Q-City Hotel - Guangzhou

For 2 days ok but for more I suggest to use different one. Very slow internet connection (Cable one!), No WiFi in the lobby (they say there is one but it is permanently broken). Poor English. Dirty shower. They dont clean things under the tables and bed... Very modern and dark rooms (very poor lightning). This is my 3rd time staying here. Rooms are big and spacious and really value for money even during the Canton Fair. The hot water this time worked perfectly fine, and did not stop intermittently as on my previous stay. The hotel was very accommodating toward room changes - room was too dim so we requested for a change and everything was done fairly […] quickly. I likes the hotel. But I was unhappy with the location of the hotel. When I booked the hotel. I punched in the address of the location I wanted to be close too on the hotel.com website. It was only supposed toi be 0.7 km from the address I entered. When I arrived to the hotel I found out that the hotel was quite a distance away over 15km. I stayed three nights at Q city hotel. The staff at front desk doesn't know how to speak proper English to the guest. All you can hear from them is 'what', 'what!', 'what?'. Staff needs trainning for communicating with foriegn guest. I saw many scenes of argument at front.

No complain about comfort of this hotel, except no internet connection even with 3 bar signal on mobile signal

Stayed only for one night in a junior suite and had a very pleasant stay. The hotels location is perfect for sight seeing with several parks, the old town and some interesting temples etc just around the corner. If you want to get a quick look at both the old and the new Guangzhou this is a good choice. There is a starbucks close by for breakfast […] and several McDonalds restaurants within walking distance if you want a safe western option. The hotelroom seemed new and was huge and very nice with a living room, small kitchenette and bedroom. All in all very good value for money and my first choice if I ever come back to Guangzhou. Mehr

the only thing that im not too satisfied about this hotel is the WIFI connection in the lobby that extremely bad in my first and second day of staying there..... the rest was "ok" .... plenty of restaurant around the hotel and the food was nice ......

As a place to stay I like this hotel because it provides good value. Clean bed, modern look, 2 flat screen TVs and lots of room. Very little in room service but that's ok. I am happy with the room itself. I find issues though with their Internet service and conceirge. The internet service is quite slow, even though it's a wired connection in room. […] Connection not reliable enough for constant use. The other issue is the staff's knowledge of local areas and ability to express them. They don't seem to have the information I need, even on basic things like where to eat around town, what are the sites, and such. Maybe they do know but their ability to express them leaves somewhat desirable. Despite issues above, it is a no-frills, good value hotel that exudes comfort and style beyond its star rating would suggest. Definitely worth a return visit. Mehr

D bed is extremely hard, my friend had sore back all over n sleepless nite, is like sleeping on a piece of wood rather matress, else, everything is cool.

The hotel staff are less than helpful, and extremely slow. Rather wanting to chat to each other than assist guests. Their English is lacking as well, which makes it harder, and they have to knowledge of the area at all. The hotels location is not really near anything for tourists, and the surrounding restaurants are mainly for Chinese, and so have […] no English menus. Apart from the two straight across the street, which were good. The rooms are large, new and well looked after. Which is this hotels only redeeming quality. I love this hotel. Will sat there again. Worth money

We probably arrived during staff training, so there were six people at the front desk. Half of them processed our two rooms normally, and one of them told us they were still not ready, and we could relax in the lounge while the rooms were cleaned. Half-an-hour later, no one had approached us with the status, so I checked back at the front desk. Another […] person said it would take an hour to get the room ready and in the meantime... relax in the lounge. We asked to have our bags kept at the concierge (something they could have suggested instead) and went out for a very late lunch. An hour later, a third person gave us the same 1-hour delay message and courteous offer to sit it out. After I complained about the delays, the busiest person told us we could take one of the two rooms. Bottom line, we got both rooms by evening. The staff were courteous, but they were likely working within a system that makes coordination difficult. Everything else about the hotel was great. The rooms were modern and clean. I still don't know why the beds had a smoked glass view of the showers, but the styling is nice. The rooms included a kitchenette and free water in bottles. My sister wished there was a hair dryer. I liked the high speed Internet, and then remembered that Facebook was blocked. The beds were excellent. So comfortable that when I put my head down on those pillows I was asleep in no time. Overall, I think the hotel is one that I would go back to again and again. It is conveniently located and it has all the amenities I like. Hopefully, the staff will be better trained to work together and will take the initiative to find solutions instead of following a handbook of canned responses. Mehr

We had a wonderful stay at Q City Hotel, Guangzhou. The only feedback from me is please check the toilet of room 1104. Kind of urinate smell from there, could be due to the leakage of the pipe.

check in a bit slow, but the room is clean & comfort. I will go back again.

