Das Hotel ist in New Carrollton (Maryland ). Die Umgebung besteht aus Supermärkten und Schnellrestaurants.Das Hotel hat einen eigenen Shuttelservice zur Metro .Die Hinfahrt nach Fahrplan ,die Rückfahrt nach ansage.Das Frühstück ist wie überall in Amerika nicht sehr reichhaltig ,aber man wird satt. So das übliche Essen.Kaffee Tee Toast MIlch Cornflex Rührei Butter Marmelade .Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr geräumig

Hotelzimmer sing großzügig mit eingebauter Kitchenette - alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt - das Frühstückbüffet (complimentray) ist reichhaltig und sehr gut - die Hotelpersonal ist hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend - das Hotelshuttle kann für Transfers zu nahegelegenen Zielen kostenlos genutzt werden - nächstgelegene Metro-Station: Vienna (orange) kann mit Taxi erreicht werden - wenn mit Auto unterwegs, ist Lage / Pries-Leistungsverhältnis des Hotels sehr gut.

Ausgesprochen leicht zu Fuß zu erkunden ist die Altstadt von Alexandria. Die knapp 4.000 historischen Wohn- und Geschäftsgebäude bieten einen Blick auf die Anfänge der USA. Viele Besucher beginnen ihre Erkundung am Ramsey House Visitors Center nahe dem Zentrum der Old Town. Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten gehört die Kunstgalerie The Athenaeum im typischen amerikanischen Stil des ausgehenden 19. Jahrhunderts. Der durch den Bürgerkrieg legendär gewordene General Robert E. Lee hielt sich hier einst auf. Auch Mount Vernon, das Anwesen von George Washington, ist sehenswert.

The surrounding area is nice and quiet, with plenty to do (including a Chick Fil A!) but I would certainly recommend staying here. We were there for an event at Nationals Park and were able to get there in 15 minutes, so the proximity was key. To sum it up, if you can, stay here, certainly worth it. Mehr

I haven't been disappointed at a Renaissance as of yet, I'm sure I won't be! Very clean, modern room, with superior service! The parking was a little weird, but it's DC, so you deal with it!

I feel that overall, this hotel is seriously overrated by its hype and the lemming mentality of other reviewers. The staff was neither cheerful nor courteous as touted: It was often difficult to get the Valet's attention when standing in the lobby to retrieve our vehicle, if you did not call ahead for pickup. Our room was not regularly tended or cleaned, […] unless we called housekeeping, which was an annoying daily necessity. While the hotel lobby and rooms are well appointed and aesthetically attractive, these appearances seem to be the design of an intentional distraction, similar to those used by a prestidigitator. The hotel lobby was absolutely beautiful. they have Mac computers in the lobby, comfortable seating, and a great lounge in the back. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.

"Loved our 4-day stay!"
The only thing that would make this hotel better is being closer to the metro. Although, it's only a 15 minute walk, or a 10 minute shuttle ride...but we seem to always miss the shuttle which runs every 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend this hotel for DC sightseeing!

We searched and searched for our best option and decided to go with this one. Hotel staff was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. We needed a roll away (a lot nicer then expected!) and it was brought to our room within 5 minutes of us getting there. The room and hotel was very clean. Amazing workout room! Treadmills, elipticals, free weights, and […] machines! Beautiful terrace, very safe parking garage, and on site laundry room. We took our children with us and felt this was the perfect family location. Location was excellent. Safe neighborhood and with the hotels shuttle service straight to the metro, we didn't even take out vehicle out of the garage until it was time to head home. Location was close to several places to walk to for a bite to eat. We will not even shop around for our next visit, this will be our only option. Very pleased! The only con is the inside pool was smaller then our pool at home. Pool hours are limited during the week so when it was open, it was very full. You will not be disappointed with this hotel! Mehr

This was my favorite hotel that I have ever stayed in. The entire staff was super friendly, helpful and quick to serve you. The hotel's decor was very modern. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel's food was delicious. We ate two meals there, and both were pretty reasonably priced. I would love to stay here again.

It was an extremely pleasant hotel stay for my entire family. The kids loved the lobby and access to apple computers. The room was very comfortable. We all slept well. We would stay here in the future and highly recommend it to anyone who is touring the DC area.

"awesome and convenient"
this place is really beautifully designed, almost palatial, with a very hip Miami-Beach modern style. A great location a few hundred feet from Reagan Airport, and a block from running and biking trails along the Potomac and Four Mile Run. Great discovery!

