Rundle Mountain Lodge - Canmore

Sehr gutes Hotel für den Anfang und das Ende unserer Rundreise durch die Rocky Mountains. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Whirlpool im Freien mit Blick auf die Berge sehr entspannend. Serviceleistung des Empfangspersonals überdurchschnittlich. Kommen gerne wieder.

I wanted a romantic getaway for me and my new guy we left early the next day because i couldnt stay there anymore. This place needs upgrades badly. And we had coffee in our room and no coffee maker to make it. And there was no hair dryer and the hot tub was broken.

Ok, not the best, but certainly affordable. Walls are paper thin... you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on next door, or two doors down, or in the parking lot, etc. No Wi-fi (As was advertised) and no hot tub (as was advertised). Room clock had the wrong time, making me late for my evening appointment, and late for checkout. The whole reason for the trip […] was the evening engagement. Annoying. Whatever. A soft bed and a hot shower at a good price. Just don't expect any extras. Mehr

The room was very small, but clean. Furniture is all dated, but in decent shape! Shower head came to my chin and I am only 5'5. Hot tub was not working while we were there, over all not bad for the price, you get what you pay for at this one!

Although an older hotel, I loved the smell of pine and the cozy feel to the place. There was no hot tub although advertised and it was a little noisy (heard neighbors TV) so that was disappointing but overall a very nice and comfortable place to stay.

We rented a "one queen cabin" and specifically called the hotel to check that it had a kitchenette like shown in the picture before we booked. We were told yes it did. A week before arriving we called to check what was there and we were told we didn't have a kitchenette. For one thing we called to check, and for another the picture shows it does. So […] we were very disappointed it didn't. The hot tub was broken and they said you could walk across the street, pay $7 and they would reimburse you.. needless to say we didn't bother. Pool looked fine. The girl at the desk said microwave, there was no microwave. Coffee machine didn't work. And there was a guy burning a fire behind the hotel so we couldn't open our bathroom window. Surprisingly besides all that, we did enjoy our stay and who can REALLY complain at the price. Just disappointed on everything they said we had and didn't. Would have been better just to not say anything at all. have a fire pit out front which would be nice to use. Ps - be careful the pet cat doesn't come with you for a road trip, it jumped in my car. Felt like we were bothering the staff at reception whenever we had a question. Beds were hard. TV had a poor signal. There were no water kettle for boiling water. The hot tub was not in use and pool's water was cold.

The room had a strange odour and even after airing out it was still there on the 3rd day. The fridge didn't work, there were no lights in the bathroom at the pool, There was no dresser to put your clothes and only 1 small drawer in a credenza to store anything.We couldn't get the shower to work properly and even after specifically asking that no-one […] come into the room, we surprised an employee trying to enter the room to "replace the towels". We stayed in motel-cabin, walls and ceiling were from cedar wood, nice pleasant atmosphere. Small bathroom with window for fresh air, kitchen with full stove , oven + microwave but very few plates, cups, pots. And table + chairs, just perfect for a short skiing holiday with possibility to prepare your breakfast or light dinner. It is outside the town, […] you need a car to get there, but it's only a short drive. The noisy train is on the other side of the road, we did not really have problems with it, but there are some motels who are facing the tracks, so I would be careful here.. We had a good time there, but we werent able to use the computer because the wireless wasnt that good

For what I paid per night I shouldn't be shocked that the TV did not have a remote and, we got no Wi-Fi service, and had a very uncomfortable bed. However, the staff was friendly and helpful in planning our sightseeing in Banff so I wasn't that upset.

Upgraded to a two room,, it was nice to be able to lock The kids in a separate room for those 2 nights

Being an older place it was fairly well looked after but does need some upgrades. The people were really friendly and that counts largely. For a quick stay over I recommend Rundle Mountain Lodge but to sta longer it needs upgrades. Thanks for the 2 comfortable nights

The front desk staff were great and very helpful in showing and telling us the best things to do in Canmore! The hotel was clean and comfortable and would definatly recommend it to anyone! We will be staying there again!

We had the jacuzzi suite. There was supposed to be a DVD player however it was missing, otherwise we were satisfied with the room.

Always exactly what I need for everything from skiing to Dogsledding. Great easy location.

I've stayed here a number of times, and will in the future! Not fancy, but a nice place for me and my dogs to lay our heads after a night of work and play in the Bow Valley. Reception staff are SO nice; welcoming and accomodating.

