Als Vorübernachtung für eine Kreuzfahrt völlig o.K. zumal das Hotel den kostenlosen Busshuttle stellt. Falls man zu Fuß Richtung Las Olaz Blv. geht, sollte man schon darauf achten, wer in der Umgebung rumläuft ( im Dunkeln besser mit dem Taxi fahren), da einige Obdachlose rumhängen.Aber das ist ja in Deutschland auch nicht anders. Stilgemäßes Art-Deco-Hotel für einen Aufenthalt mitten drin in Miami Beach. Sehr schönes Ambiente in der Lobby. Zwar ist das Personal viel Kommen und Gehen von Gästen gewöhnt, trotzdem noch positive, freundliche Routine.

In dieser Preiskategorie sicher eines der besten Hotels. Saubere und moderne Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal. Einzig negativ ist die Poolanlage. Mobiliar verbraucht und lädt nicht zum planschen ein. Pool ist auch sehr klein. Habe keine Gäste gesehen die sich dort aufgehalten haben. Aber ansonst sehr zu empfehlen da in kurzer entfernung(3min. Fußweg) Supermärkte, Restaurants und andere Geschäfte vorhanden. Von 6 Hotels in dieser Preisklasse die wir in Florida besuchtt haben, eindeutig das beste Hotel.

Hervorragende Lage ein Block vom Ocean Drive und dem wunderbaren Strand entfernt. Äußerst freundlicher Service. Die Standardzimmer sind klein aber sehr zweckmäßig und nett im Art Deco Stil eingerichtet. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool auf der Dachterrasse. Es werden kostenlos Liegen und Handtücher am Strand zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr zu empfehlen für Gäste die direkt in der Nähe des Art Deco Viertels übernachten möchten.

Der Metromover, eine vollautomatische Hochbahn, verbindet die AmericanAirlines Arena, den Bayside Marketplace, den Finanzdistrikt in der Brickell Avenue, das Kunstmuseum Miami Art Museum und viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten im Zentrum miteinander. Um nach Norden und Süden zu gelangen, kann man in die Metrorail umsteigen. Der Hafen von Miami liegt in der Nähe der Innenstadt. Hier befinden sich auch die drei ethnischen Enklaven Little Haiti, Little Havana und Liberty City, das historische afro-amerikanische Viertel.

Die Sauberkeit ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Hotel ist sehr heruntergewohnt. Die Lage fast direkt am Hafen ist allerdings sehr gut.

Sehr unfreundliches Personal an der Rezeption. Nach dem Betreten des Zimmers traf uns der Schlag: das Zimmer hatte 2 Einzelbetten, obwohl wir als Paar anreisten, einen Tisch und einen Stuhl. Das Zimmer lag direkt an der Straßenkreuzung mit regem Verkehr und am WE lauten Clubs. Schlafen konnte man nur mit eigener Musik oder dem surrenden Geräusch der […] Klimaanlage, die im halb-geöffnetem Fenster hing. Kein Safe vorhanden! Sehr windige, lockere und schwer abzusperrende Türen. Badezimmertür konnte gar nicht zugemacht werden. Fazit: Katastrophales Zimmer! Als Frühstück wurde Toast (Vollkorn oder Weizen) und Blechkuchen, mit Kaffee oder Tee (1 Sorte) angeboten. Fazit: sehr spärliches Frühstück, aber war zu erwarten. Die Lage des Hotels dagegen ist super! Direkt am Marketplace am Biscayne--Blvd mit Abendentertainment und vielen Möglichkeiten zum Essen und Shoppen. Sehr gute Busverbindung nach Miami Beach (3 Buslinien). Fazit: Lage ist sehr gut! Fazit insgesamt: nicht weiter zu empfehlendes Hotel, mit unfreundlichem Personal und komfortlosen Zimmern. "Leamington Hotel Miami"
Das Leamington Hotel in Miami war für mich nur eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit, weil es in Nähe des Kreuzfahrtfhafens von Miami lag und der Preis einigermaßen ok war. Das Hotel selbst ist eigentlich kein Wort wert, es ist eine sehr unsaubere und alte Absteige. Anders kann man es wirklich nicht bezeichnen. Zimmer und Bad waren alt und dreckig und das Licht […] im Bad ging nicht. Der Fußboden im Zimmer hat geklebt und im Bad waren überall schwarze Haare, entweder vom Zimmermädchen oder dem letzten Gast. Einfach ekelhaft. In der Lobby gibt es einen Getränkeautomat und wenn ich mich richtig erinnere auch ein ATM. Der Internetempfang im Zimmer war schlicht nicht vorhanden bzw. zu schlecht, um ein Signal zu senden. Die junge Dame am Empfang war unfreundlich und hatte scheinbar keine Lust, sich mit dem Problem zu befassen. Ich saß dann in der Lobby und versuchte fast eine Stunde eine Email zu senden. In Laufnähe befinden sich der Metromover, die American Airlines Arena, der Bayside Marketplace, Starbucks, eine Pizzeria und kleine Einkaufsmärkte, wo man sich mit Getränken versorgen kann. Mein Tipp: lieber ein paar Dollar mehr ausgeben und sich etwas vernünftiges suchen. Mehr
Dieses ist nicht unbedingt ein Hotel für du & ich. Alleinreisende ohne große Ansprüche = okay. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für USA wahrscheinlich auch okay.

