This is a boutique hotel with nice clean comfortable rooms. Bathroom was very nice with an actual large shower stall and plenty of towels. Hard to find only a brass sign on a wall reception on 3 rd floor tiny 2 person lift, scary on arrival but what a surprise fabulous room with balcony and view of room rooftops wow breakfast limited continental but great coffee and tasty croissants if you are up for an exciting surprise and just b&b and no bar then this is fabulous ud go back!

I have stayed in many european hotels and this one is a good one. The check in was very quick and easy and the desk clerk extremely helpful. The clerk speaks Italian and English and is very helpful with how to get to sites to see and extremely helpful in arranging transportation back to the airport. If you are looking for typical American amenities […] such as a coffee maker, etc or walls full fo pictures or frilly duvet covers forget it...European hotels are not American hotels and do not include these things in your stay. Seems more is expected in American hotels. The hotel is very convenient to the metro and several sites within easy walking distance. Hotel being right in the middle of via Nazionale makes it easy to walk to all tourist destinations and Termini. When we arrived the receptionist was very friendly and draw on the map all sights and how we should go to them. Rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Rooms were cleaned everyday but also everyday we found something missing like […] a towel, blanket etc...and there was no trash bin in the room?! Rooms are also noisy because you can hear everything through the ventilation system. After all it was good value for money with excellent location so I would go there again. Mehr

pretty standard, if you want a fancy place then dont book here. if you want somewhere clean, cheap and in a brilliant location then here is the place. stayed for 3 nights with the girlfriend in January and couldnt fault the place really, cheap, clean &great location (walk to the colloseo took literally 10 minutes)

We had a wonderful stay at this little gem of a hotel. It is right in the heart of Rome - short walk to the colosseum and close to many other famous sites. The staff was very helpful and friendly - gave us a lot of tips about what things to see - how to get there. If we needed anything, they were right there to help. They speak Spanish/Hablan español. […] They arranged for a private taxi to bring us back out to Fiumicino Airport at the end of our stay - pointed out that for the three of us, it was actually cheaper than the DaVinci Express train. So there isn't any signs on the street to get your attention of this hotel. Had to go to an information booth to find it. We check in and there is a 2 euro tax per night per person that we weren't told about. Our room was in a completely different building where our AC and TV didn't work, asked everyday we were there for another towel and never got […] it. We check out early for a flight and when we checked out the guy that was sleeping behind the counter said we didn't pay this "tax" when we check it. Because of time we didn't deal with him, so we paid another 6 euro each. Dont stay here. I can guarantee you'll be able find a better hotel around the same price. Mehr

Great location - walking distance to old town and rail station (from where train goes directly to airport.) We didn't take taxi at all; took a bus to Vatican (which was free, bus stop is next to the hotel.) Room was quite and looked freshly renovated. Shower was spotless clean and comfortable. Personal was very friendly: provided us with the map with […] marked main attractions and the hotel location; they gave us a kettle to use when they learned that we liked to make our own tea. Air conditioner went off one night, but it was fixed in a couple of hours. 4 euro breakfast was worst it: fresh coffee, juice, pastries, ham, cheese, and fruits. We would stay there again. Mehr

This hotel is not up to standard for a 3 star hotel charging such high rates. We stayed in the annex section which is in the buildin gnext door, ie no reception in our building so anyone can walk in. Very weak locks on the bedroom doors and all doors showed obvious signs of previous break in's ( screwdriver marks). There is a locked door on the Esposizione […] floor, but this door has to be pulled shut by guests & several times we found this door was left open. Aside from our major concerns with the security of the room, the hotel has several other major faults. Air con unit is very noisy & can't be switched off at night. Our tv only held a channel signal for a few minutes at a time, but this hardly mattered because all channels were in Italian. Wifi is very weak. Bed rock hard & lumpy. Not enough towels left most days of our stay. Phone in room doesn't show the number to dial reception meaning you have to walk to the next building to speak to reception. With the sole exception of the girl who checked us in, the other receptionists I spoke to (both men) were nothing short of rude. Overall totally dissatisfied with the hotel. Mehr

My room was relatively large, and there is good desk to sit and write at. The floor is tile (clean). My room faced the courtyard and was quiet. My total experience, however, was a little weird. Finding […] the hotel was tricky. There are two entrances, in different buildings, with small brass plaques saying "Hotel Esposizione" (to check in, you want the one that uses the entrance to "Hotel Michigan"). The TV in my room didn't work, and the guy came over from the hotel in the next building. While he fiddled with the TV, I couldn't find a drinking cup and asked. He said, "No drinking cup". I told him the WiFi password was wrong, but "No. This is correct. You wait." He hurried back because he had to take care of both locations. So I ended up with no TV, no WiFi and no drinking cup that day. The next morning, another guy came and fixed the TV. He gave me the right password for the WiFi. (Yesterday's password was for the wrong building.) He gave me a disposable drinking cup. He acted as though giving me a cup was a favor, and the next day housekeeping disposed my cup and did not replace it. I realize that these were minor issues, but these guys were sort of creepy, so I feel can't recommend the hotel without adding some warnings. Mehr

