Great price, but you get what you pay for.

This Hotel is ideally located just outside the city. Its a great location for the cost and I would recommend it. Keep in mind that you probably will not have any hot water and your towels will not be changed on a daily basis. In brief its a great hotel but has poor support services. You can't have it all,. its the D.R

For the fairly low price, you get as much as you get in many higher-priced hotels. Free breakfast every morning (I recommend the traditional Dominican breakfast), cable television, a seating area and kitchen (in case you wanted to do your own cooking), etc. If you want to be in the midst of all the action, this is not the place for you; but if you, […] like me, prefer to be away from the action (while being able to easily get to it if I wanted to), this is the place to stay. On a map, it looks a lot further away from things than it really is. For example, I was easily able to walk to El Conde and throughout much of the Colonial Zone, as well as walk down to the sea shore. (For those of you too lazy to walk or unable to walk long distances, taxis are relatively inexpensive). Don't order room service and don't try to make sense of the cost of taxis to various places: the lists show both the US dollar price and the Dominican peso price and they don't exactly match. Go out and buy food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and bring it back to your room (there's a Jumbo supermarket on El Conde and an Ole supermarket in Santo Domingo Este but don't go walking around Santo Domingo Este northeast of the hotel at night). There's a park right near the hotel but only go there during the daytime unless you're looking to acquire certain services from women of questionable character or are looking to put yourself at considerable risk (several locals have separately advised against being in the park at night; about an hour or two before dark, you can watch some teen boys playing baseball without the benefit of baseball diamonds). If you want to venture out to more distant places (I took a trip out to La Romana to tour a cigar factory), take a bus (you can take a taxi to the appropriate bus station; e.g. take the Express bus to Boca Chica and La Romana and Caribe Tours to points north); it's a whole lot cheaper than taking a taxi. Mon ami et moi y avons séjourné une semaine, et quelle (mauvaise) aventure: - Jour 1: Deception de constater que l'hotel est au bord d'un gros canal ou une usine s'y décharge, vous pourrez sentir et observer cette usine, c'est juste en face. - Jour 2: La chambre n'est pas faite (eh oui il faut mettre le petit carton à la porte à chaque fois apparemment), […] les serviettes ne sont pas changées du coup, et la canalisation principale et unique a explosé. Donc le gentil receptionniste me monte un seau d'eau, puisé directement à la cassure du tuyau, afin qu'on puisse se doucher... - Jour 3: Après avoir goûté le petit déjeuner Dominicain (le meilleur), on tente "l'Americain", auquel il manque la confiture (et il la manquera chaque fois), alors des toasts grillés sans confiture, un peu sec... - Jour 4: Nouvelle coupure d'eau, mais cette fois-ci on comprend que l'hotel n'a pas l'eau courante, il est réapprovisionné par une citerne. Donc on devait probablement etre les derniers à prendre une douche, trop tard. Sympa pour le robinet de la cuisine aussi, il ne vous reste plus qu'a repartir en ville (15 min à pieds aller) pour acheter de l'eau pour cuisiner. -Jour 5: Je demande à changer les serviettes de douches puisqu'elles n'ont pas été changé, on me dit qu'il faut attendre la fin de la machine, et oui, il y a 2 serviettes par chambre, et pas une en reserve. D'ailleurs je vous conseille de prendre les votres car elle sont en très mauvais état... Coupure d'eau! -Jour 6: Les WC sont bouchés, ils débordent...Et oui, en République Dominicaine, il ne faut pas jeter le papier dans les WC mais le mettre dans la poubelle, alors quand on n'a pas l'habitude, on se trompe parfois...Et c'est la cata. Il a fallu relancer plusieurs fois pour que qqn intervienne, et enfin le soir, quelqun est venu déboucher. Voila en gros notre séjour à l'hotel, mis à part l'extrême gentillesse des receptionnistes, et c'est grâce à eux que je ne mets pas 0, je ne le conseille pas...Quoiqu'apparemment ils son Mehr

El hotel se encontro en una buena locacion para caminar a la zona colonial, el personal muy amable y servicial, lo unico fue que solo hicieron y limpiaron mi cuarto los primeros dos dias, despues no limpiaron nada, ni siquieran hacian la cama.
