Es war einfach nur schmuddelig und staubig überall. Das Zimmer ging so.... aber der Rest! Nicht empfehlenswert.

very friendly, the hotel isn´t the newest one but clean. Breakfast was OK. the staff was very helpfull and very nice. The only point in minus is that when you want to go and have sth to eat at night it´s a little bit isolated.

Bio-dome,underground mall..was very nervios in the neighbor hood and store were scary at night. I would not go to them at night.

If you accept a youth hostel as good, this place would be a last place choice. For the cost they charge is outright rip-off. Shared bathroom, The wi-fi did not work and there was no person who could help. The location is deceiving. Although the street, St. Caherine is a major thoroughfare of Montreal, the hotel is at the industrial "run-down" part of […] the city. It is an old bank building which was converted to a mass human storage facility. We had to pay additional surcharge just to get a shower cabin in the room. The toilet was still across the hall. The hostess were nice and helpful, but could not compensate for our disappointment. Perhaps as a student dorm the accommodation is acceptable, but for this price (Twice the cost of a chain motel in Niagara Falls) makes this hotel a huge sour point in our vacation. Mehr

Simple, clean, good

Stayed in the superior 2 bedroom suite, great deal for the price and we were made to feel like family with staff, who very helpful. And no problem with my family and I not speaking any french.

Spa and swimming is under construction during these days. The carpet in room might be not very clean and my wife was stung by a flea. Fire alarm in my room was ringing while I was taking a shower. Overall, this hotel is under my expectation.

Good location as reasonably close to the city. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Our room was serviced poorly on our second day. The room we had, although quaint, was not as nice as the advertised room. Breakfast was reasonable. Love the old building!

This Auberge was exactly what I was looking for and hoped it would be. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The Auberge and it's rooms are basic but absolutely right for my style of travel - clean, functional, off the beaten track but well located, easy to get to, internet access,safe and very reasonably priced. very friendly owners and pleasant service

This European-style hotel is a great place to stay if you're looking for a clean and comfortable but not too fancy hotel. I had one of the smaller rooms with a full-sized bed and it was plenty big enough for one person, although it might have seemed a little crowded if I had been sharing it with someone else. I was impressed with the cleanliness of […] the room when I checked in and the cleaning staff kept it looking great throughout my six-night stay. The hotel features shared toilet and shower facilities and both were clean at all times. The only downside was that it was posted to not use the shower facilities between midnight and 7:00am and, since I was attending a conference, I needed to be on a bus by 7:00am and showering at night was inconvenient. Breakfast was included with the cost of the room, although it was very heavy on starches (toast, muffins, croissants, cold cereal, bagels, etc.) so I supplemented with fruit, yogurt, and cheese I bought on my own. The breakfast room was in the nicely-decorated basement and had plenty of space for everyone to eat comfortably. The staff were all friendly and helpful, from the time I checked in until the time I left. Parking was always available on site and I was able to leave my car in their lot every day for as long as I needed. Even though the neighborhood was somewhat removed from most things, I never felt uncomfortable about leaving my car unattended in their lot. The city bus goes right by the front door of the hotel several times an hour during the week and twice per hour on weekends. The hotel rooms have very thin walls so, if you're sensitive to noise, you should bring earplugs. Overall, however, I had an enjoyable stay and would definitely return to this hotel if I find myself in Montreal again! Mehr

My brother and I stayed at the Auberge from 10/14-10/16. Overall, there are no major complaints. The price was affordable, The rooms were comfortable, parking was never a problem, the continental breakfast helped us save a few bucks. The neighborhood is close to an industrial part of town, but that was not an issue. The subway is about 4-5 blocks north […] and a nice walk. We drove everywhere, however, due to the rain. The staff was responsive to our needs though we didn't have many. The only slight annoyance was that our room was not ready when we got there at 2:30, and we waited almost an hour to get in. I would recommend this place, though if you are younger and expecting to make noise, I would not- Staff made it very clear that we should not (maybe because we are in our late 20's). Other than that the staff was friendly, and provided us with maps and suggestions of where to go in Montreal. Mehr

1, There is no information on the web saying the hotel only has shared bathroom with other room's guests. 2, No service after 11:00 PM 3, The parking lot is too small and not safe at all. 4, Neighborhood noises (sawing the metal --- repair roof or some kind remodeling) kept going on till 9:00 PM (since we got in --- about 3:30PM).

