Very nice facility. When we needed something the resort manager came over and gave us needed supplies. Not enough kitchen cooking equipment. Unit was excellent. The staff at the Buena Vista Resort where you pick up keys has spotty knowledge of the Damai. The key pick up is not by Orlando Premium outlets, it is by other outlet mall south of the I4 ramps. […] The supervisors know about the place but the regular clerks see Damai as a bit of an afterthought. Hotels.com does not let you know that you need to check in at an alternate hotel as there is no front desk at this facility. They also do not let you know that there will be no maid service. Overall though for the amount of space you get for the price as well as proximity to Disney World it is not a bad deal.

My friends and I traveled from Miami on Friday evening and were pleased that the check-in process was extremely easy! We walked in past 11pm to find everything had been taken care of; all we did was sign papers and we were sent on our way. The actual resort is a 5 min drive from the front desk which was perfect! We loved it! Condo was beautiful, spacious, well equipped, flat screen in every room, 10 minutes from Disney. Could have used a few more hand towels, but had dishwashing liquid, dishwasher soap, laundry soap. Will definitely do it again!!

Great place, quiet and new. Minimal cons - ceiling fans have dust hanging off and shower has some vertical tiles on the step with mildew. There was mismatched paint on the wall where they had covered up scuffs. Bring cutting board, pan for oven, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent since it's not stocked with any. Also more towels.

The properties in this development are absolutely beautiful! They are large, modern (no stereotypical Floridian 'chintz' as per many of the older Hotels and Villas) with fantastic amenities - the pool and especially Hot tub are fantastic. Supermarkets, Restaurants and Theme Parks aplenty are a short drive away, basically everything you need is within […] 5-10 minutes. The size of the condo was perfect for our group of 7! About a 10 minute drive to the parks. Pool, hottub, and landscaping were beaufitul. Very quiet setting. Great find for our family. Brand new, exceptionally clean, and quiet. Some of the items were not working (ie ceiling fans, cable connection, freezer was leaking) but property managers responded very quickly. As hot and humid as it was in Orlando, the Damai made our stay worth the trip!

Nice townhouse; great location; lots of comfort, privacy. Stairs could be tough for older folks and they need to watch the mold on the grout - bad for tile! Internet was a bit flaky but fast. Has full sized front loader washer/dryer. Gate is controlled by keypad and by remote control on the keys.

My impression based on the amount we paid, was not at all satisfying. First thing we noticed was how dirty the floors were upon entering the home, and in the kitchen and how many of the carpets had stains. The counters in the kitchen were not thoroughly clean either. Damai is a group of town home units that the owners are renting out. The only draw back is that the units are in a remote area away from the registration desk. We had to call and find out where to drive to get checked in. The instructions online are not clear at all as to where we needed to go. Our unit had 4 bedrooms which was great for our group of […] 7. It was spacious enough for all of us to spread out and was very affordable. Our unit had a full kitchen and living area which worked out well since my parents don't like to eat out. Our kids enjoyed some privacy in their own rooms to hang out and play in - they also enjoyed the pool. Its a beautiful place inside and out. Its really close to Disney. We would go to Disney in the morning and leave in the afternoon for a break and go back in the evening. The town homes are probably within 2-3 miles driving to Disney - so going back and forth was really convenient. We loved staying there an plan on staying there again when we visit Orlando. Mehr

This was a nice, new condo but carpets had stains and needed to be cleaned. The management company is terrible. You must go to another condo/hotel development to get the keys. I called 3 days before my trip to get directions to the pick-up site; however, I was given wrong directions, which caused me an hour of wasted time getting on toll roads, turning […] around, paying more tolls, etc. The front desk didn't seem to care. They only provide one roll of paper towels for a 7 night stay (family of 5) and wouldn't provide another roll. They said I would have to pay a $90 housekeeping fee to get a roll of paper towels. Our family spent 3 days in Orlando and absolutely LOVED our stay at Damai. We had 4 kids and 5 adults - and everyone had their own room and space. The flat screen TV's in each bedroom was a great feature, especially for the teens with us. The pool/hot tub area was very nice and a great way to end each day. My only complaints were 1. the reception desk at the hotel wasn't helpful in finding Damai, 2. small trashcans and hard to take out the trash. That's it - it was fabulous! Loved the quiet beautiful surroundings that were so close to the Disneyworld resorts. It was also very nice that we could check in late using a nearby resort since we got in around Midnight. Upon arrival in Orlando we were to go to Lake Buena Vista Spa for check in. We were early and knew we would have to wait a bit. The desk clerk told us to come back in 49 minutes. We went to lunch and arrived back 60 minutes later. The condo still wasn't ready we were told that it needed to be inspected and were forced to wait another hour. The desk […] clerk was extremely rude. The first thing we noticed when entering the condo from the carport was filthy carpeting. It appears that someone walked up the stairs and through the entire carpeted area with some kind of dirt/grease on their shoes. My guess is this occured during construction. We found bloody tissues beside one of the beds and bloody drips on two of the comforters. Over half of the lightbulbs were burnt out and tables, lamps and other items had not been dusted. I fail to see why we waited an additional hour for someone to inspect the condo when it obviously was not done. Mehr

