out wird eine Gebühr erhoben.
- Für die Nutzung des Kinderbetts wird eine Gebühr erhoben.
- Nutzungsgebühr für das Zusatzbett: 35 EUR pro Nacht

My only complaint is that the party noise on the Saturday evening of my stay was unacceptable. I was a participant in a conference and needed my sleep. "Clean hotel....good value for money at weekends..."
Exactly what we were looking for......clean hotel with easy access to central Brussels. Hotel on METRO line (about 10mins from city, 2euro for a return ticket) or a 25mins walk to city centre. Rooms were clean, if you skip having your room cleaned each morning by staff then you get a 5euro voucher for the bar. We didn't have breakfast at hotel, but […] it looked to have a very good selection, breakfast at weekends is half the price of weekday (25euro vs 12.50 at weekends). Internet access in reception or you have 1 hour wifi in your room. Located in EU quarter so not many restaurants nearby, best to go into city center. Staff at reception are polite and efficient. Gym in hotel has basic cardio equipment. We were a couple staying there, did not see any families, mainly business travelers as hotel is in the EU quarter. Due to its location it is cheaper at weekends. Overall a really nice clean hotel which is great value for money at weekends. "Excellent weekend stay hotel"
Recently visited Brussels for the Christmas Market but didn't want to pay loads for a weekend stay. The hotel was about a 5 minute taxi journey from Eurostar Midi which cost about 12 euros but you can also catch the metro but this is about a 10 minute walk from the Eurostar station & wasn't well sign posted. When we arrived at the hotel they were able […] to check us in early, the staff were very friendly & helpful, they gave us a map & showed us where all the tourist attraction were & also what restaurants were good & reasonably priced away from the tourist areas. The hotel was basic but very clean & modern, it had everything you needed for a weekend stay. The hotel was only a 20 minute walk to the Grande Place & most tourist attractions, however there is also a metro station right outside, so in the evenings when it was a bit cold, we were able to catch this into the centre of town. The room was a good size & had loads of storage, the bathroom was very modern with a double shower & double sink & very clean. We both agreed that we slept extremely well, the beds were very comfortable. The room also had the usual tea & coffee facilities as well as a chiller for cold drinks. "Lack of vital information"
The night I arrived, there happened to be parked tractors right outside the hotel, for a demonstration for the rights of farmers. Being a foreigner, I had no idea what to expect from this, and after coming to my room, they started honking. There was no way I could prepare for my meeting with the noise outside. I was worried, will they wake me up at […] night, when will they start in the morning, what to expect? And the next day, it was not possible to take bus or taxi since the street was blocked. I would have expected that when I checked in, the staff would have made me aware of this. I understand that they have no repsonsibilty for the noise but they should have found out how this demonstartion would effect their guest and given information upon arrival. "Very badly insulated windows, on a very busy road"
The hotel windows were very poorly insulated, which means that I could hear traffic noise clearly all through the night, which was particularly bad from about 4am. This is appalling given that the hotel is on a very major road. It is a modern hotel and I would have thought this would have been an obvious thing for them to make sure was adequate. "Modern Hotel, great value when EU is out of town"
The Thon-EU hotel is a modern hotel just steps from the Maalbeek station at the edge of the EU district. They have an excellent and very attentive staff and everything is bright and shiny. They have an excellent breakfast (not included in my stay). I got an excellent room-rate on a weekend that the EU was not in session. Easy to get to/from the airport […] with the #12 bus and into the town on the metro (buy a day pass to get around). Nice hotel, enjoyed my stay. Looked newly renovated, and good size room. But beware of additional charges from breakfast to tv to Internet access, which is only free for first hour. These things can add up quickly. I skipped the breakfast (12 euro) and only used the internet in the main lobby ( would gave been additional 7 euro per 24 hrs). "Ideally located hotel"
The hotel is very modern, lots of bright pinks/ green/ orange and is excellently located on Rue de la Loi, a minute from Maelbeek metro stop and a couple of minutes from Schuman (EC Berlaymont building etc.) and Arts-Loi. This was honestly the best breakfast that I have ever had in Brussels, the selection of food is incredible! The lobby has plenty […] of comfy chairs, some in more secluded areas should you wish to have a relatively private conversation. There are 4 PC s with internet available to use free of charge (although they are Apple Macs which didn't suit me!) There is a mini supermarché just next door and all in all I thought it was great. PS they do a special deal whereby if you stay for more than 2 nights and agree to forego the room cleaning on one morning, they give you a € 5 voucher towards food/ drink at the bar. "Excellent location if visiting European Parliament"
Used this hotel when visiting parliament. Only 5-10 mins away. Staff at hotel very helpful ,room spacious. Only 1 hour free wifi but we had no problems getting onto a computer in lobby where wifi is fre at anytime. Breakfast is 25 euro and we didn't think this was good value. This hotel was very inconveinent it charged 30 Euro per every 24hrs for parking in thier garage. Parking located near this hotel was impossible to find. They also charged and additional 25 euro security deposit on the room which will be held for up to one week after your stay. and 12 euro city tax was also charged per day. I was disappointed with all […] these additional fees that were never mentioned especially the parking. Incredibly clean and modern hotel. Very cheap during our stay (might be because European Parliament is out). Nice, safe neighbourhood - about 30 min walk to Grand Place. Only downsides to hotel were that my partner complained that it was a room for a male (bed high off the ground, deco, nowhere for make-up bag in bathroom etc) and the cost of parking […] the car (25 euros per night). "good business hotel for a short stay"
I only stayed at the Thon Hotel EU for a night. The overall experience was very good, the staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel itself is very nice, the colors are vibrant. Location is especially good for those who have to be around the EU quarter which was very convenient for me and probably the reason I chose this particular hotel). Breakfast […] was great, the variety of hot and cold food was abundant and everything was tasty. My room was nice and spacious enough, the bed was very comfortable, TV had very good channels. What could be better in my opinion: there were two very narrow duvets on a double bed, I had to either use both of them horizontally, or if Iused just one then it was difficult to turn in bed without becoming uncovered; the windows were not soundproof, which seems largely to be a norm these days in hotels located near busy roads (which it is), the flooring was uncomfortable, not a carpet nor hardwood, like plastic (I couldn't really understand the material) it somehow made me feel like I had blisters under my feet. Nice modern hotel in the heart of EU Quarter, which is almost dead during weekends (impossible to find anything open on Saturdays and Sundays in a 1 Km radius); however the hotel is just in front of a metro station that allows you to reach the city center in 10 minutes. The staff was very kind and helpful during our stay; when they heard about our adventures […] with airlines (they cancelled two flights on the same day, and on top of that they managed to lose our luggage) they offered us a free room upgrade and a 50% discount on breakfasts (which are otherwise insanely expensive!).
