Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Hotel liegt phänomenal gut, die Gesamtanlage und der Service sind sehr gut. Allerdings hatte man uns zuerst ein viel zu kleines und stark verschmutztes Zimmer im 3. Geschoss mit dem Auslass der Großklimaanlage direkt vor dem Fenster angeboten (Lärm!), das war auch so nicht gebucht. Reklamation war aber sofort möglich und iwr bekamen ein anderes Zimmer, das dann sehr schön war.

War ok - Zimmer sehr klein aber okay für Übernachtung in NEW ORK - Preis Leistung war okay.

Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.
"Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, ABER KEIN Service"
Eigentlich waren wir mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden, wir hatten im 40.Stock ein Zimmer mit Stadtblick, beim Check-In verlief auch alles super, aber bezüglich Service ist das Hotel ein Flopp! Hier die Erklärung: Wir waren am 31.12.11 dort und wollten früh um 7 Uhr frühstücken (da macht das integrierte Restaurant auch auf) aber eine Warteschlange von ca. […] 2h hat uns dann doch davon abgehalten und waren sauer. Denn das Restaurant ist viel zu klein und nicht für ein annähernd halb ausgebuchtes Hotel ausgelegt. Max. dürfen 52 Gäste im Restaurant sein, aber das Hotel hat 40 Etagen mit je 10 Zimmern...da kann man sich ausrechnen, dass es mal schnell zu einer langen Schlange kommt!!! Wir haben dazu den Hotel-Manager befragt und ihn um einen Ausgleich gebeten (free Wifi, Getränke, o.ä.) aber er zuckte immer nur mit den Schultern und verwies darauf, dass das Hotel hat ausgebucht ist und sah keinen Anlass uns als Hotelgäste zufrieden zu stellen. Wir hatten ihm aber die Chance gegeben. Deshalb die schlechte Bewertung bez. des Service. Als wir an den anderen Tagen es mal geschafft hatten zu frühstücken, war es ganz nett, aber der Starbucks oder "Au bon Pain" sind wirklich "um die Ecke", da kann man sich das Frühstück sparen. Die Zimmer sind kleiner als auf den Fotos!!! Das Bad/WC hat nur eine Schiebetür, die zugezogen auch hätte gespart werden können auf Grund vom Durchdringungsgrad der typischen Bad/WC-Geräusche. Das Bett war aber sehr gut, TV ist auch ok und die Aussicht war auch sehr nett, man konnte direkt die Straße an der NYSE sehen und den Bau des Freedom-Towers. Zusammengefasst: Nur ein Bett ohne Frühstück, evtl. mit Stadtblick oder Riverside Blick...und keinen Service erwarten!!! Mehr

"sehr gutes neues Hotel"
Das Doubletree ist ein neu gebautes, schickes Hotel, dass mehr durch innere Werte besticht, als durch äußeren Prunk. Es liegt besonders abend etwas ab vom Schuss, aber mit Subway und Taxi kein Problem. Das Hotel ist shr sauber, die Zimmer nicht riesig, dafür geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Auch das Bad verdient Lob. Ebenso die Hotelcrew, die sich egal ob […] im Restaurant oder an der Rezeption, stest freundlich bemüht und weiterhilft. Einmal gabs kaltes Essen auf dem Zimmer, dafür ein kostenloses Frühstück, persönlich vom Manager. Was soll ich da meckern. Gerne wieder und hoffentlich bald. Mehr

Positiv: Lage nahe Battery Park ist prima. U-Bahn Station 3 min entfernt. Hop on / Hop off Busse 3 min entfernt. Lage für New Yorker Verhältnisse ruhig. Restaurants in kurzer Distanz bzw. im Hotel. Hilfsbereites, freundliches Personal. Negativ: Fan im Bad ist nicht abzuschalten und relativ laut. Stört nachts.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super für Ausflüge im unternen Teil Manhattens. Die Subways sind schnell zu ereichen.

the bed was not a king size like it said it was. our feet were hanging over the edge. there was a foul smell coming from the bathroom sink. i told the concierge and she said she would send engineer up, but the smell never went away.

hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull, water in sink was extremely hot and water in shower barely got hot...was better off taking the stairs..waiting on elevators took too long..overall it was a nice stay..rooms were nice and staff made it worth the price...I would stay there again..

You won't regret staying at this hotel. The location in Financial district is perfect with a short walk to 3 different subway stations, the Staten island ferry and Stone street that transforms into a crowded barstreet at warm spring and summer nights. The rooms were great and the breakfast was good.

