There was no hot water in the first two rooms we were given. The third room had not been cleaned from the previous day.The fourth room finally had hot water and was fairly clean. The young lady at the desk was extremely helpful and tried her best to find us an acceptable room. You get what you pay for....we will not be staying there again.

FIRST ROOM WE WERE IN HAD EXCELLENT HEATING BUT NO HOT WATER. CLERK TRIED A FEW OTHER ROOMS BUT DID NOT HAVE ANY LUCK WITH HOT WATER IN THOSE EITHER. FINALLY FOUND ONE WITH HOT WATER, BUT ROOM HEATERS ARE NOT TURNED ON UNTIL A GUEST IS BOOKED TO THAT ROOM, SO NEEDLESS TO SAY THE ROOM WAS FREEZING SINCE IT WAS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS OUTSIDE. WE TURNED […] THE HEATER ON HIGH, BUT THREE HOURS LATER IT WAS STILL FREEZING IN THE ROOM AND BARELY HAD WARM AIR COMING FROM THE HEATER. CALLED THE FRONT DESK AGAIN, CLERK TRIED TO FIND A ROOM THAT HAD BOTH HEAT AND HOT WATER, BUT EVIDENTLY AT THIS HOTEL YOU CAN'T HAVE BOTH, SO SHE BROUGHT US A SPACE HEATER TO HELP WARM THE ROOM, THIS DID HELP A LITTLE BIT, BUT OVERALL A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH QUALITY INN. WILL NOT BE STAYING AT ANOTHER FOR A LONG TIME IF EVER. Mehr

No heat in the first room and termite traps throughout it! Would not stay here again. Front desk said they were not sure which rooms had heat several broken but my room wasn't noted- non heat! Not the place to stay when temperature dips into single digits!

I recommend to the management to bring in "Hotel Impossible" TV expertise to fix the lack of oversight/attention to detail. Arrived in darkness, parking lot lights were not working ... it was a little scary and unsafe, side access doors required no card swipe to open ... anyone unwanted could walk in and browse the halls. Sink was leaking on to the […] floors. Floor lamp in room was blinking on and off, had to unplug to shut off. Sheets and towels were clean. Carpet in hallways and in rooms had many and some dreadful stains. Our room had 4 major stains. Dirty carpet. Lighting fixture between beds wasn't plugged in, had to move bedstand to plug in fixture. Breakfast was good. We had a pet and were surprised of $25 pet fee after doing research and seeing nothing about fees on the Expedia site ... that was dissappointing. Dissapointed overall. Lack of good lighting in parking was a big security concern. After a 10 day of driving, yes, we were disappointed. Would not recommend this motel. Mehr

The hotel wasn't the best, but from surrounding hotels' reviews, this seemed to be the safest. You don't get what you paid for in this hotel. The wifi didn't work in my room, nor did the heater. I had the heater on and it finally heated up the room the next morning. It was freezing even after I took the sheets from the other bed.

The stairwells were gross and creepy. The bathroom in our room was also gross (tiles in the tub/shower). The outside doors were not locked, so anyone could have walked into the hotel at any time! The curtains in our room were falling off. The smell in a smoking room was just nasty!!! I took a smoking room so a woman and her two small children could […] have my non-smoking room, because her room was given away because of her late arrival. Once I walked into the room, I understood why she didn't want to stay in it with her kids. I got home and my clothes smelled like the room!!! Very unhappy! Mehr

This hotel had none of the amenities listed on the web-site. The parking lot had multiple tractor trailors parked on the lot. It looked as if it was vacant. When I entered the parking lot I thought I was in the wrong place and turned around to search for another location. Saw a concert at Blossom and just needed a place to stay at a great price. It was cheap but clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

Non smoking room smelled of smoke. Room had mouse traps in it. Place was pretty bad. Water didn't get hot. Very dark room with only 2 lights towels, tv, soap and bed. Will never stay in another of their places.

The hotel appeared a bit dated. We went down for the free breakfast at 9 am and were very disappointed with all the soap box derby parents and children. Nothing left to eat and no where to sit. So we checked out and ate elsewhere. Did not see any staff to ask for assistance.

This hotel is obviously old and out of date. It needs to be remodeled to replace carpeting and bathroom fixtures. Carpeting in hallways and room was worn and stained. The toilet was difficult to flush. The shower had moldy grout between the tiles and the water temperature was difficult to regulate. The toilet tissue holder was difficult to reach. The […] sink did not have a drain stopper. The room had distinct and overpowering smell of old after shave. I was not happy with my stay. Unclean, mainly the bathroom. Tub did not drain cause of hair in drain and ice tub was dirty. Even the ice 'bag' to put the ice in was dirty. soon as I got off the elevator there were two women arguing in the hall and swearing loudly. I could hear people up all night going in and out of rooms too much to seem normal. When […] we checked out early in the morning I saw the same girls walking around in the parking lot with at least 5 other people. They were up to no good running back and forth between other people sitting the their cars and they were even looking into another guest room windows. Was right off the freeway, nice people at counter, but they dont control the property and maintain a nice/safe to stay. It was just really ghetto and would not stay there again. Did not feel comfortable having my kids there. Should of guessed before my stay with the police leaving the parking lot. Way too much$$$ for a place like that. Mehr

