Dies war die schönste Übernachtung in Florida: Romantisch, ein Hausboot für sich alleine mit allen Annehmlichkeiten (TV, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle), nette Einrichtung, sauber, ruhig, sicher. Morgens u. abends kann man in den komfortablen Sesseln auf dem Aussendeck das Meer entspannt geniessen.

Eine wunderschöne Anlage mitten auf den Keys (Marathon). Es gibt Boote, sowie kleine Häuschen zum mieten. Wir hatten ein kleines Boot zum Übernachten. Innen sehr eng und schmuddelig. A vacation at the Floating Sea Cove Resort & Marina is something else. Great location and wonderful people around! Me and a buddy had a trip around the keys. We planned to stay two days at this hotel, but extended for another two days. If you like something extraordinary, but not fancy or high brow, this is the place. We stayed on the house boats, […] and it was a wonderful experience. Sitting on our boat, watching the sun set over the bay - thats how I want my vacations. Jamie the office clerk is very friendly and helpful and can recommend places for snorkeling and other activity. Another plus is the location on Marathon, you are right in the Middle of the Keys, the perfect spot for exploring the area. If you like some company, join the dock people for watching the sunset. Bring along a beer (or not) and you'll be welcomed by a great bunch of people, living the adventerous life on the docks. If you want the super clean super sterile franchise feeling of the big hotel chains, this may not be the spot for you. If you want to experience something else - while stil having comfort and cleanliness, go for the house boad and live the life of a dock hobo :-) Mehr

This was a nice overnight. It was a nice little mom-and-pop kind of place. It brought back some old memories. A few well needed upgrades are necessary but overall a good deal.

I chose to stay in one of the floating rooms after reading the reviews.My boat was clean, free of bugs, no mold (I looked because some other reviews and mentioned that) and quite homey. Yes it is small, but I was by myself and only planned on using it to sleep there so I didn't need a lot of room. The bed was a double and the bathroom I thought smelled […] very clean. It is a small bathroom (the sink is actually out in the room) and the shower is about the size of a cruise ship shower. I am only about 5'5 and the shower head came below my head, but the water was hot and the shower and towels were clean. There was a t.v., mini fridge and a microwave in the room as well. I have included some pictures below of my room. The room a/c worked well - I didn't really find it too noisy, I have had those in the past, so it didn't bother me. It kept the room cool and free of humidity. The boat didn't really rock but it did creak as it rubbed against the dock from time-to-time. The man checking me in was really friendly. The office is in a little hut right on the left when you drive in, they have a little cup outside for you to drop your room keys in if you check-out before they open. This place might not be for everyone, but for the price you really can't beat it and for the type of room. Where else will you have a chance to stay in a floating room? It's not the newest place, it's not the fanciest place - but it has more personality than any place I think I have ever stayed before. Mehr

Unique in that you are on a houseboat, albeit a vintage 60s barebones boat that is lucky to still be floating. Place was clean. Extremely tight quarters. Stayed one night and that was enough though I'll always remember sleeping there. Don't think I'd ever repeat the experience...unless it was dirt cheap.

We stayed in the hotel rooms by the road..airconditioner was on so we heard no traffic during the weekend..Monday was a different story . The bungalows looked nicer and off the road. Owner was very pleasant. It was very convenient and inexpensive for the Keys.

I drove down to the keys to see my significant other and I didn't want to drive all the way back to Miami. The Motel did receive good reviews and it is right down the street from where I needed to be. Location cannot be beat, there is ample parking and the location is clearly recognizable. Unfortunately, the rooms were lackluster, no covers on the lights, […] the electrical outlets had been painted over so many time and the outlets were loose. The beds were OLD, LUMPY and you could feel the innersprings (very uncomfortable). When I laid on one of the beds, I immediately went to the center of the bed (bed moved my body) and then when laying in the bed with my other half... I rolled into them. The other bed was a "step up". The staff member (only one there) was extremely helpful, did not require any credit card information for the incidentials (he stated there was nothing incidential for the property). The high voltage electrical wires spanning the island were noticably loud (You could hear the electrical sparks from the lines touching the poles), thank god for the air conditioner being on, I couldn't sleep without it to drown out the electrical pole noise. Wow! I must say you get the BASICS! I was really feel the rooms on land SHOULD be reduced in price. There is no way you should be able to charge those prices($113/night). Caretaker was very nice. He did the best he could with what he had to his disposal.

