Belmont Guest House - Harrogate

Gemütliches Hotel in zentraler Lage und in der Nähe des Messegeländes. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Ist definitiv eine Empfehlung wert.

Familiengeführtes, freundliches, landestyp. Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Betten sind hervorragend, Frühstück gibt es nach Wahl und Tips für Unternehmungen auf Nachfrage oder in reichlich ausliegenden Infomaterialien. Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Harrogate konnten wir fussläuffig erreichen. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

I got what I paid for.....

Very friendly owners who were interested in us as people. They talked, listenened and remembered details about us. Excellent breakfast choice and service with individual requestsno trouble. Bed was average, road was noisy and people returning from night outs in town returning home past the Guest House were loud. Not the problem of the owners of course […] but not good for guests who come from homes with quite environments. Would stay again if in a back bedroom. Mehr

Just a couple of points 1. Room was said to have bath & shower...it turned out to be hand held shower in three quarter size bath....would not of booked room if we had known ! 2. Nice breakfast but very dry....needed the option of beans with it. Other than that nice place to stay !

The owners were very welcoming, attentive and informative about the local area and its amenities. The room was clean and the breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful with a good choice. Would mention one point to prospective patrons and that is access. Due to geography of Harrogate there are a lot of steps up to the front of the guest house and anyone […] with walking difficulties may have problems. Lovely hosts but the guest house itself is tired. One of our windows had a hole in it and the bathroom was tiny. Good location though as we were only a 10/15 minute walk from the train station and nearby restaurants.

Had a single room with on suite and although the shower was small it was adequate.The room was also clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel was a 10 to 15 minutes from the town centre but close to a large veriety of restaurants.Well pleased with my choice.

Had a lovely few days at Belmont Guesthouse. We came for a conference, but would be happy to come back for a weekend away at this bed and breakfast. The owners were lovely, and we had a great breakfast every morning.

This place is a hidden gem - the owners Jo and Mike are warm, inviting and friendly. My collegue and I had a twin room - the rooms are spacious and have old country charm, with all amenities required. Ensuite is in each room. My only niggle was feeling the springs in the mattress but I still slept well. The room is made up every day unless you ask, […] and water/tea/coffee replaced. There is only one flight of stairs but Mike was kind enough to carry my very heavy case, thankyou!! Breakfast is extensive, you wont go hungry! - with coffee, tea, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, toast and any combination of cooked food all done with fanastic service. If you are going for a conference at the conference centre then it is literally 2minute walk - couldnt beat it for location. The town centre is only a short walk away, with amazing food (try John St!) and all the best shops available (try go into Primark and not buy something!). Free WiFi is also available. All up I found it an extremely pleasant stay - definitely recommend it, just go with more cash than us because the effort Jo and Mike out in, they really deserve a big tip! Mehr

I have been coming to Harrogate annually for 20 years and despite the large number of hotels, most offer really bad value for money and some of those charging twice as much are plain awful. The Belmont on the other hand, offers good value, a nice breakfast and a warm friendly welcome. Its in a period building so you have to expect funny shaped rooms […] and narrow stairs but thats also part of its charm. Breakfast is good and very relaxed. For exhibition goers, its very close to the exhibition, just a flat walk away and convenient for the bars and restaurants. Mehr

Warm greeting by proprietors as soon as we arrived. Lots of information on what to do and see in Harrogate. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. No lift, although the proprietor helped us with our cases. No view from the window, as it was frosted glass and lead out onto the fire escape. Beds were very comfortable.
