Pleasant Hill Inn - Pleasant Hill

We were not comfortable nor did we feel there was effort toward customer satisfaction. The desk manager was polite but inflexible and the lobby did not smell clean although our room seemed to be clean. There is a sign on the lobby counter warning that aggressive behavior and violence is not permitted which im my considerable travels I have never seen […] yet the desk manager insisted was displayed as being required by law. This made us wonder whether the hotel was safe. Mehr

Pleasant Hill Inn, Pleasant Hill, CA. Rooms are very, very small. Bathroom the same. Cooking smells were present the day we checked in. However we found the room adequate and the price reasonable. Everyone was pleasant.

Had requested a room away from traffic which did not happen (we were on Contra Costa Blvd. instead of at back of hotel.) Being an older hotel could hear people coming and going but it was not overly noisy into the wee small hours. Price was right for the night.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was professional and the room was cozy albeit small but we are only staying for the night, so how much room do you need for that? If we are in the area again we would stay here again.

Although there is a bit of construction taking place, this boutique-type hotel was quiet and comfortable. The front desk could not have been more pleasant or helpful, and the property was situated perfectly among shopping, restaurants and freeway access. The room was small but comfortable, breakfast was a nice surprise, and the wireless internet actually […] worked! Small room for the money. The bathroom was the best part of staying there--spacious, clean, good working shower, nice towels. The room was so small, two people sharing it for any length of time would not be comfortable.

Overall the place was nice, but the room was big enough for the bed and dresser/desk. If was hard to maneuver around with just too people. Good for a quick overnight but definitely not a weekend or long term stay.

For the price, it was fine. Upside: price. Downside: small things: main door to the room had a 1/4 inch gap where you could see the hallway light. Let a lot of sound and cold air into the room. Breakfast was bread stuff. Good hard boiled eggs though.

I stay all over the area and I love the parking being so close to the building.

The hotel was nice but the breakfast was not as good as other hotels that I've stayed at.

Had to change rooms when I first arrived because it wasn't clean.....I mean imagine going into your room and finding someone left a hefty package in the toilet for you....yea I know gross. Other items in the room had not even been touched. Unfortunately it was too late to cancel or attempt to look for another hotel. The girl at the front desk seemed […] like we were bothering her important personal phone conversations when coming to the front desk at arrival but she did move us to a room that was actually cleaned in the end. Bad Parked me right next to the elevator and vending machines. Would not move me. Had a did not care tone. Great location. Sad service

Room was great, spacious and comfy. However, there was a slight moldy smell in the bathroom. Think that it had to do with the fact that our room was the outside room on one end. But, I would certainly stay there again.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was small, but worked, as we weren't in the room except to sleep at night. The bathroom was clean, but there was mold at the bottom of the shower curtain, which could be taken care of with a little bleach and water and the sink had s small hole in it. The bed that was said to be a queen size is actually […] more like a full and was rather soft and a bit lumpy. Other than that the room was great. The area they have set up for the continental breakfast was the size of a bathroom with a counter and a couple of small tables and chairs. My overall satisfaction of the hotel was great because of the location. It was close to lots of shopping and eateries. Also, it was only about 45 minutes from San Francisco. Mehr

No odors, no stains, no mold. A well maintained hotel. The only knock on the facility was that the room is very small. […] 2 people would have a hard time getting around here. Bathroom was also on the small size. But for a single guest, I had no problem. The king size bed was really too big for the room. A queen size would have given the guest a little more room to move around. And maybe the desk chair wouldn't bump the end of the bed every time I get up. Wonderful staff! Made us feel like they really were glad that we chose their facility. The desk clerk even came to the room to help us with understanding how the TV works. Our room was clean and in good repair, although it was rather dark, and we like more natural light. Because they put us in the handicapped room, there was very little sink space, […] and we had to use the handicapped seat to place our shaving bags so they were accessible. A safe and accessible neighborhood, and an excellent deal. We would stay there again if we were in the area. Mehr

I stayed here just overnight for a meeting I had in Pleasant Hill. The staff were very friendly, the room comfortable and quiet, breakfast had a large offering. I'd stay again.

I stayed here because I had business in nearby Concord. Location is very convenient to freeways and Concord. The rate was reasonable. The room is rather small but it has the basics - TV (not flatpanel) microwave and fridge. The best feature is the wired internet, which is free along with the wifi. The wifi signal can be spotty, so the wired option is […] great for getting your work done. Mehr

Nice clean room, not very big, but OK. Bed was a little hard, but that may just be our taste. Breakfast was slim, but good enough. Friendly service and great location. I'd stay there again for the price.

Experience was a positive one. I would recommend others needing to spend time in PLeasant Hill and Walnut Creek areas. Only drawback was breakfast. it could be better.

It is right on the main drag in Pleasant Hill. If you are going to look at JFK University, it is a great location! People behind the desk were very nice. Very nice experience!

Thios place is a diamond in the rough. Clean, affordable and the beakfast included in the price doesn' t hurt either.I would recommend this in a secound.

I always choose hotels through hotels.com and I am satisfied with the level of service that I am offered everytime, not this time, this was supposed to be special for my son, we choose hotels with indoor pool because we cannot afford one at home. This feature was not available and there was nobody able to fix it or have it available to the public.

The most important thing I can say about this hotel was the rooms are adequate but small--you get what you pay for; however, the service was excellent (bar none). The young lady in charge when I checked in (Jessica) was one of the nicest hotel employees I have met, even at 5-star hotels. She went out of her way to explain the complicated tv remote […] control and even went to my room to make certain the cable was "synched" with the remote when I still had questions. FYI, it takes about 2 minutes for the synch to happen the first time you use it. There had been some floor upgrades of the main areas (e.g.: marble-looking floors in the elevator and ice area); however, there was peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. I was not quite certain what the dark stain around the white grout at the top of a small section of the tub was (perhaps mold that could not be removed?). I kept looking for an AC/heating control on the wall, at first. The unit was ancient, the kind that resides under the window. At least it kept me warm; however, the curtain blew out every time the air came on. The complimentary continental breakfast the next morning (fruit, juice, coffee, and waffle maker) was in an extremely small room across from the front desk; however, there was only one other table of guests at the time I was there, so it was "doable." Jessica was there again with a smile (does she ever sleep?). Whenever I asked for any food item that had been depleted (I arrived an hour into the food service), she immediately retrieved it for me. I ran out of kleenex that morning and asked some of the cleaning crew (two ladies in the lobby) if they had an extra box of kleenex. One of the ladies said she would have to get a box from the second floor and deliver it to me. By the time it took for me to take the elevator back to my room, she was knocking at my door with the kleenex box. I cannot say enough good things about the service. I only stayed overnight for my homecoming, I used to live here long time ago and know this area well enough. Room was not that spacious but it has what I needed -- fridge, microwave, Internet access, bug-free bed, and clean bathroom. The area has supermarket, shops, restaurants nearby.