I was a little upset with the room. The Bed sheets were stained. The a/c was louder than train coming straight thru the door. The mattress was like sleeping on a board. Worst of all no toilet paper. there was actually a dirty sanitary napkin in the trash:( ugh

I loved the little houseboat room. We stayed just one night and it was perfect. It might be a little small for a family for a week. Sitting out on the adirondack chairs to start and end the day was peaceful and relaxing.

Fun little houseboat. Clean interior with spartan furnishings. Non working TV. Bonus was spectacular electrical thunderstorm at 2 am. Near a fab grill/bar called Island something. Beautiful seminole thatched roof (and outstanding Pina Coladas!). About MM 54.

Impossible to sleep on hard mattresses that crunched every time you would turn or move in bed. Lamp wouldn't work, toilet paper holder was broken, only one small towel bar in shower. I was told by hotel.Com that we would have a balcony with waterfront view or balcony s. There were no units with waterfront view except for floating boats made into rooms. […] Tried to contact someone to talk about if they had a better room for our second night stay, only a sign on door saying be there at 11:00 am. This is a quiet and quaint place to stay. No frills but it does have all the essentials. Sitting on the boat deck in the mornings watching the sunset and the birds was a peaceful way to begin the day. It's a short walk to get coffee in the morning and the Dophin Research Center is only five miles down the road.

It was definitely different. Silly kinda but fun. They could use a few more pillows and some updating, however, each boat is different so I can't say what the rest looked like. We would go back but I don't think I would stay more than a night or 2 if we had the same boat.

Our "standard" room was advertised to have a balcony/patio...none. Our toilet paper was kept on the back of the toilet...no hanger. The bathroom window did not close and there was no screen so bugs could fly in. We had no towels in our room. When I went to find someone to get towels, no one was around. The window curtain was an old bed sheet splattered […] with paint. The refrigator had pieces of food in it. No phone or clock in our room! It was a filthy room with dust, dirt and cobwebs. As we were departing our "neighbor" asked for our toilet paper as they had none in their room. It is not as presented on-line....don't book a "standard" room! No services offered other than housekeeping, but that doe not include dusting or cleaning. The room was very small with a out dated TV (19"). Mattress were very uncomfortable. It stated when I booked that our room would have our very oen porch, NOT. Our room was in a building with three other rooms that share the entry porch. Lucky there was a bar in walking distance that after a few (alot) drinks you just passed out on the uncomfortable […] mattress. Didn't think that the price we paid was worth it. Mehr

Exactly what I was expecting. Long on character but alittle run down and musty. But where else can you stay on a floating room moored on a dock. Not for you if you big clean motel room, but fun if you like a bit funky.

Given choice of 2 different rooms, springs coming through mattresses in both rooms. Visually beds were in a 'bowl' shape. Missing parts inside toilet, wouldn't flush. Would be next day before they could fix. Made a pull string myself so we could flush. Shower curtain doesn't fit at bottom, water all over floor, wait, there wasn't any hot water after […] less than 3 minutes. Never rewarmed. The 'floating' rooms were old houseboats which list to the back and side. Didn't see in them but wouldn't pay the extra for that experience. We aren't picky, but this was less comfort than a campground. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. That's the simple truth. Mehr

way overpriced by about three times but with their book on line no refund policy we did not have much choice. The room stank of old socks, when my son leaned the bed pillows up to watch tv the bed shot out from the wall. The floor and walls were dirty, odd angles to every thing like the way the bathroom jutted out, the tiles on not quite the right diagonal. […] The tv was so blurry it was near to unwatchable, when I complained to the desk person all they would do was "bring it to the attention of the manager" Mehr

Terrible place!! This was the most expensive place we stayed at during our 3 week visit to Florida and the worst. We were given a tiny room about 30 feet from the highway. One of the bed frames was broken in half at the bottom. With 2 people in the bed it almost sagged down to the floor. The shower was disgusting. We had to ask for towels and glasses. […] I could go on but I think you get the picture. And of course when we are ready to leave in the morning there is no one to complain to, just a sign that says "deposit keys here". This is nothing short of robbery for what we paid.