"Great Hotel, Bad Staffing"
After checking in I went up to my room to get settled. Not even five minutes later another hotel guest walked right into my room! The front desk had given my room to someone else after I was already in it. Then it took four phone calls to try and sort out what happened. I honestly didn't feel very safe or comfortable after the incident, and nothing […] was done in terms of an apology. Another main issue was the elevators. They have three, but you better plan on giving yourself some extra time because getting one to come to your floor was nearly impossible. At one point I waited 15 minutes, I wasn’t about to walk down 22 flights of stairs with my luggage. And the last issue was the housekeeping staff were very loud, laughing and joking outside my room at around 8:45 am. They were loud enough to wake me up, and then keep me up. Mehr

"Double Tree Financial Dist"
Perfect for what I needed. Rooms were small even for NYC but well furnished with nice new everything. Restaurant and bar are very small. Staff was warm and helpful. Great for business, wouldn't stay there for leisure due to the size.
"Would Stay Again"
I wasn't 100 percent in love with the location, but luckily there are multiple subway stations around within, at most, a five minute walk. Plus it's near both the Staten Island Ferry and Battery Park. The staff was friendly, the room was comfy and there's a pizza place down the street with amazing food. I paid a little bit more than I normally would […] for a hotel room but I have no regrets about doing it. And if my finances allow it, I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

The room was very cramped, and hallway noise is loud. The shower requires you to get wet while you are setting the temperature of the water (burn hazard). Not all floors have ice machines, and none of them have any vending machines. The elevators are inadequate for the number of the rooms, making it so you will have to wait for 5 or more minutes only […] to have the door open to a packed car. No cabs in front of the hotel. Our overall experience was good. About the only real complaint is that it was difficult to get expected amenities. Shampoo and soaps, coffee cups and creamers were not replaced until our last night, never could get clean glasses (even requesting this @ the front desk). The staff was very friendly and helpful except noted above.

My husband and I decided to stay downtown this trip as we spend most of our time in NYC down there. We got a great deal on this hotel and although it was more south than we wanted to stay, we couldn't turn down the rate. Overall our stay was good. The rooms are small but we only really used the room to sleep at night so it wasn't really an issue. The […] low setting on the fan was pretty strong, so we woke up every morning dried out from the heater. It was either that or freezing to death... Our only other complaint was the elevators. As mentioned a few times on other reviews, there are only 3 and they are pretty slow because so many guests are using them. Luckily we were on the 7th floor but had we been in a higher room, it would have really irritated us. Mehr

Check-in was delayed for about 2 hours because room was not ready until 3:00. Room was very nice,clean,up to date with electronic amenities. Bathroom could use more shelf space for holding toiletries including shaving cream.

We booked the Double Tree on Stone Street because it was by far the best deal in town for that weekend. The neighbourhood was well worth discovering, with old New York buildings and historic taverns and place. The hotel room was very clean, modern and the staff courteous. The only draw back is that with only 3 elevators and no staff elevators the wait […] was sometimes long as the elevators were extensively used to by the staff as well load and unload sheets, towels etc from floor to floor. Room-service may knock your door at 8 a.m. in the morning which was for me very strange to put it mild. Never washed the glasses. Had to ask for shampoo and other staff.

Went for a weekend stay in NYC. This hotel is in the Financial District which we had heard was quite dead during the weekend. However, we had a FABULOUS time. We were able to walk up to other neighborhoods, Little Italy, Soho and West Village. But we found some jewels right near our hotel. Of course, Battery Park is right there and there is so much […] history right in that region, including Castle Clinton, the first Ellis Island. We visited the Customs House, which is a gorgeous, old building and the beginnings of taxation and commerce for the US. Bowling Green is there and the sight where Washington gave his first inaugural address. So many little jewels right there, including some good pubs. We would definitely go back. Mehr

This was a pretty decent hotel, priced fairly and very close to Battery Park. It was located only steps away from the yellow R line. The rooms were very small and tight, not surprising for a downtown location. The shower doors leaked like crazy, so water always saturated the floor towels. Tiny bathrooms. The front desk staff and the CareLine staff were extremely helpful & prompt. If you need to be anywhere around the financial district or Battery Park, this place is perfect. Nothing fancy -- rooms are not very big -- but modern, clean and comfortable.

I stayed here for a quick trip to NY and it was wonderful. it was an easy location to the train line and you could cabs relatively easy. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were nice and cozy. The only problem was there was a convention in the hotel so we had to wait for breakfast for about an hour and the double rooms were booked. Second time staying here-convenient for us. Hotel is clean & staff friendly (especially hostess in restaurant!) Made second reservation to add on an extra day & did have some issues with room key needing to be reset. Also did not get additional toiletries or bath mat after the second day. Overall-more than decent-would stay there again.

"Far from Sights but Quiet and Comfortable"
I loved our stay here! The hotel is nestled between several tall buildings very close to the water's edge about a block away from the South Ferry subway and just up the street from the Whitehall station. It was quiet at night, felt very safe, just a cozy and comfortable place to retreat. The room temperature was hard to control but the bed was luxuriously […] comfy. The showerhead didn't stream water very well but the toiletries were exquisite. I just felt very much at home here and, if it weren't for the far location from everything in the city, I would stay here again. If I just need a quiet little room to relax after enjoying the non-touristy parts of NYC, I would absolutely stay here again. Mehr

Great hotel. The room was amazing and comfortable. It was a little small but it wasn't deal breaker. The elevator does take a while but what do you expect with 44 floors? Would stay here again especially in the summertime since its near the seaport. Great choice for an nyc hotel.
