Schönes modernes Hotel in der nicht touristischen Lage, was man an den Preisen merkt. Alles ist etwas billiger! Schöne grosse Familienzimmer. Poolfliesen zu glatt - Rutschgefahr. Leider kein Frühstück mit dabei, kostet pro Person 250 Baht. Internet for free! Würde wieder hin gehen.

Wir hatten keine Beanstandungen ! Die S-Bahn (nett ich mal so)kann man entweder mit der Fähre(8cent !) oder durch den kostenfreien Bus vom Hotel, gut erreichen und mit dieser günstig, je nach Strecke 1-2 €, durch ganz Bangkok fahren.Geht schneller als mit dem Taxi.Frühstück haben wir an der Hauptstraße vor dem Hotel gegessen,dort gibt es Bäcker und […] alles was man so brauch.Interessant ist es auch mal hinter die Kulissen zu gucken,wir sind spontan in eine Gasse eingekehrt wo nur das einheimische Volk lebt und dort Taschen und Schmuck von Hand fertig !!! Das Hotel hat eine gigantische Lage, direkt am Ufer des Chao Phraya, unverbauter Blick schräg gegenüber des berühmten Hotels Oriental, das auch keine bessere Aussicht hat! Man kann abends auf der Terasse oder auf den Lounge-Möbeln im Garten sitzen und den Anglern zusehen wie sie aus den zugegenermaßen recht trüben Fluten tatsächlich ziemlich große Fische […] herausholen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und relativ einfach möbliert, das Bad ist klein aber neu. Ein schöner großer Pool direkt am Fluss! Die Skyway ist ganz leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen, den Fluss kann man mit der Fähre direkt unter der Brücke überqueren für 10 cent und die Fahrt ist superschön! Wlan überall und umsonst! Großes Frühstücksbuffet zu einem sehr annehmbaren Preis! Das Hotel bietet ein sehr sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und ist eine sehr empfehlenswerte Alternative zu den vielen Travellerunterkünften, die kaum billiger sind aber meist sehr schmuddelig. Für ein thailändisches Hotel ist das IBIS Riverside hervorragend BTS Station mit Shuttle Bus oder 10 min zu Fuss Sehr sauber, Frühstück gut, Abendbuffet empfehlenswert Direkt am Chao Praya, ruhig aber trotzdem mitten in Bangkok Ibis Zimmer sind etwas kleiner. We are on an extended trip through Asia and thought it might be a nice change to book into a large/chain hotel for a change. We have mostly been staying in guesthouses. But, in the end, I was disappointed. The family rooms weren't what I thought with their mini-bunk beds. Furthermore, there was a play station with NO games. What's the point of even having it in the room? There were two TVs, but not sure why as they were both practically right next to each other and couldn't be used at the same time (we didn't want to watch TV anyway, but still). The bathroom was very small. The laundry was very expensive and took 1.5 days. The restaurant had only one vegetarian dish (pasta with tomato sauce). Nowhere to eat near the hotel. Overall stay real bad and could have been worse. I booked room for 4 days. Non-riverside view room for 1 day and riverside view for 3 days. None of them were properly available for me when I went there. Now let me elaborate problems I faced. For Day 1- they did not have the room which i booked and so they shifted me to pool side view room. The room […] was quite small, smelly, bathroom notch was broken, no fresh towels, rooms ambiance was very dull and list goes no but I adjusted for 1 day (feb 3, 2013) as I was there for hardly 6 hours. now I came back to hotel on 10th morning at 7 am. when I asked them for early check in they did not have any room available. Me and my wife had to spend 7 hours outside after coming from phuket (completely exhausted. When I went back to the hotel at 2 O'clock, I was informed that they do not have the room which I booked and they would want me to shift to other room. after waiting for 45 mins more and getting angry they allotted me a very small room with river view. Now let me tell you about this room. In addition the the things mentioned in day 1 above, The room did not have double bed instead I was given twin beds which was not a part of by hotel reservation. The water pressure in shower was very low. no proper river view. Overall it was a pathetic experience and I could have got more for the money I paid. Mehr

