Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Zimmer zwar etwas hellhörig, aber alles sehr sauber und ordentlich, auch das Bad. Frühstücksraum ebenfalls sehr sauber, nicht im Keller, wie man das sonst in dieser Preisklasse erleben kann.

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig zu den U-Bahn-Stationen Earls Court und Gloucester Road; direkt vor der Tür halten die Busse. Alle zentralen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind über diese Verkehrsanbindungen sehr schnell zu erreichen. Das Hotel ist supersauber. Unser Zimmer (incl. Bad) sah frisch renoviert aus. Es war nicht so klein wie sonst häufig in London üblich […] und von mir befürchtet und trotz der direkten Lage an der Cromwell Road nicht laut. Die Angestellten (insbesondere an der Rezeption) waren äußerst nett und hilfsbereit. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel buchen. Mehr

Sollte man nur 2-3 Tage in London sein,reicht das Zimmer absolut aus. Die ZImmer sind sehr klein,aber wenn man nur zum schlafen dort ist,ist es ok. Evtl.nach einem Zimmer zum Hinterhof fragen,diese sind um einiges leiser! Für junge Leute reichen das Zimmer&Frühstück aus,und falls dies nicht der Fall ist,liegt ein Cafe direkt neben dem Hotel! Die Lage […] ist super und zu den Bussen und Bahnen ist es nicht weit. Durch den,in der Nähe liegenden Hyde Park, kann man auch bis zum Anfang der Oxford street laufen. Ist sehr schön,dauert aber ;-) Als Familienhotel würde ich dieses Hotel NICHT empfehlen,obwohl zu sagen ist,in England sind fast alle Häuser nun mal sehr alt und die Zimmer dementsprechend eben sehr klein:-) Mehr

kein warmwasser, zimmer sehr spartanisch eingerichtet und abgewohnt; waschbecken so klein, dass man gar nicht weiß, wie man sich die zähne putzen soll hotel absolut nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Ganz o.k. Preis und Leistung stimmen. Zimmer sind immer sauber, wenn auch alt. Personal sehr hilfsbereit.

Das Hotel entspricht nicht der Beschreibung, vorallem die Fotos im Internet entsprechen überhaupt nicht dem was man vorfindet. Unser Zimmer war sehr klein - kein Platz für 2 koffer - der Schrank fiel fast zusammen und war defekt - zum Glück stand das Bett nebendran und konnte stützen. Im Bad fehlen sowohl ein Glas für die Zahnbürsten als auch irgend […] eine Stange oder Haken für die Handtücher!!! Das Licht ist ebenfalls spärlich. Reinigung der Zimmer ist gut - es gibt jeden Tag neue Handtücher - fast des guten Zuviel - man könnte auch diese Infos hinstellen, dass wenn man wechseln möchte - die Handtücher auf den Boden zu tun - schon der Umwelt zuliebe. Frühstück ist lieblos. Immer das selbe. Toll aber das es frische Früchte gibt und Auswahl an Kornflakes. Das gute am Hotel - es ist zentral und die zwei nächsten U-bahn Stationen sind ca 5-10min zu Fuss erreichbar. Mehr

The first room 409 was below standard, curtains hanging from hooks, not covering windows, window not closing, no light shade, no shelf for toiletries, THE MATTRESS was disgraceful i have never slept on a bed of springs before. Worst hotel ever visited. Windows could not close and there was no hot water.

the hotel is conveniant for london , but without the last minute reduction in price , It is DEFINATLEY not worth the price they charge . None of the windows are double glazed , and as the hotel is on a main thoroughfare (where traffic seldom ceases , ) you hear the constant noise . I chose this hotel because it was (relatively) cheap and within walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall (about 25 minutes) - indeed, it is only half the average price of hotels in the area. The budget price does reflect the somewhat cheap and cheerful nature of the building - I should say from the off that if you're the sort of person who likes everything […] to be "just so" then you would do well to steer clear as there are a number of issues such as tired decor (flaking paint), very small bathroom, no towel rails etc that would probably put you right off. I, on the other hand, am quite an easy-going chap and didn't encounter anything to seriously compromise my stay. The room itself was actually larger than I had expected (I was imagining a broom cupboard) although the shape of it meant that the wall came in diagonally at the far side and it was difficult to get over to the far end of the room without clambering over or squeezing past the bed each time. This was a bit inconvenient when it came to making tea as the kettle was located at the opposite side of the room to the sink in the bathroom for filling up. The room was down at basement level which meant that you could sometimes hear people moving about above, and there was also some sort of generator running all night which whilst not very loud hampered my sleep a bit. The good thing is that my room was at the back of the building so I heard no traffic at all, despite the hotel being located close to a busy road. The bathroom was clean and the shower perfectly adequate. The flat screen television had the standard Freeview channels, reception was a litte poor on some (mainly the basic terrestrial ones). I would advise going for breakfast as early as possible (it is served between 7AM and 10AM), I went in at 9 and couldn't get a table due to how busy it was. Great value for money. Our twin room was large, tidy and clean. The bathroom was recently refurbished. My only negative point about this hotel would be the proximity to Cromwell Road and the hospital. It gets very noisy at night, not good if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise the location is perfect, walking distance to Kensington High Street, Earls […] Court tube and Gouchester Road tube stops. We would stay there again. Mehr

The location was perfect and I got a nice big two queen room even though I had only booked a singe room. However, the furnishing of the room was not ideal, there were no desk or chair - and I was also missing a place to put my suitcase. There was no iron / ironing board in the room and when I asked for one in the reception I had to wait for one to become […] available. When I finally got it, it was dirty and ruined my shirt. Mehr

I traveled with my family, and everything was perfect. We had a great stay, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine, and the cleaning was perfect with fresh towels everyday. Big supermarket just around the corner and several restaurants nearby. Closest to Earls Court Tube station, and busses to central London just outside the door. […] We will comeback! Mehr

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days as we wanted to check out WInter WOnderland at Hyde Park. Brilliant location, price, surroundings had all amenities and the hotel was great for what we paid. The room was small, but for the price it didnt matter. And the shower was scalding hot, and we couldnt figure out how to make it cooler. For the price this hotel is excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. 5 min walk to tube. Breakfast was okay, enough to get you going at least and available til 10am.

