The husband and wife managers were very pleasant and helpful to us.

Friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, convenient location.

We stayed here for 2 nights for some spring skiing at Breckenridge & Keystone and the location was perfect! Friendly staff, comfy and cozy rooms, nice simple breakfast and a great hot tub! Best part about the Wayside Inn are the proprietors, Tom and Patty. Felt very welcome. Comparatively low cost accommodation. Clean, decent rooms - typical hotel quality and amenities. Family owned and run - and it feels that way. Very happy we found it - we will return here next time. Highly recommended.

The comfort of beds/linens, the hot tub, access to ski areas,morning breakfast spread and management friendliness, with value pricing make this a nice place to stay. My husband sure had a nice visit. The room was clean witha duvet and comforter. Great breakfast with plenty of choices. Soaked in the hot tub after a big day of skiing. Slightly short on hot water in the shower but still warm! W We loved our stay, very good accomodations for the price!

We spent the weekend at the Wayside Inn in Breckenridge for a ski weekend, and decided on this place because it was very cheap relative to all other places (about half the price). Being that we are both in our early 20s, we simply wanted a place to crash after full days on the mountain. The service was excellent - both owners were very helpful and friendly […] and gave us tips about the area and how to save some money. The hotel is about 5 minutes outside of downtown Breckenridge, and there is a free shuttle that you can catch hourly to get to town and back (it's about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel itself). The shuttle runs until almost 1:00am, so you can use it to go out in the evening as well. The continental breakfast was very good quality! That being said, there were a few strange issues - the bathroom was very small, and the water pressure was quite low in the shower. The room temperature was quite cool in the morning as well. The remote also turned on our cable box and changed channels, but could not adjust the TV's volume or turn it off/on which was annoying. Finally, the trim was missing on numerous door frames and the base trim missing near the carpet, and the ceiling was drop-panel, leaving the hotel feeling poor in condition. Nonetheless, for half the price of the competition, this was not a bad place to stay. If you're looking to save money and don't mind a cold morning, this is a great place. Next trip we will plan on a more expensive place if we can afford it. Mehr

We got a groupon deal which made this place a steal. Beautiful rooms and pleasant people run the place.

We stayed for two nights and wanted to stay longer. The room was cold, but bearable. On the plus side: Shower was super hot! Beds were like sleeping on clouds! The hot tub was AMAZING, it looked to the mountains and was a great place to meet fellow skiers and snowboarders. It was also really close to free parking (about two minutes away) and the breakfast […] was GREAT for a long day on the slopes. Sausage and gravy, plus English Muffins, plus hard boiled eggs, plus biscuits, plus hot coffee and tea made us more than willingly to wake up! The fireplace was superb, it warmed us all up and the puppy, Obe, BEST DOG EVER. If you want a pet friendly hotel this is the place to go. The owners are super nice and accommodating to us because our schedules were a little off. The parking at the hotel was really easy and accessible. The location couldn't be any better, we were 2 minutes (literally) to downtown Breck, 30 minutes from Copper Mountain, and 45 from Vail. Everyone we met were super friendly and happy to chat. We loved the owners and would come back anytime! Also the hot tub....rocked our world. Don't forget your bathing suit! Wayside Inn completely blew us out of the water...but not the hot tub! Mehr

We typically go cheap on hotels when we ski because we usually just ski then crash, then repeat. And the location of this hotel was pretty good; only about 10 minutes from Breckenridge. Also, the continental breakfast was above average. However, the room was not much at all. There was no individual heat control, and the room was COLD! Some of the baseboards […] were missing. The windows were not very efficient. And the bathroom was TINY. Only a shower, no tub. And no exhaust fan, which was an issue for more than one reason! If you want cheap, and you're okay with small and cold, this is the place for you. The people were great. Mehr

This hotel provides standard sized rooms, like any other hotel. What makes this hotel nice is the super comfortable beds, the hardwood decor, and the cleanliness. There is no hotel comparable for the prices.

We stayed in the Wayside Inn for one night before moving to a condo. Our room was comfortable and clean but nothing fancy. The value versus cost was great. I would stay there again for a short stay or if I only was to use the room for sleeping.

