Damai at World Gateway - Orlando

Very comfortable, as stated in other reviews, lots of stairs. Well supplied, we have stayed at many villas, this one is prepared. Great private location.Wonderful pool area.

Dami is a wonderful property. The location couldn't be any more convenient. The property itself is well cared for and the condo is very nice. The layout allowed for the opportunity for members in my family to have some "private time" at the end of long days at Disney parks. The pool and hot tub are awesome! We took our 3 1/2 year old and 2 year old to Orlando for our first Disney trip and this was the perfect place to stay. The townhome was very spacious, allowing us to really relax while we were there. It's only about a 10 minute drive to the Disney parks, and so we were able to come back to the condo midday to rest without feeling inconvenienced. It […] was very clean, check-in and check-out were very simple (with the help of previous reviews we knew right where to go), and was stocked with everything we needed. We were able to cook our meals there, which made our stay easier and cheaper. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. Fantastic location for Disney - 2 minutes drive away. Condo is very spacious with 4 large bedrooms and three and a half baths, kitchen, dining and living area - all brand new. Only slight complaint was that the carpets on the stairs were terribly stained, the rest of the condo has wood floors which were nice. We struck it lucky here. Affordable, comfortable, private, this place has it all. Currently only 12 units (6 more almost completed). Very large 4 br/4bath condo with hardwood floors, granite counter tops, stainless appliances,etc etc. Each bedroom has its own TV and large closets. Master has walk-in shower/tub area, 2 vanities, walk in closet, and bay […] windows. We will definately be staying here again. Talk about lucky! Found this Gem on hotels.com and there is not one thing I could complain about. Units are huge, hardwood floors, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, everything was better then i could have expected and I expect a lot when i travel. I booked the Damai based on the fact that we had family from out of town staying with us for our recent trip to Disney and based on previous reviews that I had seen here on hotels.com. I was a little nervous as I didn't know how booking a townhouse would go over with my family (we usually stay on Disney property). Well I just want to say that the Damai […] was amazing. It is quaint and quiet. Close to Disney and very comfortable. With the 4 bedrooms my entire family had their own room. The pool was nice and very quiet. We were sad to go. Just make sure to follow the check in instructions like a previous reviewer stated. I would definitely stay again. The only issue that we had with the Damai is that there are a ton of stairs. So if you are traveling with someone who is disabled or in our case someone who has trouble walking they may have some issues with all of the stairs. (We just had our family member stay in the bedroom in the bottom floor of the townhouse). Mehr

The town home was HUGE. For Disney, the location is perfect. We had 4 day "Park Hopper" tickets, so we were able to leave one park, come "home" eat, change and go back in less time than waiting in line for one of the in-park restaurants. Here is one thing to keep in mind... This is basically a private townhouse community. There is no check-in, check-out, […] room service, etc. at the location. We spent almost an hour trying to find check-in. This was after driving to the front gate of the community. I ended up calling the number on the Damai website. Luckily, there was someone still there to answer the phone. However, she was in accounting and also not where we could pick up the key. She was VERY helpful. The location for check-in is only about 5 minutes from the development. Once we figured things out, everything was well above our expectations. Huge kitchen, great appliances, 4 well laid out bedrooms. Overall, a 5 star rating. I will say, I was not too happy when we finally arrived at the gate and couldn't get in. Save yourself the initial headache and enjoy this awesome location. Mehr

My family of 8 just returned from a 5 day vacation in Orlando and LOVED staying at Damai. The condos are beautiful, very clean, new appliances, modern look, and plenty of space. Only complaint would be the heat and air not being consistent throughout all the floors, there is one unit for the whole condo so while bottom floor may be cold, top floor is […] warm etc.- but honestly it's not a big enough deal to miss out on staying at such a great place. The pool and hot tub were wonderful too, really enjoyed it after walking at the parks all day. The whole place is well stocked with towels, extra lines, blankets, and other necessities. Flat screen tvs were also very nice. It's also very convenient to the theme parks, shopping, restaurants etc. I'd absolutely love to stay there again and would recommend to anyone. Mehr

Damai is a small townhouse development that is renting into the soft real estate market, for half of the price of a Disney hotel you get a 4 bed / 3 bath TH w/ fully kitchen, washer/dryer (LG throughout), also pool, gym and you are less than 10 minutes from Disney, great deal!

Great location for theme parks supermarket restaurants etc. Quiet, clean and new. Need own transport. Quiet escape from the mayhem of theme parks. Would definitely stay again.

This place was frawesome! I was terrified to stay here because there was only 1 review (5 stars) but no comments on the review. I stayed with my 2-yr-old and mother-in-law and was so surprised when I arrived. On the down side, hotels.com did not let me know that I had to go to the Lake Buena Vista Village Resorts to pick up the key. I drove around for […] almost an hour not knowing if I would ever get in. I called the number for the Damai and was directed to the hotel where I needed to go to pick up the key. With key in hand, I headed back to the condo and felt like I had died and gone to heaven. It was brand new and looked exactly the way it looked in the pictures. It has 3.5 floors, 4BR and 3.5 baths, all beautifully decorated and very modern. The master bathroom was gorgeous, the pool and hot tub was amazing (eternity hot tub), and everything was extremely well-maintained. The kitchen was so beautiful...granite countertops and LG appliances, and all the plateware/silverware needed! It was also nice to have a washer & dryer there, and they even had detergent there for us! The only reason I gave it 4 stars overall was because of how hard it was to get the key (this should be stated up front), and because google maps could not find the exact location on the map. I think that because the property was so new, they didn't even have the street name. It would have been helpful to have written directions, especially for most folks who don't know the area. The other problem was that it was impossible to regulate the temperature...it was ridiculous to have one thermostat for the entire condo. The downstairs was freezing and the upstairs master was hot. That was bearable though, because there was so much room to spread out and relax. My son spent hours just going up and down the many stairs. Having said that, this place is not good for anyone with a disability, or who has trouble going up and down stairs, unless you plan to be apart from everyone else. the main living area is Mehr

Nuestra visita a Orlanco fue espectacular y el town house ayudó mucho. El sitio es muy amplio, tranquilo y muy cerca de los parques de Disney. Nos permitio recuperar las fuerzas para arremeter al siguiente parque de diversiones. Vale mencionar que tuvimos un problema importante (dejamos olvidados nuestros pasaportes escondidos en algun sitio de la […] casa) y la asistencia del personal fue de lo mejor. não é um hotel convencional, mas era exatamente o que minha família etava procurando....super confortável, com muito bom gosto, muita privacidade, espaço de sobra. Nos sentimos em casa...recomendamos

Adorei a casa em que fiquei, tem 2 suites e 2 quartos com banheiro, tem banheiro extra no segundo andar onde fica a cozinha e a sala. Muito espaçoso. Porém, tive problemas para pegar as chaves e gostaria que o hoteis.com disponibilizasse um mapa aonde pega-las, com o endereço do local, pois fica em outro hotel (vineland e spa), e o gps mostra outro […] local ao colocar o endereço.