The Renaissance Arlington is a gem of a hotel. Friendly staff greeted us wherever we went - valet, garage, front desk, bartender, wait staff. The room was clean and beautifully appointed with modern lighting and furniture. We enjoyed the 9th floor view of the Potomac River and were impressed by the sound-proofing of the floor-to-ceiling window and room […] (our stay coincided with a guests attending a cheerleading competition!). At breakfast, we recommend the buffet as our off-the-menu eggs benedict took a long time to arrive and weren't worth the wait. That said, our experience at the Renaissance is one worth repeating! It was a little confusing to get to since it is on a newly constructed road that my GPS didn't know about, but we got there using an alternate address. I ate in the restaurant twice, it was delicious, but very pricey. "Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel"
I stayed at the marriott at Tysons corner for 2 weeks before moving into this hotel for the weekend. It's new and cozy. Staff is friendly. Room service is speedy and quality is good. Overall much better than the Marriott I have stayed. I didn't take the shuttle to the nearest metro. It's a 15 min fast walk to Crystal City metro. There are a few restaurants […] along the way which open on Sat and Sun. But to get daily supplies over the weekend is impossible. And that's the only challenge in terms of location. But it's next to Reagan airport so no need to worry about traffic when catching a flight. I will stay there again if I ever go back to DC Mehr

I made reservations for a a King Bed and I didn't get a kid bed. Room Service came late and there were items missing...but we were in a rush so we didnt call back. Hotel was beautiful and people were nice.

Quick $15 cab to the Smithsonian and sites, several restaurants within walking distance. Great hotel, great service, but Internet access costs $16 a day. Free shuttle to the airport, nice hotel bar and coffee shop.
"Renaissance View in Arlinton - a must stay!"
Great hotel, very trendy bar and restaurant - which was top notch, awesome room - extremely comfortable! Wonderful service and the shuttle to the metro and airport was SO convenient! Just a short metro ride to DC. HIGHLY recommend!

"Excellent Hotel near Washington's Reagan Airport"
The Renaissance Hotel has an excellent location near Washington's Reagan Airport (.7 miles). My husband and I chose the Hotel from your website because we were flying out extremely early the following morning and the Hotel had just opened in March 2011. Our experience at the hotel was excellent and very enjoyable. We were immediately greeted by friendly […] and efficient staff from the moment we arrived until our departure. Our experience at the Front Desk on both days was extremely efficient and very pleasant. The decor is welcoming, interesting and zen-like which encourages the relaxation factor we were seeking. We especially enjoyed observing the interesting and delicate movement of the sculpure pieces displayed in the Lobby and the decor of our hotel room. Our bathroom was luxurious, clean, extremely spacious and modern. The gentleman who walked us to our room with our luggage was thrilled to show us the great view we had from our room. His enthusiasm was refreshing. In the evening we sat comfortably at the window watching the incoming planes land at the Airport and the nearby Metro trains. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Socci Restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and provided excellent and attentive service throughout our dinner. We took a short walk around the hotel before stopping by the illy Cafe and then on to our room. The next morning our taxi was waiting for us and our journey to the Airport was very pleasant and short. The Renaissance is an excellent Hotel! Mehr

It was a great weekend stay with a great room and outstanding staff. Nothing super fancy about the room, but the lobby and bar were great as well as the shuttle to the metro and the airport. I always say this in my reviews but these big chains rally need to offer free wi-fi- its like shampoo- I just expect it to be there.

The staff were very accomodating, however, the room seemed to need a more thorough cleaning. We did order room service, it was very good, but pricey. Very convenient for the seminar I was attending a few blocks away.

"Nice Hotel"
The hotel was very nice, and they offer a free shuttle to the metro station or the airport. I received great service from the employees; they brought me and my family bikes to rent (complimentary of course)--there was 8 of us! The only negative I can say is that when I checked in, I had told the guy at the front desk that I was attending a conference, […] and that I would be staying two extra days, paying with a separate credit card. Low and behold, I was checked out before the two extra days came and my key was deactivated. I went to the front desk and they could not find my reservation. I think the guy deleted it because when I checked in he asked me about the two extra days. Well, I had to go up to the business center and print out my confirmation. Very annoying. I came back to the front desk and that guy was there again...I asked for the other girl to help me and then everything was taken care of. I think that guy was new. Also, that same guy didn't provide the same type of service as the rest of the hotel. When I checked in, he pretty much just handed me the key and said, "we have a pool and gym." Really? Rest of the service from other employees, top notch though. Especially the shuttle drives. Thanks! Mehr

The hotels restaurant is kinda pricey but the service of the hotel and the free shuttle service provided made our stay wonderful. One night we did have an issue with housekeeping in our room and they comped our breakfast the next morning. They were very quick to respond to any issues and were always very friendly.