The hotel and rooms are very nice--crowded but that is to be expected in a resort town. They offer continental breakfast and a jacuzzi. All the staff I encountered were very nice, they provided us with an extra blanket when we asked and had a good supply of travel-size items in case you forget anything. The only negative I have about Wayside Inn is […] that it is a few miles from the Main Street/resort area of Breckenridge and the bus stop is about a ten minute walk--no problem in the daytime, but the streets aren't well-lit and I wouldn't feel comfortable walking from the bus stop to the hotel at night. Rustic and clean. An older hotel but well maintained, comfortable and close to the slopes. You can't beat the price!

This was a great place to stay for an overnite ski weekend. The room was neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is an older motel but is updated quite a bit. Everything worked and the room was warm. The low was 6 degrees. The breakfast was pretty good. Normal continental stuff. The hot tub outdoors which I like. There was a large gap under our door, but the massive heater in the room caused us to not notice it at all.....in fact we had to turn the temp down twice as we slept. Also, there are no hair dryers in the rooms. They reported they were stolen.There is one, but you must check it out at the front desk and return it when finished. There is not much to say about this place. You can't control your own heat in the room and they don't provide any toiletries for the room. The main building has a nice fireplace... If your looking to stay cheap or jsut need a stop over place, it works. Its cab distance or short drive Main Street Breck

Great hotel for the price! Friendly staff, clean rooms, super comfy bed and much desired hot tub, perfect after a day on the mtn. Pet friendly which is a huge plus! Decent continental breakfast and close to the free parking lot for breck. Definitely would stay there again and again!

This place is exactly as I expected from other reviews. I came for two days of skiing and this place was a great affordable option. It's nothing fancy, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

It was cheap. No access to ice as lobby was closed after 6 pm. No heat in room when temps were in the 30's outside. Brrr Roaches climbing out of the drain in the bathroom sink. Bed was very comfortable.

This is the most basic motel room. Bathroom is very tiny. Very little amenities. It was clean but some stains in carpet. One of few hotels in or near Breckenridge that allow pets. Room was quiet. No shampoo, hair drier or ironing board.

I read all the reviews for this hotel and wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and the owners were awesome. Obe was a fabulous greeter. My little dogs just loved him. It was quiet and it was relaxing to say the least. I think the only thing that I had an issue with was the warmth of the room. A fan would be nice to circulate […] air with the window open. For those who complained of noise, a fan would help to drown out any noise that is bothersome. I would definitely stay again and the price was right! People who need it quiet may want to inquire if there is any activities going on that bring people there to party. Don't stay there then. It was just fine and I don't think it had any of the problems I read about except the no air conditioning comments. Mehr

Clean, quiet, priced right! just before town- good hot tub a good slumber

People were very friendly. Hotel was a bit old but clean. Only complaint was the bathroom was crowded. When you sat on the toilet your knees touched the wall.

The Inn was very comfortable and clean but the bathroom was extremly small. That was the only downfall I would stay again

We stayed in room 202. *No ability to control the room heating (it got HOT at night due to the heat constantly coming on) - tempurate seesm to be controlled at front desk. Room temp reached 90 degrees at night forcing us to open the window and door to cool it down. (35 degrees outside) *No phone in room to contact front desk (minor inconvenience) *Only […] available outlet in main room was switched with overhead light. If you need to charge a phone/device overnight you must leave the overhead light on *Nothing in room for convenience - Only a TV and Cable box. Do not expect coffee maker/microwave/hairdryer/etc.. *Front door only locks with Deadbolt. *Shower only due to small bathroom. I would say that the place was below standard of what I am used to for the rate. If you want pure no frills stay then this is your spot. Just be sure to bring what you need including a power strip to take power from Cable box outlet if you need overnight power. Mehr

Would only recommend this Inn for the comfy beds and nice owners. The bathroom was in desperate need of repair with shower damage & water damaged ceiling tiles. Would not even use the shower. No food anywhere so had to use delivery service which was adequate. I've stayed in much nicer places for less money. Feel with the lack of a shower that this place […] was overpriced. So not a good value for the money. Mehr

A nice and cozy place

I stayed for the warrior dash in nearby copper, the water pressure in the shower could be better, but a shower hose would solve that. Overall, I'd stay again.

We found this motel as a comfortable, very clean, very quiet. The location is very convenient. The manager and his wife are wonderful. They helped us a lot when it was needed. We will recommend this motel to all our friends.
