it was a big time disappointment. the room was not up to the standards of Fairmont Hotels around the world. Elevators were not clear nor working well. I was stuck in the elevator number 12 for about 15 min. Thank God there was one of the staff with us, he called for help we were told to wait and nothing more. No confirmation that some one is on his […] way or any thing else. when we called for help the second time, the man shouted at us to wait. we had to go through the staff elevators and to make it out of the hotel. In general hotel food were over prices way too much. It was not clear and so dusty. It was big disappointment. Mehr

It was a pleasure to do a holy trip by staying in this great hotel. A few comments if addressed can improve the hotel further. Entrance to the hotel with luggage is complicated. Drain smell in the area affect the hotel. Room was with drain smell. Partly hotel was still closed that my have affected the service. I am not put off but would like to stay […] again by taking my family. If hotel send me an offer voucher that would be great. Shahid Mehr

Fantastic Hotel all round brilliant, clean, poor staff with services; specially the from office staff, no help to finish your check in fast, in case you have a problem with your car or luggage, the guest have to solve his problems alone, also as per reception, we have booked Haram View, but we didn't see anything. The service and the hotel location are excellent. The time spent to wait for the elevator is not comfortable. Need more elevators

Good hotel with excellent service. Very friendly hotel staff. Enjoyed the stay.

The hotel was amazingly comfortable ,  Beds, room design, bathroom full marble, tv channels available, location, and view (got a full view of the kabba from the room)  Little comment is on the maintenance, for example the bath fixtures (though everything looked nice, it tended to fall-off with the slightest touch) same goes with the other little things […] in the room  Another comment is on the hot water, takes a while to heat up, (first night i thought the hot water is out of order!) Third comment is on the lifts, to go down u have to change lifts, so its inconvenient, specially that it can get packed at prayer times.   Also the lifts system is full of glitches ( it skipped our floor a few times, goes up when it should go down etc (to summarize, the elevator software is full of bugs) The best thing in the hotel is the breakfast, it's the most amazing breakfasts (its a real 5 stars royal breakfast)  The hotel was an Overall a very pleasent experience  Specially that it's just next door to the kabba, it's a 5 star religios experience... Last tip, don't skip the breakfast :) Mehr

I would recommend this hotel, it is very close to Haram and has a wounderfull view to Kaaba. The washroom doors need to be fixed (not closing properly). Otherwise the hotel is excellent if you will pay its expensive bills!! Thanks, Ahmad

Excellent rooms and food

The hotel is very close to Al Haram. The hotel is very good. It would be rated with full mark except there were minor construction issue which will disappear shortly. Yet there is no car park associated to the hotel, you have to park your car some where else.

Do not dismiss the Fairmont because its expensive. We took the special offer during summer and were extremely satisfied with everything. Their breakfast variety and quality is great. The comfort is excellent. There's a lack of international restaurants in the area and probably in all of Makkah, and in house restaurants are on the expensive side. There […] is also some construction still being done on the towers, but the rooms are peaceful. The biggest problem is that the signs to the Fairmont are almost non existing and you have to ask to reach the hotel the first time. But that is just a small issue and probably true for all hotels in the neighborhood. We wish we could stay they more nights. Highly recommended. Mehr

I had booked the hotel thru the website on my wife's recommendation and found all the reservatioins were in order on the day I arrived. The front desk staff was extremely courteous and checked me in very efficiently. The room was exceptionally clean , with particular attention being paid to the bathroom areas. No problems with hot or cold water supply. The […] Hotel staff was exceptionally courteous and helped out at every opportunity that was given to them . I was impressed with the politeness and warmth that was extended by the hotel staff members during my stay . It made me feel welcome in the true spirit as a guest of the city of Mecca .The morning breakfast included in the deal being offered was a splendid spread with multinational cuisine choices . Highly recommended to any one who is looking for a hassle free stay during their visit . Mehr

Fantastic Hotel all round brilliant, clean, friendly staff, great restaurant and breakfast. And totally amazing via of Al Haram and location is key for Makkah.

The hotel is just perfect. The Mecca view is just amazing. The comfort and the luxury the hotel offers will make me book it again inshaallah next time we'll go to Omrah.