The room was clean, although it smelled of old alcohol. The fan in the bathroom is very noisy. The join from the carpetto flooring towards the bathroomneeds to be fixed. I could feel something sharp right join. Maybe a nail needs to be pounded down. Other than that, I would stay there again. The reception room for my son's wedding was lovely!

THIS IS A VERY CLAEN AND CLASSY HOTEL AND VERY NICE STAFF

For the money the hotel was great! It was a close walk into town. The only complaint was that the walls are a little thin so you can hear people in other rooms around you, but only during the day when they are up and about. It was very quiet at night. The room was nice and warm and perfect for the money.

The room was perfect for the needs of myself and my dogs. Everything in the room was clean and in good working order. Reception staff was very friendly and pleasant to meet.

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were even given an upgraded room from what we booked. Great Value

I enjoyed my 2 nights spent in the Rundle Mountain Lodge.. The room is very cosy and charming. Dave on reception was super helpful and as the Lodge is located close to restaurants and only 15mins walk to town its location is very handy!! It also has FABULOUS views of the mountains!!! :)

Needed a cheap place to stay in Canmore while we ran in the 5 Peaks trail race. We got a great rate from hotels.com :) But we got what we paid for :( Stayed in the old part of the hotel (almost 50 years old). The outside is well maintained. Newer roof, exterior painting etc. Property looks okay. Rooms are rustic log cabin, and smell like other old log […] cabins in the Rockies. Room was pretty dirty, but okay. Coffee maker didn't work. Heater didn't work (needed pilot light to be lit). No hairdryer, and the one we got from reception blew up on the second day. Glasses (wrapped in paper) were filthy - obviously not washed. Could hear people in next room talking etc till 2am. Hot Tub shut down (health hazard?!?) David seems a little uncomfortable with his notoriety on Trip Advisor LOL! Would never stay here again. Mehr

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel the service was amazing they were friendly and very helpful with giving us ideas of what sights to see i am very impressed with not only the staff but the sizes and comfort of the rooms all in all this is a great place to stay

The room was so small, the beds were old, the window was broken, the carpet was very old, the walls were so thin you could hear EVERYTHING in the next room, and last but not least customer service was....well rude. I would not reccomend this hotel. Down the street were lots of other hotels with way better quality, and customer service.

Like I said, there are probably better hotels. The room smelled musty and closed in. Staff seemed indifferent. Pool seems a little dirty. No air-conditioning in rooms, where we were (in small single level rooms where you could park in front of). We were desperate, but would probably not stay there a second time.

little hot at night, nothin fancy but canmore is so beautiful that you should spend time in the hotel anyway. you get what you pay for. will stay again

We had a great stay. Clean & Comfortable. We walked to downtown Canmore to tour, snack, enjoy coffee, and have some great meals.

The main problem was there was no way to cool the room, unless we kept the door open. The bathroom was also too warm, since every time you turned on the light, you got more heat. The coffee pot didn't work and the beds weren't very comfortable. This was a room on the second floor of the establishment. The pool was nice and so was the setting of the […] hotel, but the room we stayed in was dated with poor air flow and no A/C. Mehr

The refrigerator smell very bad, I couldn't even use it. Wall was so thin, you can hear every conversation next door, the room was simply way too hot.

this was a motel not a lodge or a hotel,we were put in a cabin!! which was actually a very cheap motel room with wood panelling inside, the room was dirty, the sheets were too small for the bed and they kept slipping off so we were sleeping on the bare mattress. The walls were so thin you could hear everything next door including sneezes and coughs. […] The maid only changed the towels and did not make the bed or clean up at all, even after I complained and she came back, the room was still dirty. the hotel next door was newer and much nicer and was $10 cheaper, I would not stay at this place again. again! hotel was dirty and found a hair in the fridge and a rasin on the sink and the clean glasses to drink from were dirty and we just walked into the hotel room and the sink taps were rotted out and loose.

Room was extremely hot, no air conditioning. Pillows were awful, but apparently they bought new ones.

We got an upgrade which was a pleasant suprise and so LOTS of room. Hotel is pretty basic ,but comfortable and ideally located just outside Canmore town centre. The Highway 1 is VERY close so traffic noise is a issue at night.

MAID SERVICE WAS NEARLY NON EXISTANT ROOM WAS CLUTTERED AND MESSY

everything was very good except the internet service , it was very slow and crashed frecuently
