Grosser Punktabzug.

"Phnom Penn"
Strange location, not easy to find it, have to walk up the parking lot, but rooms are very nice and clean, good wifi, great if you take the bus as there is an international bus company (to Saigon, or to Siem Reap) at street level. Ideal for early departures.
"Interesting location"
The hotel was ok, but the location on top of a noisy marked/parking house was not. We had problems finding it and some tuc tuc drivers did not want to drive up the steep and winding road. When you get on top of the marked, the entrance is through a restaurant. The staff is ok, but nothing more. The hotel is overlooking Pnom Phen and one of the largest […] local markeds - nice view. To far from restaurants and all the tourist places
"Grave Safety Risk - Horror Hotel"
Grave safety risk at Orussey Hotel in Phnom Penh. Staff put large chain lock on only exit doors at night. If there were a fire, we would be locked on top 2 floors. Very dangerous. I have a photo of the lock on Orussey Hotel doors.
"Tragic fire risk"
Stayed 5 nights January 2012. Lovely & clean rooms. Staff poorly trained, could not operate bottle opener, very little English. Nice smiles. Grave danger with hotel "security" putting chain lock on only exit doors at night. If there were a fire, we would be locked in top 2 floors of hotel! Scary. I have a photo of lock on door handles of Orussey Hotel. If […] hotel changed safety risk, my rating would go up. Mehr
"Need to Know Things"
I picked this hotel which is a few miles west of the main tourist/backpacker/waterfront hotels because the motorbike rentals were nearby. I did learn that there are 5-6 major bus company stops either outside the main parking entrance or across the street. As I was travelling on to Ho Chi Minh, this was very convienent. Watch out for local scams from […] locals trying to get you to their homes near the bus stops, see tripavdvisor, this is not associated with the hotel. I was not happy with the local motorbike rental places named Lucky Lucky and New New. My passport was at the Embassy for a VISA and they would not rent me a bike. Anyhow, the main reason for the post: it is hard to find the location of this hotel. It is located above the Orussey Market, but its entry is hard to find. You actually go up the circular parking garage ramp. There are no posted signs and you go up 2-3 circular levels. You go through the general restuarant entrance and down one level to get to receptiion. Then on the elevators, you go up two levels to level 3 which has rooms listed as if they are on level 5 or 6. It is hard to get to the main street level at night as the market at floor levels are closed at night. Overall, the hotel is OK, but it is hard to find at first. They have hard wire internet, no wifi, that is if the outlet is not jammed into the wall. Breakfast at the hotel, which is not free, was poor. This is a great location for a one night stay if you are cathching a bus. Otherwuse, go to the main tourist/backpacker/waterfront hotels. Mehr
"Excellent transit hub"
After previous staying at this hotel for a week while exploring Phnom Penh, we liked it enough to return for a second stay en route to the southern coast. While a bit expensive by Cambodian standards, it is a good value. Our room was big, the A/C is very cold, and because the hotel is on top of a parking garage, it is both quiet and safe (well, if […] you get a room over one of the karaoke rooms, it can be noisy... you can always ask to be moved to another room). The absolute highlight is their gym. It's almost as good as the gym I use in America and it is free for hotel guests. The front desk won't tell you about it, but it is on the first floor and is open from 10am-9pm most days. The best part is that Capitol Tours buses leave for all parts of Cambodia from right across the street. That makes the hotel an excellent choice for a quiet place to stay before heading off again. "Far above the chaos of the streets"
This hotel is something of a mystery: it appears in no guidebooks or local tourist materials. But, that lack of publicity makes it a real find. First of all, the other reviewers are correct: the hotel IS very hard to find. If you arrive during the day (before 6pm), go through the arch with the blue sign that says "Orussey Market". Walk straight back […] and go up the stairs. On the 3rd floor, you will find an elevator. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor (confusing, yes, but the 3rd floor of the market is the Ground floor of the hotel). If you arrive after the market closes, as other guests have noted, you must walk through the parking garage (look for the giant neon ORUSSEY sign that is missing at least half the letters). Yes, walking up the ramp is inconvenient, but it also means no one is wandering in by accident. The hotel was built in 1991, but it looks like it was built yesterday. The room we stayed in (532) was spacious and very clean. Apparently, the hotel exists for vendors doing business in the market to stay when they travel in from China or Vietnam. We saw very few other people in the hotel. Although it was "expensive" by Cambodian standards, we found the price very reasonable for an A/C room with free bottles of water, lots of channels on the cable TV, and BY FAR the greatest gym I have ever found in a hotel. Seriously... the front desk will not mention it, but on "Floor 1" is a membership-gym that is free for hotel desks. If you are a guy, you can reach it by walking through the Men's Steam Room (yes, they have saunas and jacuzzis available as well). Women have to detour through the pedicure area. Regardless, the guy has tons of free weights, a half-dozen machines, mats and balls for core-work, a bike and some treadmills, as well as a big picture window that looks out over the city. The (much cheaper) Capitol Guesthouse is directly across the street. They operate Capitol buses as well, which means you can catch a bus to virtually anywhere in Cambodia j Mehr