If you want a taste of culture and the most helpful friendliest staff stay here. If you are looking for an American type Holiday Inn don't It is an older former Post office that has a charm. Very close to the subway line which is a great way to see Montreal. The person at the Front Desk drew me maps how to get places. I would really recommend this Hotel. The […] neighboorhood is a little run down but safe, and parking a little bit of a challenge but works. I could see the Olympic Stadium from my room about 1 mile away. Mehr

The hotel was not that bad, just only one of the windows was having broken handle in the room,and it was open little for pests. The fan was so high couldn't turn it on, then the staff personnel used ladder to turn it on, as the room was little warm. There was only standing shower, we needed a bath tub. Rest the service was good and the price was not […] bad as compared to other hotels. The location is also near to Old Montreal Downtown, which has so many attractions. Mehr

It's not too far from downtown Montreal but the surrounding area is a little shady and the hotel itself is pretty run down. The up side was that the couple who runs the establishment were very helpful and is the only thing that made the stay bearable.

It is reasonable price. Location, services and comfort are very nice. However, there are less than 10 parking spaces.

This was our first time in Montreal and I have to say that it was a great experience. The first impression of the street was that the place was not safe, we even thought of searching for another hotel, but when we entered the the hotel it was comfy and it inspired us to stay. The service in the hotel was very nice and the place felt very homie. The […] employees attended carefully to your needs and were very polite. The only slight down side was the breakfast that in my opinion had too much bread and wheat based products. Maybe fruits, meat or eggs wOuld be nice. Friendly owner/staff. Quiet location. Will stay again.

We totally enjoyed our stay. All the managers are very friendly and helpful. The lounge and breakfast room are delightful. A two minute walk took us to a bus and then to the Metro and we were in the center of town in about 15 minutes - very handy. the neighborhood is quiet and residential and safe. We felt comfortable coming back late at night. The […] rooms are small but not cramped. We thought the hotel charming and would definately stay there again and recommend it to friends. Mehr

Truthfully, it functions more like a family run B&B than a hotel. On that note, the way that it is informally organized and there are places like the couches to work on like you would at home is a plus. It also means that the expectation of efficiency and perfectly working hair-dryers and bath-faucets needs to be toned down. The Staff were great and very friendly. It came with free parking, free wifi and free breakfast which were all useful. Our room was not en-suite which was a bit dissapointing. However, we did have a private bathroom just shared with 1 other room. However, the shower was broken and the door did not lock properly. The location is average, not great […] if you don't have a car. If the bathroom had worked then It would have got 5/5. So En-Suite rooms would be good. Altogether it's a really nice place and I would go there again. Mehr

One step up from a hostel. We had our own room and shower and bathroom across the hallway. Pleasant staff. Breakfast very basic, and not a neihbourhood to go and walk and find a nice restaurant. You need to go down town for that. for us the stay was great. We were going to the theatre and needed a place to say. We could park the car and get to china […] town in 15 minutes. Room was clean. The lady was very nice and helpful. We do not categorize this under a hotel or motel it is a Breakfast and Board house. I was told that it is a continental breakfast… but it was only cereal, muffin, bagels etc. not even eggs. It is not worth for the money at all.

This hotel is nicely situated in between the major areas of Montreal. The area itself is not great, but not bad either. A big plus is the free parking, however it is only for about 7 cars. We had to park in front of the steps! As long as you park on the hotel property you are safe, as there is a daycare across the street so there is no street parking […] 7:30-8:30AM. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. When we entered our room, we noticed it was small, but definitely served its purpose. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so we asked for another one. The air conditioning was working the first night, but the second night it went out. Thankfully it was winter so cracking open the window cured that issue. On leaving, we noticed a book an an unopened condom package on the floor. Don't know if that's standard, but it was interesting. Overall, the place is worth the price. If you're looking for an affordable place to crash that is center to all of the attractions, this is the place for you! Mehr

We stayed two nights with our three boys, and appreciated the extra room, reasonable rates and complimentary breakfast. Our hosts were very welcoming, charming and helpful. They shared stories of the hotel's history along with helpful tidbits that made our sightseeing more enjoyable. If you desire a standard, "cookie cutter" motel experience, this is […] probably not the hotel for you. However, we enjoyed the charm and personality. Mehr

I have nothing but great things to say about my stay. The staff were very excellent to deal with and very welcoming. This is not a 5 star hotel, but you for sure get more than you pay for.

I highly recommend this place. It's on a main street in a quiet area near the river and ~2 miles East of Downtown. Bus stop is right out front and drops you at subway in about 5 minutes. Room was very large, with double bed, 2 easy chairs, small fridge, desk, color cable tv, clock radio, dresser and sink. Shared bathrooms were right outside the door, […] clean, and always available. No different than being at home. Private bathrooms are also available. Nice free breakfast. Mehr

Very nice Hospitality, Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Slow Internet. Good deal for money I paid. Do not expect the five star though.