Leider kann man das Hotel (auch zu dem Preis)nicht weiterempfehlen. Sehr abgewohnt und hat deshalb nicht mal einen Stern verdient.

Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Meer und zur Flaniermeile hervorragend, das Hotel dagegen in Ausstattung, Service und Sauberkeit nur für geringste Ansprüche, allerdings auch relativ günstig.

"einfach und sauber"
Das Hotel hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage in Miami, gleich neben dem Bayside Marketplace, wo Betrieb herrscht. Sehr ideal im Zusammenhang mit einer Kreuzfahrt ab Miami. Gratis Shuttle zum Kreuzfahrtschiff oder Airport. Frühstück einfach, aber für Europäer ganz ideal. Preis-Leistung ist gut.

I was very about my staying but I did not get my one night free for staying ten nights the chicking out thank you .
You get what you paid for. Me and my frirnds stayed because it was cinviniently licated near the port since we were going on a cruise the next day. The elevator they gad was straight from the Titanic where the guy had to pull a lever to bring you to your floor. The room was very tiny but it was cery clean so thats a plus for me. We had no hot water […] and we tried calling downstairs but the phone wasnt working. The guy at the front desk said to leave it running for 10 min. That to me was ridiculous! We still didnt have water for the whole night and following morning. The next day I spoke to the manager about it and he told me I need to call hotels.com to get a refund. I did call and they gave me my money back so that at least was a good thing. also the continental breakfast considered of just toast and muffins nothing satisfying. If your trying to find a place to crash for the night because your cruise is in the next day then stay here but if planning to stay longer I strongly recommend you go somewhere else. Mehr
"Convenient and Close"
I read some of the reviews on this hotel to be a 2-3 stars, however the service we got was beyond 5! Our flight was early and we got to the hotel at 8 in the morning and was told we couldn't check in till after 2. We also took a city bus so we were dirty and tired. However upon waiting for an hour in the lobby, the clerk says he can get us a room ready […] for us at 10. We were ecstatic because we just took a red eye flight from LA and we were beyond tired. This is an old hotel so expect the qualities and maintenance of an old building but for the price, convenience to the port (for our cruise) and GREAT service, we booked another night after our 8 day cruise from the Carribbean. There is also complementary shuttle service to the cruise port and also to the airport which we took full advantage of Mehr

"Leamington Hotel - Condemn this place"
I'm pretty sure this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I've stayed in some hostel dumps and this place was worse. The price and location are good but only stay here if you need somewhere to rest your head for a couple hours. A traveler with us recommended the Bayside for a better location and nicer dump.

Hotel was surprisingly clean. It was a good place to crash on the way to our cruise- free shuttle to port a definite plus. Rooms are small and have limited bed options. Make sure you make the right bed choice at registration. You can't change it later. Breakfast wasn't worth stopping for - white bread for toast and coffee...we wandered the neighborhood […] and found a small diner. The elevator is awesome. It is original to the building and has an onboard operator. Ring bell and then be very patient - it takes him a few minutes to get there. For the price and purpose I would stay there again. This was a CRAPPY hotel with HORRIBLE service!! The only reason it was ANY good is because of it's location. Spend a few extra bucks in Miami. You get what you pay for and this is NOT worth the small discount! Yikes.
"No idea how this place stays in business."
Wow what a dump. I read all the reviews and thought, I am sure its not that bad...how wrong could I be! I have stayed in some rough places but this tops the bunch, especially for the price. The lobby sort of lured you in as it was done up to look ok. As soon as you hit the stairs (elevator permanently broken), you really realise what dump this was, […] smells of smoke very rough and noisy. Beds were awful, made you think they picked up mattress's off the side of the road. I dared not to look under the sheets to really see how bad they were. Bathroom was a joke, didn't even bother to try and shower. As I arrived a bunch of college girls had just checked in. When I went back to the lobby they were all there, tears streaming down there faces, they were that upset by this dump. Never ever go here, the cheap price is not worth it. Mehr

The hotel was a shack.the door lock barely worked and looked like you could just push the door openit actually did open once on it's owncuase i didn't get it just right.the service was alright but very impersonal.i will never stay at this hotel again under any circumstances.

