This is a fantastic hotel. It's very stylish, and the room was very comfortable. The staff was friendly without being overly pushy (like the bartender who chatted but did not intrude). Located smack in the middle of this charming college town with excellent bars, restaurants, and a movie theater (not to mention many great shops!) within walking distance, […] this is an ideal place to stay. This is the second time I've stayed at six South Street and I already have a reservation to return. That being said, I was disappointed with my most recent experience. There were other guests in the surround rooms throwing a party till about 3am. I am most impressed with the eco-friendly heating system. For a place as cold as Hanover, I was quite happy with the temperature control of my room. I didn't try any of the food because there are many other dining options in town. The only thing I would have liked to improve was the lighting. While I understand that the hotel is trying to be eco-friendly, […] it wasn't very well-lit because my room (king deluxe) didn't have ceiling lighting (just bedside lighting, one floor lamp, and one small desk lamp). Excellent, modern hotel , close to Dartmouth and located in the center of town. Rooms are beautiful and the staff are helpful. Reasonable rates for that location. Walk to restaurants , shops and Dartmouth. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this relatively new hotel. We particularly liked the location, which is just a block or two off the Dartmouth campus and right in the middle of a bunch of shops, bakeries, restaurants, etc. We were easy walking distance to campus, and yet felt a bit removed, which worked well for us.