"Stay away from this hotel."
Worse location possible. Hotel is absolutley hidden and after 10:00 you have to walk up 4 floors in a parking lot just to reach the lobby. The location is so bad, ny taxi driver got lost and asked countless locals around to help us find the place. Nobody on the front desk speaks a word of English so they are useless for help. Also, none of the taxis […] or Tuk Tuks speak English in this area. It's in a very dirty part of Phnom Penh, avoid this one, I've seen better places than this for cheaper. Mehr
"Weird location"
The room is very nice and specious for the price. The staff understand English ok. The location is really odd.Tuk tuk drop us off at Orussey market and It took us almost half an hour to find the entrance of the hotel. The address is 2nd floor of Orussey market but everywhere we looked is just small shops and people were packing up to go home. Finally […] we found a very nice boy,Cambodian are very nice, who told us that we were not on the 2 nd floor but we were on the haft floor! What's that?? He lead us to a staircase that looks dark and abandoned leading to another abandoned food court looking floor then take an elevator up to the hotel!! After the hours of the market you have to use a parking entrance to get to/from hotel but the market is next to Capitol bus station that you can hop in to go to Siem Reap for 5$. Mehr
"Orussey Hotel - a great find"
If you want to stay somewhat off the beaten tourist path this is the hotel for you. We planned on staying a couple of days but liked it so much we stayed weeks. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a first class gym. The staff is friendly but don't speak much English they are helpful if you can be patient with them. If you want to be around a lot […] of other tourist stay in Riverside instead. There is a virtual beehive of activity at the local's market located under the hotel filled with things you can't even imagine. If you want to see the real Cambodia and have a nice room to escape to at the end of the day the Orussey Hotel is the place for you. Mehr
"A somewhat hidden gem"
Although I could understand if some would find this hotel a bit hard to find, as it is located inside the Orrusey market, and has no regular street entrance, I was very happy with the privacy and comfort provided there. The hotel is business friendly, and my room was clean and fairly large, and with a big television, full cable package, as well as a […] fast and stabile internet wi-fi connection. The shower was also clean and large, with plenty of hot water pressure. The staff was friendly, attentive and courteous. This is a no frills kind of business hotel, so don't expect a lot of fancy decor, but if you prefer simplicity and functionality at a reasonable price, I am sure that anyone would be happy with the general atmosphere of this place. I would most definitely consider staying at this hotel again in the future. Mehr
"Great value in heart of action"
Hotel right above a local market. Pretty authentic part of town in the action and for people looking for a real experience. Only big draw back is access outside hours requires access up multiple levels of driveway (built for car access and tuk-tuks will not take the journery). Rooms are large and clean. Good English from the staff.
"hotel quality, hostel prices - but bit hidden away"
This hotel was lovely inside and the room was such a treat! It is a bit of a way from the riverfront area (10 min tuk tuk for 2 or 3 dollars or 30 mins walk) but that didn't matter too much as you get a taste of real Phnom Penh. The drivers don't know where it is but you walk up the slope outside the market with the lit 'Orrussey' sign above. It really […] was a good quality hotel (but the jacuzzi advertised was men's only - the women only get a steam room). We'd recommend it as a bit of a find. A posh hotel experience on a traveller budget in real town as opposed to the usual tourist trail. Mehr

"knepigt lage men frascht hotell"
Hotellet ar jattefint, frascht, bra rum och bra personal. Hottelts gaster har gratis tillgang till stor spaavdelning med skandinavisk bastu, angbastu, jacuzzi mm. Bra pris mycket for pengarna.