Hotel has few employees and so there is wait at check in and check out and if there are any questions. Sometimes there is no line and they answer your questions well and quick. There is an old time elevator that is manned so the employee comes when the bell is rung and very small. Ask to stay on 2nd floor and you can use the stairs. Only soap in room […] and no shampoo, lotion etc. No washcloths in our room. Things were broken and not fixed and cracks at edge of door to hall. Traffic noise and noise because windows need replacing. The breakfast was toast and a coffee cake and tea and coffee. No cereal for children or milk. It was very reasonable but the rates vary. It is close to port, Bayside Market and a CVS and other shops, free transportation on people mover and close to buses. A bus can be taken from airport but it took 40 minutes. "Sparse Hotel Close to Port of Miami"
This is a very old hotel that has been refurbished. Rooms are very small and the bathroom only smaller. The breakfast consisted of two types of bread, wheat or white, two types of cake, poppy seed or banana nut, and coffee. No juice, fresh fruit or milk. The room had two small bath towels and no wash cloths or hand towels. The elevator is small and […] has to be manned by a hotel employee. Hours 6am-10pm. The airport shuttle is only 2 times per day, 9:30am and 3pm, with no other times available. Breakfast is from 8am -10am, so if you are heading out early on an excursion you will have no breakfast. Walgreens around the block has empanadas, croissants and donuts and is open 24 hrs. The only good thing was free wi-fi. The staff was only somewhat helpful. They had no knowledge of any tours or of a place to print an e-ticket. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay and expect nothing else then this is the place for you, otherwise budget higher and stay elsewhere. Mehr

We only needed a hotel for one night and chose to save money and take a room at this hotel. Worst mistake we ever made. The hotel is very poorly cared for, not clean and very run down. It has to be fixed up to even call it a dump.

"Not too bad, great location"
This hotel is within walking distance from Bayside and lots of shopping stores. The only reason i chose this hotel is because they offered a free shuttle service to the port of miami where my family and I went on a cruise. All in all, it's great for a one niter and head on to the cruise the next day. Good for the price, not fancy but it did the job […] . Mehr

The elevator was charming. Very old so that it needed a person to operate it (dressed appropriately). The hotel was very antiquated. You could see through the crack in the door. It took 10 minutes to get hot water in the shower. The tram was right outside our window. Would not go again.

We stayed at the 5th floor and to get out of the hotel, we had to walk out through the roof to another place within the building to take the stairs down, this was because they do not have elevator in operation from 12 AM until 7 AM, very confusing as there are no clear directions. Elevator by the way is from the 20's, so you need the elevator operator […] which is handled by a very kind man but it's crazy because he needs to do other stuff as well, sometimes you need to wait 5 minutes to get to your floor or go down!. The lobby is the best place, wifi its ok, works in the room with no problem. Overall the employees are kind, the cake they serve in the morning is very good. All in all you would expect something better, I would not recommend this place, hopefully the elevator will be automated and the 5th floor renewed. Mehr

I AM 76 YEARS OF AGE. I HAVE TREVELLED ALL MY LIFE. tHIS HOTEL WAS BY FAR THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. I SLEPT ON THE TOP OF THE BED COVERS FULLY CLOTHED AND I DID NOT USE THE SHOWER. HOW YOU CAN POSSIBLY HAVE THIS HOTEL ON YOUR LIST ASTOUNDS ME. HAVE IT CHECKED BY SOMEBODY THEY WILL AGREE WITH MY ASSESMENT.

"Great loc to port of Miami, just don't expect much"
Hotel is very old and falling apart. Bathtub was rusty and missing parts. I managed a shower but the water didn't get hot & had little pressure. Carpets were stained and walls were crumbling apart. Air condt units were single wall units & didn't really work. Kept on high all day & stayed somewhat cool. Stayed there long enough to get a few hours rest […] before the cruise. The skinny...good enough for one night to pass out in before the boat leaves. Not much more. Good neighborhood area and close to the port. Mehr

Good location if cruising out of P of Miami. Positives included free shuttle to port and airport. Negatives were security of doors. Doors looked like they had been kicked in previously and locks were not going to prevent someone kicking the door in again. The location is great to participate in walking to the waterfront in the evening. Good shopping, […] food, and entertainment in the park at the water front. You have to have some street smarts.