We booked a Superior room but are allowed to upgrade to a Deluxe room free of charge. This hotel is quite new (only 6 mths old). The room is big and there are 2 LCD TVs. Service is very efficient as the hotel service staff came within 3 mins after we gave them a call regarding our safe problem. The only complaint I have is that there is no dressing […] table mirror in the room except in the toilet which is quite inconvenient for ladies who want to do makeup at the same time. Mehr

Got free upgrade to junior suite. Very big and comfortable. Huge living room and kitchen. Very soft and big bed. Surrounded by many restaurants and clean estate. Can give the Japanese restaurant right opposite of the hotel a try. They serve nice food. The only setback is there are no wifi in the room. Wifi are only available at the lobby which […] is inconvenient. I hope that the hotel will look into the wifi area. Overall, i will be back to this hotel to stay if i will be there next yr. Mehr

Nice and courteous staff, well GZ service level real suck but Q City hotel staff is helpful and nice. Overall our stay is quite pleasant .

El personal del front desk poco amable, no de buen humor. Por ser de negocios es importante tener WiFi en todo el hotel y sería muy conveniente un restaurante, aunque fuera pequeño.

酒店還在裝修中, 我們訂之房間upgrade了. 雖然在網上提及有wifi 服務.....但沒有 房間十分整潔很滿意

晚上大概8點才check in ..但他們沒有我會紀錄.,..連 hotels.com 的email 也給他們看過..但弄了半小時以上吧..之後才給我們一家尾房.. 房間外的燈是壞的,..+ 上是晚上 還有最後的關係 ..感覺..不太好><進去後朋友說房間有人用過 =還沒清潔好? 其他都還不錯 ! 只是剛check in 還蠻失望..房間一房一廳 ..廳是沒什麼用= = 但還是不錯 ! 如果廁所可以泡浴會更好 ! 下次來工作還是可以住 @@ 只是要求不要尾房+沒燈就好= =

房間算是不錯，是次價錢合理。

超值的酒店，下次廣州之旅一定再光臨！

i had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. it was easy to grab a cab, severals food rest nearby.

房間很寬敞,有開放式廚房、書桌、梳化、兩部電視機、暖氣設備。取房後發現廁所有濃烈異味,服務員亦很快更換房間, 提供的交通資訊不太清楚, 其實位置應該是近地鐵, 酒店內沒有餐廳, 附近的餐廳亦少, 而且開門時間遲, 要找早餐吃便要走遠一點。要打的就要多點耐性找車, 酒店前的路比較少車。

Q-City 位於越秀區內, 交通便利 ! 近中國大酒店和地鐵站 ! 酒店設備都齊全.

酒店交通尚算寧靜方便，所以夜生活欠奉。我是從hotel.com訂房，所以覺得非常便宜。Superiror房間也很大且設備充足，服務員態度不錯。床枕方面，本人非常欣賞，感到很舒適! 可能酒店只開業半年，所以設施乾淨。總體上本人十分滿意!

Bokade hotellet efter att ha sett jättefina foton och tidigare omdömen. Vi bokade den största och dyraste sviten för 5 nätter, men blev jättebesvikna. Vårt rum var inte alls lika fint som på fotona. Vardagsrumsdelen var tråkig och kändes instängt utan fönster, rent ut sagt deprimerande. Sängarna var hårda som alltid i Kina. Det är en nattklubb i bottenplan […] som spelar musik till tidig morgon och det är mycket svårt att sova. Personalen kan igen eller väldigt lite engelska. Och de tog heller aldrig någon notis av oss gäster som kom in genom entrén. De hälsade aldrig utan stirrade ner på sin dataskärmar när man gick förbi till hissen. Mycket dålig kund Focus. Det krävs mer än fina bilder på Internet för att driva ett hotell. Hotellet är i grunden rent, fräscht och modernt och skulle kunna vara ett jätte trevligt design hotell, men tyvärr så kändes det istället väldigt opersonligt, ogästvänligt och avlägset. Mehr

the hotel is quite new that the staffs are unexperienced in handling odds. the reception couldn't find our reservation from hotel.com. though we had the printed confirmation, they seemed not trusting us & used very long time to check us in. Also the staff rolled our credit cards twice for deposit without informing us...

Rooms were just great.... Restaurant is definately not good and service is also quite bad.... but the rooms are sooo good.

no hotwater, no cleaning the room just if I asked to, no hair drier, no money exchange, no computers or internet, humidity hard odor.....complete crap!

It's comfort, clean and quit. I think this hotel is in Commercial District, it's safe if you reach there at night. However, reception not really nice and Fee WIFI in Lobby not stable. No breakfast provide, no free internet service in Room. But it's include a Dining/Living area in the Room, Nice! Metro station nearby. All attractions not too far, those […] can be reach within 10mins by Metro(but need > 15mins to Guangzhou Dong train station). Also, 7-11 just right next to front door and few restaurants in the opposite. I think I will come again since it's a good place to stay :) Mehr

酒店很新，房間空間很大，但浴室卻很小，有熨衣板及熨斗，卻沒有吹風機。 地理位置還可以，距地鐵站約７－８分鐘路程，酒店沒有餐廳但大門口對面有日本料理店及咖啡店，也有便利店。 前台空調很弱，工作效率頗低，而且刷卡機兩天都無法使用。