We had a very relaxing stay at Ibis riverside. The pool, a huge poolside seating overseeing the river and boats passing by, it is an amazing place to stay at a reasonable price. The only problem was the bed in hotel was a bit uncomfortable for my wife (while i found it ok) and the hotel is not near the metro station. The location on the river is really nice. We had wonderful stay in this hotel. It is right in front of the chaophraya river. You can enjoy the view from your room or over a cup of coffee next to the pool. We have got very good service. The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel caters to businessmen and we felt a bit out of place as tourists. Free Shuttle to nearest BTS station is nice touch, and BTS easy to get around on, Nice to be near the River, although Taxis drivers found it a hard place to find , Breakfast a bit of a disappointment (No Bacon with my Eggs!!) , Nice pool, 7/11 just down the lane (soi), Helpful and pleasant staff. We booked 2 non smoking rooms, one with a river view. The rooms smelt of smoke and we had no view. To be fair, the staff found different rooms for us pretty quickly, but you dont want to arrive at hotels and then have to be assertive to get what you thought you had booked and paid for 3 months in advance. There are no places to eat nearby, apart from stalls selling nice pad thai. The meals at the hotel were good but it was a hassle to order if you didnt want the buffet. My expectations were SO exceeded in this hotel. I have 3 kids: aged 7, 5 & 1 and you just can't get a hotel room with 2 or 3 kids these days. Our room had a bunk bed and cot and was just perfect. Great staff, great food, great value, great pool, love 12:00 check-outs.

We spent 3 days here and found the experience really good. The rooms and hotel common areas are well maintained, staff friendly and helpful and the overall vibe one of generosity of spirit. Really if you just walk down the street you can go down a little side street and hop on the shuttle that takes you across the river for like 30 cents.Or you can just walk across the bridge. Pretty close to Skytrain, there's a free shuttle every 30 min or you can walk a few blocks and take a ferry across the river for 3.5 baht. River ferries are an excellent way to get to the major temples.

Me and my wife spent a night here during our trip to Thailand. We were getting in late at night and so I did not want to pay for a better hotel for that night, so chose to stay here for one night before moving to the other hotel. What we liked about the place? It is an Ibis, so you know what to expect in terms of the room and service. It is actually […] one of the better Ibis properties and has a nice pool and good location by the river. What was not that great? We were told at the airport that we could take the airport express and connect to the sky train up to Saphan Taksin and then take a ferry to Ibis. The problem is there is no ferry to Ibis. So, you are better off taking a cab all the way to the Ibis. We had to pay a tuk-tuk 150THB just to cross a bridge to get us to the other side of the river. So, if you were hoping that the hotel is on the river and would be a great place to stay, think about it again. You cannot really use the river ferries as easily as you can from the hotels on the other side of the river which have their own boats to connect to the main pier. Also, the Ibis windows hardly allow you any view of the riverside. Besides, it has some massive structures on both sides, which obstruct the view. My personal opinion is that if you want to stay in the river, pay the extra amount and stay in some of the other hotels (like the Chatrium) which are very easy to get to and out of and afford better views. Otherwise, choose a hotel in the Silom Sathorn area which are closer to the shopping district and have easy connectivity to the sky train as you get much better prices and value for money there and you can always take the sky train and come down to have dinner at one of the hotels on the river. When we wanted to pay half hour of internet in lobby first we got new keys of the room, then password for WiFi and at least what we wanted... Similar for other things. Location was good for our needs: calm part of the city for sleeping, close to the sky train, close to […] the river transport, if you ask at the desk to order taxi for you with taximeter to Sournambouri airport cost about 430 Thb (with tools and small cheating from drivers side) and to Don Muang about 300 thb - all inclusive......for exploring great.