Both our rooms were in the "annex" - one floor of rooms in a different building, two doors down. Our first room was huge but the A/C hardly worked. Then we were moved to a smaller room (with much better A/C!). At one point the bathroom pipes started leaking, but maintenance arrived literally within 30 seconds of our call. Internet was spotty in the […] annex, but you needed 3 keys to reach your room, which made us feel very safe! Both rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, even printing tour tickets for us when we were in a bind. Hotel is a short walk from the metro, Piazza Venezia, Roman ruins, Trevi Fountain -- not particularly close to anything, but a short walk from a lot! Mehr

This is not what you would call a hotel! It is located on the 3rd floor of a building which is difficult to find because it's so inconspicuous. The lift is a metal cage and you're lucky if you can fit in three people! The floor the "hotel" is located on is shared with another "hotel" and there are no signs indicating where you need to go. The location of the hotel requires some walking to get to the tourist sites but with all of the sites spread out in Rome this was a good hotel to get to all of the sites. The room was a good size for Europe and the bathroom was nice but the shower was a little small. Staff was friendly and our room was kept very clean. The staff was great when we checked-in and very helpful and the location makes it easy to walk to all of the major landmarks. We had a quad room and it was a big room (had 5-beds). However, the furniture was really worn in what I would have seen in a 1 to 2 star hotel. The floor was dirty (walking in bare feet you could see dirt on your feet). Room had a really ceiling and was fairly spacious for a family of four. Bathroom was a little tight - especially the shower. There was a little store and a few restaurants around the corner, which was convenient, and the subway station was a 10 minute walk up the street. This hotel was great! The front desk staff was extremely helpful the day we got there, as well as the days we stayed. When we needed directions, they were more than happy to assist. The hotel is somewhat hard to find, since it is located on the 3/4 floors of a building and the sign is small to see. Would've been an ok hotel for the price except for two things - noise from the surrounding rooms and dysfunctional internet connection. If you are awoken almost every night (we stayed there for 7 nights) between 2 and 4 AM, everything else doesn't matter.

Perfect location. I was able to walk to the Spanish Steps, the Coliseum and Palitin in minutes. I was able to walk to the Vatican as well, though it was probably a 20-30 minute walk. May not be for everyone, but the buses make it easy. Easy walk from the main train station. Took a taxi from the airport not knowing that I could have taken the subway […] to the train station and then just walked to the hotel. The internet connection was my only problem. It was sparse and didn't work very well while I was staying there. The staff recognized that there was a problem and worked to fix it and showed a genuine concern. Hotel Esposizione was perfect for what we needed. We arrived early in the morning and one of our rooms was available so they let us put our luggage in there.We had a quad and a double room. The quad was spacious enough for 4 people and all of our luggage and the double had a small balcony. Not ideal for couples or if you are looking for a special weekend. The rooms are very basic and the bathroom small. I went for a birthday weekend for 4 days with a group of girlfriends and to be honest, it was perfect for this. Bed was comfortable and room fairly clean. Towels changed on a daily basis. I am glad I read reviews on the difficulty of findiong […] the hotel and the confusing check in procedure.....we had to check in in another building 2 doors down, after ringing the buzzer on the 4th floor where the hotel is, there is a small reception on this floor but never manned and the receptionists english was not good (thank god one of our group knew some italian). If you get back to the block after 10pm the main doors are shut and you have to buzz in. The lift can only accomadate 2 persons and luggage or 3 persons without luggage. The location of this hotel is great! Easily walking distance of almost major attractions. Food in the local restaurants is very reasonably priced and delicious. There is a coffeeshop 2 doors down from hotel which is perfect for breakfast also selling pasties and toasted sandwiches. There is a tourist information and taxi rank is just across the road - very convenient and the taxifares were surprising reasonable too. Only 12 Euros to the vatican. Mehr

My biggest concern with this hotel is we had no hot water for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. The staff was courteous about this and offered us the option to shower on the other side of the building. But this wasn;t convenient as we would have to go down to the first floor, walk outside to the other side and go back up to the 3rd floor. The room is typical 3-star hotel room, but you get what you paid for, and I am ok with that. However, on the 3rd day of our stay, there's no hot water in the shower. The staff promised us that it will be fixed. First it's 15 mins, then an hour, then after dinner, when we headed to bed, still no hot water. Next day when we returned to the hotel at 10pm, […] there's still no hot water. We asked the staff again, they told us no plumber works on Sun, they will fix the problem tomorrow. I told them this is ridiculous as by then we haven't had a shower for 2 days, and the guy just apologize and said nothing he can do as all rooms are occupied. I asked then if the whole building is out of hot water and he said yes. I told him maybe I should inquire about the hotel right opposite on the same floor, then he check with the manager AGAIN, this time he said he can give us another room (when he claimed all rooms were occupied 1 minute ago!). We have to repack everything, drag our luagges to another room located another building without any offering of help from the staff. When we checked into the new room, the shower water control came right off and the drainage pipe is so clogged we have to use our feet as plungers while you shower to ensure water won't overthrow. I know European hotels are usually small and not as fancy as N. American ones, but I'd think hot water is a bare basic that any hotel should provide at any time, regardless of whether it's weekend or weekday! Mehr
