I booked my overnight stay at this hotel through Hotels.com. I chose the premier room but found that the furniture in my room was completely different from the picture shown in Hotels.com. The furniture in my room was more similar to that of the standard room. I was satisfied with the bigger bathroom, more comfortable bed and more amenities in the hotel […] (eg restaurant, spa) than the one I had previously stayed (Isabelle Garden Suites). The spa provides basic 1 hour massage, oil or shiatsu. This hotel charges only 300 Php for transfer to the airport. There was no kettle or clothes hangers in the room but for an overnight stay, it was adequate. I would recommend future travellers to book the standard room with breakfast option (cheaper to pre-pay for your breakfast). Also just take a taxi from the airport to reach the hotel. Choose the white fixed rate taxi and indicate that the suburb is Paranaque. The pick-up service can be unreliable. Mehr

Six of us stayed in family room. Ate several times in their cafe on ground floor. Difficult to get service, seemed very understaffed. Staff seemed unhappy with something going on behind the scenes. Even when I talked to the front desk staff manager, he wouldn't give me eye contact as I explained my dissatisfaction. I had to ask him "excuse me, were […] you listening to what I just said?" and "are you more interested in what is going on behind me in the lobby?". He ignored my questions. It really was amazing. There must be some management problem there. Waiter wasn't paying attention to breakfast order, and no surprise, returned with wrong stuff. Took FOREVER to get second cup of coffee. Still, three staff had time to argue among themselves behind counter while I couldn't get their attention. Frowns from everyone working there. While I was taking afternoon coffee yesterday in their cafe, a worker was banging away with a hammer to adjust some wooden structure by the counter. Went on for a long time. I had to leave, the noise was so loud. Really disappointed. Not cheap there either, at $100 a night for a family room. I would not recommend this hotel. Sorry. Mehr

The Nichols is an adequate enough budget hotel except for its location, which is pretty bad. First, the neighborhood is dangerous at night according to the people at teh front desk and there is nothing open anyway. Second, it is no closer to the airport than some other inexpensive hotels in adjoining communities.

I picked this hotel due the fact that I was coming into Manila at a late hour. The surrounding area is risky. I found the room condition poor and no hot water was available. I was lucky to survive the experience to move down the street to the Marriott.... more money... but it is worth the expense. We arrived on time from DTW. We called hotel the day before we left for transportation from NAIA to the hotel. If you book with any 3rd party vendor the shuttle will cost you 300p per load. We were advised to meet the drived at "extension N". Which is across the street and down a walkway to the right. We waited...of course no driver...so we kept our […] cool, (lol)..and continued to wait like lost tourist. We were approaced with many "offers" for a ride. Our driver finally found us after about 30 min of waiting. They were very courtious and less than 5 min to the hotel. The hotel is typical of airport hotels I guess. Good for an overnight as we were traveling on to Puerto Princesa the next day. The breakfast was "ok". and our check out was smooth and transportation to Terminal 3 was great. Overall view, just for one night stay. My Wife and I check in at 1PM, went to our room got settled in. Then went downstairs to the restaurant, for a bite to eat, and let me say that the food was good, indeed. If you are looking for pure convenience, then this place is for for, its in the middle of everything, surrounded by all kinds of stores, and eateries, […] and most of all right next to the Airport (terminals 4 and 1), 10 minutes top with no traffic. the only thing decent about this hotel is that it is close to the airport, apart from this the room was too hot even with air con full blast, front desk staff were helpful but restraunt staff were miserable and rude, the area the hotel was fairly safe for me being a 6 feet 2 inch ex paratrooper, i wouldnt advise females or men of a nervous disposition […] to take a walk to the nearest shops unless you dont mind prostitutes and junkies selling their goods and then following you after refusal , be very careful Mehr

This used to be a good place to stay but they need to maintain it, fix quite a few things, like all the outlets that used to be in the room but now just have blank covers on them; where are you supposed to plug in something as common as a laptop computer or cell phone charger? The tv is old, the remote for it is a replacement, the air conditioner makes […] plenty of noise like its working but all of a sudden it just quit cooling the air. The room was hot when we got there, they could have at least turned the air con. on before we came to cool the room down, they had a reservation ahead of time, not to mention the room was paid in advance. I thought they used to have mini fridges in the rooms in the past - this 1 didn't. It's nice & close to the airport, less than 200 pesos for a taxi ride, & their staff is always professional & courteous but the lack of a simple outlet, even at the desk they provide in the room, and you have to go to the lobby to get Internet access - they're going to make me find another hotel next time I'm there. The location is very convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's nice to have a coffee shop on-site especially if you're coming and going at odd times. The room was clean and comfortable. The shuttle driver was very helpful and we really appreciated being able to use his services instead of a taxi to get around.

Wasn't expecting much so I didn't get disappointed. Had to call the hotel from the airport to get the hotel transfer guys to pick me up even though I already made arrangements the night before. It was stated that they charge for airport transfers both to and from the hotel. Only got to know about it during check-in. It costs Php300 per trip. The staff […] were friendly enough but expected to be given tips (driver and bellboy). Hot shower was lukewarm at best. My major gripe is on the lack of accessible power outlets. My room had a room length table on window side of the room but no power outlet. The power outlets that it had were either blocked by the bed (headboard) or under the TV, all of which were quite far away from the table. You'll need a power extension cable of at least 2 meters to use a laptop comfortably while charging. There was supposedly free wifi, but the signal was too weak to the point of being useless (from inside the room). My room was on the 3rd floor. Didn't try the wifi from the lobby though. Mehr

I have stayed at the Nichols maybe 10 times when I fly into or out of Manila traveling to or from other locations in the Philippinies. This hotel is perfect for that purpose and the rooftop bar resto is nice to have.

Very friendly staff. Only thing about the stay I would not recommend is the skytop restaurant. I would not recommend the restaurant because the service was very slow and the food not very appatizing.

Pros: good location-perfect for an extended layover. Facilities are basic but sufficient. AC functioned well. Free wifi was great. The hotel was worth the money you pay for. The transport service that they provided was very good and the drivers were very courteous. The filipino food that they served in the restaurant were up to the standard as far as the filipino taste buds is concerned. The front desk personnel were very helpful and welcoming.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. They arranged all of our transportation needs also, which gave us a secure, clean vehicle to travel to shop and go sight seeing. First to Mall of Asia. The next day to Market Market. If you need to be near the airport, and visit these malls, Nichols Airport Hotel would be an excellent place to stay.

We stay there only few hours, from 1:00 am to 4:30 am, for we have two kids. The hotel is on the way from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, for we should take a budget airline to Singapore at 6:30AM, from Terminal 1, we choose this hotel. The hotel did not make it convenient to be picked up... hard to get ahold of them and they were not waiting for my arrival like other hotels have done. It suffices for stopover but not for vacation. For 1 night you can make do without some of the basic amenities. While it's called a hotel it doesn't look it. I've been to hotels that offer more at less its price. Its only advantage is its location near NAIA.

it's the third time i went there, not because of the quality of the hotel, but because it's close to the airport, and the price/quality is ok. when you reserve, just ask to have a room not on the street side, because of the window/wall (they replace the window by a thin wood board). so you hear all the noise from the street.