Room was clean, but there was no not water and our room was located just below the breakfast room. After 7am it was impossible to sleep due to the constant noise of footsteps and running children on the wooden floors above our heads.

Was surprised hoe easy it was to travel across London feom this location. Huge sainsbury's next to hotel which offers hot meals. Service v friendly and lovely continental breakfast.

The Lexham Gardens Hotel is a definate value for money hotel great location friendly staff hotel. Breakfast is basic baked beans eggs cereal toast juice fruit but plentiful. We stayed there twice 2 adult 2 children rooms in one newly renovated room and one not. This could sway your opinion and the lift is very small to cater for 5 floors. positively surprised by the hotel - room sufficiently large for the four persons of us, bath poorly designed, but usable, breakfast OK and even better than expected. Good value for your money!

OK hotel in a bit dull surroundings, though close to public transport and museums in Kensington. Breakfast was acceptable - could have been worse, but curtainly also better. No storage room for luggage, so you had to leave your bags in the aula if you came too early for check-in (at 14 o'clock) or wanted to leave after check-out (11 o'clock)

Friendly staff, spotlessly clean and freash smelling rooom. Room quite small but adequate for short stay. Free on street parking on Sunday only. London is nightmare for parking at reasonalble cost so leave car at home if possible.

The location is excellent - it takes just 5 minutes to get to the Earls court or Glouchester road tube station, and 15 minutes to Imperial college and Hyde park. The staff was very kind and helpful and the hotel overall very neat and clean. I was staying in a single room and I would have appreciated to have a desk and a chair, but since I was outside […] most of the time I managed without. The bathroom was very small, but considering that I needed just a place to sleep and have a shower it was excellent. Breakfast was very nice as well. Mehr

Three sides of the bed were hard up against the walls of the room. Step on to the room floor and you were in the shower!. Tiny windows near roof couldn't be closed which meant pigeon serenading all night long!

25 DEC to 26 DEC When we arrived the key card wasn't working, the receptionist said to try another one, but we needed to walk up the stairs to get it ourselves. That one didnt work either and so the receptionist's best solution was that everytime we needed to get into the room we needed to walk up the stairs to ask for our own door to be opened, whether […] this is after breakfast, in the morning or after we toured around London in the evening. We got the room 008 very very very very noisy. Upstairs some constant noise on the ceiling and I think the snoring next door was heard well. The bathroom was very small, no exageration but there was not enough space for arms to be stretched in a circle. Thanks that we only booked for 1 night (Very Lucky) Please do not just look at the picture on the website, the paint along the walls were falling off. The price is very affordable for the location, literally walking distance to the museum district and Harrod's shopping. The room is clean, nice bathroom fixtures clean carpet and tile. The mattress are pretty old, not very comfortable, and very thin. The internet is only $1.00 a day. It gets slow in the evenings when everyone is in the hotel, but is […] speedy after midnight and in the mornings. The breakfast has hot eggs and beans everyday along with toast cereal, milk etc. The service is great, very friendly willing to try to help with any request from directions to internet trouble. If you can deal with a pretty uncomfortable bed, this hotel is a deal. If a good nights sleep is really dependent on a good mattress, you should plan to spend about double somewhere else. Mehr

The hotel looks pretty good on the outside but the room we got was in a terrible state. It smell awful so that you couldn't stay too long in the bathroom. Five beds were put into a single room so your bags couldn't even fit. The walls were not a good sight either and it was really dirty on the carpet when we arrived. Behind and around the beds there […] were dust and dirt. Unclean!!!! The room was for 6 persons, I must ask where the sixth person should fit in! I will not recommend this hotel ever. The staff were not very helpful and the breakfast contained of toasted bread and butter! Our family will definitely not return! Mehr

My wife and I stayed two nights bed and breakfast at a very low rate. The room was tiny and only just adequate. The window did not close firmly which meant, that whIlst locked, it was still very noisy. I thought my wife had opened it at one point it was sO noisy. We passed on breakfast because it looked so basic. Tea toast etc. hairdryer only available […] as collection from reception, nOte: collect the night before because they run out quickly. 1. Pros Everybody in the hotel was friendly and professional. The people who handles the food during breakfast were very helpful and accomodating. The receptionists also show genuine concern. They have free coffee,chocolate, tea and wi-fi 24 hours a day, they are situated in a very good neighborhood and have a grocery nearby. There is a bus stop […] for tour buses near the hotel. Checkout only involves giving the receptionist your Key and telling her your room number. 2.Cons we were given a room at the basement... but this wasn't a big problem since we didn't have problems carrying our luggage and we were out most of the time. I stayed here for 2 nights before going to Wales.The staff are very nice and friendly. I stayed in a single room (2 single beds) on the top floor. The room was very clean, beds comfey. It was a few blocks (5 min walk) away from the tube and a Sainsbury grocery store was just down the street. I would stay here again in the future.