Attempted to check in at 4PM (off site at Buena Vista down the street), but was told room wasn't ready, and thatthey would call back. After wandering around for 2 hours with no call back, went back to Buena Vista to find out the room had just come available, what luck. After giving up on the bad directions (use the GPS address), we finally arrived. […] Had trouble with the security gate because we were special and didn't get a remote. Called the desk for help, again was told someone would call back, but no one did, again. Rooms and space were nice. Pool/spa was great. The 4 Bedroom/3 bath condo was excellent for our family. The location to Disneyworld, a 5 minute drive to anywhere made it extremely convenient. The staff was nice and courteous. The unit we received had never been rented before and was in excellent condition. The boys enjoyed having there own rooms, complete with ceiling fan and flat screen tv. We […] ate breakfast every day in the unit and had a nice respite from the crowds at the park. The pool and hot tub made a nice oases at the end of the day to sooth sore feet from a long day at the parks. One issue I was concerned about was that we would be harassed about signing up to time share the condo, however no one ever said a word to us about this!? so all in all a great time and I would recommend it to anyone. Loved this place, didn't want to leave. Amazing, secluded, peaceful, You definatley need a car to stay here. It's not far from Disney and it's about 20mins or so to Universal from the I-4, although we preferred the scenic route all the way down I Drive. A huge Wal-Mart 10min drive away, to stock up that kitchen. We had the pool to ourselves every time […] we choose to lay out. It's exactly like the pictures show. Nice quiet condo close to everything especially Disney. Condo has 4bdrm and 4 bath, master bedroom has flat screen tv, walk in closet, separate toliet, shower and tub. High efficiency washer and dryer outside the master room in closet. There are 2 more rooms upstairs with queen beds, no tvs, rooms are kinda small. There is a weight room and pool with jacuzzi at the club house. No vending machines, be prepared to go shopping. We took our 3 1/2 year old and 2 year old to Orlando for our first Disney trip and this was the perfect place to stay. The townhome was very spacious, allowing us to really relax while we were there. It's only about a 10 minute drive to the Disney parks, and so we were able to come back to the condo midday to rest without feeling inconvenienced. We struck it lucky here. Affordable, comfortable, private, this place has it all. Currently only 12 units (6 more almost completed). Very large 4 br/4bath condo with hardwood floors, granite counter tops, stainless appliances,etc etc. Each bedroom has its own TV and large closets. I booked the Damai based on the fact that we had family from out of town staying with us for our recent trip to Disney and based on previous reviews that I had seen here on hotels.com. It is quaint and quiet. Close to Disney and very comfortable. With the 4 bedrooms my entire family had their own room. The pool was nice and very quiet. We were sad to go. Just make sure to follow the check in instructions like a previous reviewer stated. I would definitely stay again. The only issue that we had with the Damai is that there are a ton of stairs. So if you are traveling with someone who is disabled or in our case someone who has trouble walking they may have some issues with all of the stairs. (We just had our family member stay in the bedroom in the bottom floor of the townhouse). Mehr

The town home was HUGE. For Disney, the location is perfect. We had 4 day "Park Hopper" tickets, so we were able to leave one park, come "home" eat, change and go back in less time than waiting in line for one of the in-park restaurants. Here is one thing to keep in mind... This is basically a private townhouse community. There is no check-in, check-out, […] room service, etc. at the location. We spent almost an hour trying to find check-in. This was after driving to the front gate of the community. I ended up calling the number on the Damai website. Luckily, there was someone still there to answer the phone. However, she was in accounting and also not where we could pick up the key. She was VERY helpful. The location for check-in is only about 5 minutes from the development. Once we figured things out, everything was well above our expectations. Huge kitchen, great appliances, 4 well laid out bedrooms. Overall, a 5 star rating. I will say, I was not too happy when we finally arrived at the gate and couldn't get in. My family of 8 just returned from a 5 day vacation in Orlando and LOVED staying at Damai. The condos are beautiful, very clean, new appliances, modern look, and plenty of space. Only complaint would be the heat and air not being consistent throughout all the floors, there is one unit for the whole condo so while bottom floor may be cold, top floor is […] warm etc.- but honestly it's not a big enough deal to miss out on staying at such a great place. The pool and hot tub were wonderful too, really enjoyed it after walking at the parks all day. The whole place is well stocked with towels, extra lines, blankets, and other necessities. Flat screen tvs were also very nice. It's also very convenient to the theme parks, shopping, restaurants etc. I'd absolutely love to stay there again and would recommend to anyone. Mehr

Damai is a small townhouse development that is renting into the soft real estate market, for half of the price of a Disney hotel you get a 4 bed / 3 bath TH w/ fully kitchen, washer/dryer (LG throughout), also pool, gym and you are less than 10 minutes from Disney, great deal!

This place was frawesome! I was terrified to stay here because there was only 1 review (5 stars) but no comments on the review. I stayed with my 2-yr-old and mother-in-law and was so surprised when I arrived. On the down side, hotels.com did not let me know that I had to go to the Lake Buena Vista Village Resorts to pick up the key. I drove around for […] almost an hour not knowing if I would ever get in. I called the number for the Damai and was directed to the hotel where I needed to go to pick up the key. With key in hand, I headed back to the condo and felt like I had died and gone to heaven. It was brand new and looked exactly the way it looked in the pictures. It has 3.5 floors, 4BR and 3.5 baths, all beautifully decorated and very modern. The master bathroom was gorgeous, the pool and hot tub was amazing (eternity hot tub), and everything was extremely well-maintained. The kitchen was so beautiful...granite countertops and LG appliances, and all the plateware/silverware needed! It was also nice to have a washer & dryer there, and they even had detergent there for us! The only reason I gave it 4 stars overall was because of how hard it was to get the key (this should be stated up front), and because google maps could not find the exact location on the map. I think that because the property was so new, they didn't even have the street name. It would have been helpful to have written directions, especially for most folks who don't know the area. The other problem was that it was impossible to regulate the temperature...it was ridiculous to have one thermostat for the entire condo. The downstairs was freezing and the upstairs master was hot. That was bearable though, because there was so much room to spread out and relax. My son spent hours just going up and down the many stairs. Having said that, this place is not good for anyone with a disability, or who has trouble going up and down stairs, unless you plan to be apart from everyone else. the main living area is Mehr
