AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN - Houston

Booked it due to it being close to the Medical Center. The sheets were clean thank goodness but the rest of the room had not been cleaned. It served my purpose due to location and price.

I got the room with a king size bed for my wife and I which made the room 4 feet shorter. This was done to allow for the stairway to the next floor, a design flaw I concluded. The room service people came every day but the smell of urine that emanated would not subside even with me spraying some glade air freshener regularly. First time i have ever been charged for a room at check-in.I was told this there norm? Then my stay was shortened and checked out early than was reserved. Had the hassle of dealing with the desk to give me credit to my card. Was given the run around ,but finally recieved credit applyed to my card.

They ended up charging me more there than what I had reserve for. Not satisfied with it at all and the surrounding was terrible. Never again.

it is a nice hotel to stay but if you don't have a car like me it is a far place from downtown. it takes long time to go to downtown by bus. Breakfast !!! I think they have to add some other type of food to the breakfast. Because continental breakfast contains only coffee, cornflakes, apple and muffin.

Good motel, comfortable bed, good prices in comparison to the rest of the immediate area. Lots of restaurants nearby within a mile.

The service was great - very professional at check in. The room was fairly nice, with granite counter tops and wifi. I stayed there as a single woman and felt safe. My only real complaints were the corners of the room that needed vacuuming, the loud airconditioner, and the people talking loudly outside my window.

The stay would have been more pleasant if it weren't for the party-goers above us. We did complain and they promptly came and asked them to quiet down, about 3 hours later it started again and we could not sleep because of the loud noise. The other issue we had was the sink in the dressing area leaked, so when you washed your hands or brushed your […] teeth, your feet got wet. We could have complained, but it wasn't a big deal since it was only 2 nights. Another issue is parking. There is just not enough so you got lucky if you got a spot coming in late. Eclectic neighborhood. A place where single women can feel safe. Clean room. Not fancy - bring hair dryer and clothes hangers. I will stay there again.

Nice room for the price, baseboard and corners could use a bit of cleaning. Neighborhood a little sketchy, but close to downtown !!

The room was nice. There was no closet space or drawers to uppack your clothes in. I believe there was something in the A/C that made me and my family sick. The longer we stayed in the room the worse I felt.

The fact that their rates are very affordable'n comparative, does not defer their maintaining cleanliness;ie,dirty towels,small spiders around TV controls, dirty gunky sink faucet. Location remains its sole advantage.

Hotel was in a great location close to downtown, but in a sketchy neighborhood. Rooms are small but space is used is well. TV/Microwave/Fridge were all clean and worked great so really it was a good value.

The hotel staff was helpful but the cleanliness of my room was terrible. The sheets had hairs all over.

The hotel was conveniently located near Rice University where we attended our daughter's graduation.

Never again!

Right off the highway, yet could not hear traffic at all. The room was large and comfortable. Very clean, nice staff. The room had a mini-fridge, and a microwave. I loved the room! I would definitely stay here again.

For a hotel with such a low price it was very good. Everything is new and the rooms are confortable. The location is very good, close to the museum district and medical centers, and in a good neighborhood

Bathroom sink had no hot water. Notified desk, but nothing was done because it was a Sunday. Room was recently remolded and new matress made it more pleasant. We stayed because location was close to where we needed to be and the price was right.

Check-in was fast. Front desk personnel nice. Room clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the driveway, it is too steep of an incline. Have to take it slow or you scrape the bottom of your car.
