dies ist kein hotel, eher ein b&b; im Erdgeschoß in einem Hofzimmer untergebracht, war die Unterkunft weit überbezahlt! Das Zimmer war nicht ordentlich gereinigt, die Bettwäsche wies Brandspuren von Zigaretten auf und die Einrichtung war spärlich und abgewohnt. Es gibt keinen Tisch oder eine andere ausreichende Ablage und der Koffer kann nur am Boden […] abgestellt werden, wo er dann zuviel Platz wegnimmt! Da das Frühstück im Eingangsraum des früheren lokalen Wohnhauses eingenommen werden muß ist kein Platz für mehr als 5 personen, wobei der 5. bereits keinen Platz am Tisch mehr hat. Einzig positiv ist die Lage in der Zona Colonial und die kurzen Wege zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Mehr

Die Leistung dieses Hauses, das eher einem B&B Betrieb entspricht, steht in keinem Verhaeltnis zum bezahlten Preis. Offensichtlich hat ein Wechsel im Managmement stattgefunden, denn die in den bisherigen Bewertungen genannten Personen arbeiten dort nicht mehr. Das Zimmer im Parterre ist abgewohnt, die Einrichtung spaerlich und alt, WC/Dusche so eng, […] dass man sich kaum ruehren kann. Das Zimmer wurde waehrend der 4 Tage NICHT gereinigt! am letzten Tag, als ich es eilig hatte zum Bus zu kommen, war das Fruehstueck, trotz der gegebenen Zeit, nicht vorbereitet und ich musste mir alles selbst zusammensuchen! Einziger Pluspunkt ist die Naehe zur Altstadt und den wichtigsten Sehenswuerdigkeiten. The performance of this house, rather corresponds to a B & B is inproportional to the price paid. Obviously, a change in Managmement has taken place, as persons mentioned in previous reviews do not work there anymore. The room on the ground floor is Pretty decent, the sparse furnishings old, toilet / shower so tight that you can hardly move. The room was NOT cleaned during the 4 days of my stay! on the last day when I was in a hurry to get to the bus, the breakfast was not prepared and I had to look for myself to get things together. The only positivev is its proximity to the old town and the main tourist attractions. Mehr

Hotel room was nothing amazing but it had everything that I could have wanted including tv, internet, warm shower, and breakfast. It was within a comfortable walking distance from most of the major colonial sites. My main problem was the noise from outside. Until about 12 am there was loud music and people talking outside that sounded like they were […] in my room. Also the intersection by the hotel had no stop signs so drivers would honk to let others know they weren't stopping. This started around 7 am which woke me up earlier than I wanted. But the hotel service was great and really friendly. I felt very safe inside the hotel and felt that I was well taken care of. Mehr

nice little hotel, nothing exceptional but with all the comforts, cable tv, clean, air con., very very helpful staff, balcony, good security, good breakfast (not a 5 star buffet but enough to start the day), and Ian and his girlfriend the best people to help you with any issue even if they don't get anything out of it, they spend time with you even […] showing you the town, advising and truly friendly. excellent place to stay, the only thing for some people could be poor is the neighborhood especially at night when i advice (if you are not confident with you self) to take a taxi even if is a 10 mins. walk, i didn't every night and didn't have any trouble. The location was the scariest place for someone that has never been to Santo Domingo. The receptionist could not speak any English but she was very nice. Had to climb very narrow stairs to get to the room and they forgot to turn the light on. The front door has bars and a lock on the door. You had to be almost a double amputee to sit on the toilet. […] A very old looking room but maintained well. They did have internet though(lol). I gave this a 3 but in the USA I would of given it a 1 or 2. Mehr

...the hotel itsself is very unique and has loads of charachter. The staff was very friendly, the rooms are all very different and clean, clean, clean! It is in a great location near the colonial zone, with plenty of options for food and drink. Thanks again guys!

Within minutes of checking in, the owner came to meet me and personally sat down with me to help me plan my tours and activities. He pulled out a map and showed me all the historic sites to visit and more importantly which streets were safe to walk on and which were best to avoid. The hotel is located in a safe location very close to Calle El Conde […] which is a large tourist area where the first cathedral in the western hemisphere still stands today. There are also a couple of clubs on el conde and plenty of restaurants with really good food. The main door to the hotel is always locked has metal gates and there's always a guard at the door to let people in and out 24 hours of the day. It is a small hotel but that can be an advantage since you get more personal attention from the staff who are all extremely helpful. Whether you're on a budget or not, this is a great place to stay. Hôtel quelconque, pas du tout confortable, il y a mieux pour moins chère dans les environs, le petit déjeuner est servi sur le bureau de l'accueil, ce qui est inadmissible A ne plus recommander aux visiteurs .
