Hotel Poblado Campestre - Medellin

The hotel is actually one of the houses of the already 30-40 year old neighborhood, located across the street one of the best social clubs in Medellin. The neighborhood is quite calm and very trendy, not to mention how safe and well located it is. The rooms are a bit old styled and I'd say the old TV sets could be replaced, though I had a good 37" one […] which still works fine. The bathroom is simple and good enough, but nothing fancy... it does the job and it was clean! Breakfast was good and you had a couple of options to choose from, being it's patio location really nice, since it's by the garden and all the birds can be seen and listened to. I'd likely go back if I needed a cheap option in the neighborhood. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay this hotel. The hotel was very clean, centrally located, in a safe, gated area of El Poblado. The staff was friendly, and the included breakfast was delicious. The only downside... the bed was a bit hard for my taste.

Since I could speak no Spanish and only one desk clerk did, they let me use the computer translator and called a woman for me to speak to on the phone to translate for me. They went outside to make sure the taxi driver they called could speak English and when one couldn't they had him call another that could. A simple but really nice place. It is an old house turned hotel. It feels like you are a guest in a family home. It is a nice way to experience the real Colombia.

Let's start with the bad: Internet isn't so great out of the common areas. If the hotel is super busy, hot water isn't 100% reliable. Hotel provided no maps. Good: EXCELLENT STAFF. They treated us like were were paying $400 a night. Front desk is super friendly, cleaning staff is great (but doesn't need to replace the soap every day! Not sustainable! […] Still appreciated) So clean, comfortable, and VERY VERY VERY accommodating. Clean rooms, nice bathrooms. Breakfast was tasty. Did I mention that staff was wonderful? We were two young single guys staying in a hotel that's very family-friendly and we never once felt out of place. Just great, I recommend it. Mehr

Not a luxury hotel, but has a lovely garden and is extremely good value for money. You need to take a taxi or metro for the centre, but taxis are cheap so its not a problem.

This is a lovely small homelike hotel with a very friendly, helpful, attentive staff. The location is on a quiet private street in a residential section of Poblado but is a close to most things of interest. Metro and shopping are within walking distance though taxis are reasonable as well and the Hotel staff will readily call you a taxi. The small restaurant […] serves tasty reasonably priced meals. The free wireless Internet is fast and reliable. The rooms are plain but clean and furnished with everything you need. A good economical choice for Medellin...especially if you like small Hotels (I do!) one note: if you take a taxi be sure to take a hotel business card with you for your return trio. Because this is a small hotel some taxi drivers were not familiar with it. However it is easy to find and when given the address all the taxi drivers knew immediately where it was. Mehr

El nombre de campestre lo puede hacer creer a uno que es en el campo, pero lo que ocurre es que es al lado del club campestre. Es un hotel pequeño, de ambiente muy familiar, con gente muy amable, habitaciones comodas, y limpias, y lo mejor muy cerca de sitios de atraccion turistica, y centros comerciales a los cuales se puede ir incluso a pie. Habiendo sido nuestra primera vez en la ciudad de Medellín,fué afortunada nuestra elección de hotel debido a su excelente ubicación y a la tranquilidad que ahí se tiene para descansar.Si bien es pequeño,resulta muy cómodo y el servicio es atento,amable y siempre dispuestos a colaborar con el huésped. Sin duda lo recomiendo ampliamente.