When we walked through the parking lot door, it was obvious that the glass doors had not been cleaned in a long time. The floor had not been swept. When we walked into our room, the smell of mothballs was overpowering. The smell saturated our nostrils and our clothes. One curtain was hanging off the rod. I had to go to the desk and ask for more towels […] and toilet paper. Two very lint-filled panels were lying on the table beneath the "closet." I don't know what they were supposed to filter, but my dress was covered with lint. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but the only items of "quality" were the breakfast and the pool. The sign out front said, "Welcome. We really are open." That should have said it all. The neighborhood is poverty-stricken - just like the hotel - and the lot filled with semis. The bed is comfortable and the noise level is pretty good. Otherwise, this hotel is not one I would recommend. It is outdated. The breakfast is minimal at best if they're not out of something. I had to ask for toilet paper and kleenex. The parking lot is in poor condition. There is mold on the shower walls. When I turned on the shower a glob of someone […] elses hair floated into the tub from the drain. The tv sound was dreadful. It is an aging and poorly maintained hotel as far as I am concerned and I would not recommend it to anyone, nor will I ever stay at one of them again. Mehr

Big potholes in parking lot. Servicing of room sometimes OK, sometimes not -- for example, did not replace Kleenex box for two days when it was empty. Priced higher than I think it should have been for what I got. For the price I paid, I feel there should have been a refrigerator and possibly even a microwave in the room. It was mostly a dump. The lobby and the breakfast room were good but the elevator was dirty as were many of the doors. The parking lot was falling apart and had many highway rigs parked on it. The double pane windows in my room were all fogged up and worst of all I could never get the internet to work more than a few minutes. wifi does not work! I woke up in the morning approx 8:30 and went down to breakfast with my family. While I was eating breakfast having tea etc the hotel staff came to clear away the food, not asking if there was anything else we would like before she took it all away. I went over to make some tea to take to my room and asked for milk and she gave me […] an attitude. Also they turned off the orange juice machine so we were not able to get juice. Then I came back to my room collected the dirty towels and went down stairs to get clean ones and was told they don't have any. We went out for the day to come back @ 10pm and still the dirty towels were on the floor in our room. I went to ask for towels and was told that she was washing them. I asked for a manager and she said there was no manager on. I took pictures of the mold on the walls in the room, the ring around the tolite, the filth on the shower stall. I went and bought clorox wipes to clean the room myself. I went to get ice and also saw the filth all along the side of the ice machine and what appeared to be brown feces on the floor. This is the worst stay I have had in my life. I don't know how they continue to run a business like this. I looked into this hotel online and since it was listed as a "clean hotel, free wifi and breakfast in the am" I booked it. I will never stay here again. It is a disgrace. Mehr

My room had four lights, two of which were not working. Internet connection was not working. Drain in shower was slow. Have stayed here many times due to location and it is definitely going downhill.

Horrible!, filthy! Sink falling off the wall in the bathroom, vent in bathroom totally clogged with grease and dust! Mold in bathtub. Carpet in hallways filthy, lobby filthy, front desk clerk was not happy to have to " move herself" to check us in. when we arrive the lighting was very poor, I was not sure that the hotel was open. The lobby appeared ok. The room carpet was dirty and the ceiling had mold. When I checked out I question the mold and was told the I was not supposed to have been placed in the room

First of all, let me say that the two front desk workers I dealt with were very nice and polite (maybe a bit unprofessional at times). That was about the only good thing about this place though. I arrived at about 11 p.m. to check in. The front desk worker informed me their computer system was down and I'd have to wait in the lobby until it worked again. […] I had to be up at 7 a.m. to take an extremely important test the next morning at University of Akron, which was why I was in town. She said she couldn't put me in a room because she didn't even know which ones were occupied. Half an hour later I get checked in. I asked for a room with Wi-Fi, she said it may or may not work. Ok. I get to the room and the heat is literally off and its about 45 degrees in there. I crank the heater and it barely works. By the time I'm in bed at 1:00 a.m. its MAYBE 55 degrees in my room. Oh, and the Wi-Fi never worked in my room. Definitely not the best experience I've had at a hotel, closer to the worst. However, the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, I'll give them that. Quality Inn Akron was convenient to all of the places that we needed. I feel it was a good choice because it cut our traveling time to different places in half. I would definitely stay there again.

Toilet wouldn't flush. Sink wouldn't drain. 1x1 hole in the wall. Awful hotel. It looked like the place was closed. The sign out front actually says "yes we are open" because it looked so runed down and dirty. The girl working the desk was friendly which was the best part of the experience.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice place to stay. It is just off the Interstate but has wonderful green space behind, making it quiet and secure. The room and service were nice. The hot breakfast was wonderful, and we most appreciated having the checkout time extended, since we were from out of town. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean room and excellent pool area. I was able to use my laptop in the room because of free WiFi and the courtesy breakfast was more than I expected. It was nice to have in room courtesy like hair drier, steam iron and ironing board, and coffee maker with provided coffe pack and tea bags. Will definitly use Quality again […] in my travels Mehr

Not a good stay. There was nothing quality about this Quality Inn. The door to the room was easily pushed open without a key. Not very safe and the rest was less than satisfactory.
