Beautiful spacius rooms.

Awesome place. More like a little house than a hotel room. One complaint: the "stink" they use on the 1st & 2nd floors as well as in their soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I don't know who thought that it was a nice fragrance, but dear Lord, it is horrendous!

There are some other really good hotels in the area too (as we stay at several in the area frequently), but the Redbury in our opinion is still the best one. We've found the majority of the staff to be very professional and friendly. It makes a difference when people welcome you and genuinely try to be helpful. Another good feature is that the hotel […] has a very private and secluded feel. It's not as big and trendy as some of the others so if it's paramount for you to see and be seen, it's probably not your first choice. But being that it's right there at Hollywood and Vine, you're basically walking distance or a quick cab ride to most everywhere. Not to mention after an evening in the Hollywood night life, it's great to retreat to your private and secluded room in the "wee hours" to get away from it all. Fun hotel, however, be SURE to ask for a quiet room. The Highland side had music going until 3 AM and then the trash cleanup until 5 AM. Not a restful evening.

The Redbury is very unique. It has some very strong pluses and just a few minuses. The size, layout, and décor of the rooms is outstanding! Mine had a little balcony with a view of the iconic Capitol Records building. The garage is very well integrated into the hotel and the valet staff are incredibly fast and nice! The downstairs restaurant is a very […] tasty and happening place, as it should be for such an iconic (used that word again!) location. Due to being a refurbed condo bldg, there is no real lobby, so the tiny check in desk is on the second floor, and this one of the slight minuses. The other minus is that there is a trendy and active (after 10PM) club on the second floor where my room was. This is a problem for light sleepers, but I was OK with the noise, since I am slightly hard of hearing! Other places may be closer to the old Hollywood experience, but the Redbury, while tipping its hat to the old, is very much the new Hollywood! Mehr

This hotel is quite nice. Very unique. The rooms are like studio lofts, very well decorated. Lots of space and very cool setup. The furniture is very modern and up to date. The shower is black tile with a rain fall shower head and there's also a balcony for each room. All in all the decor of the room and the setup is unlike any place I've stayed. I […] usually stay at the W Hotels, Westins, Sofitel and any cool hotels that look modern and unique. This is by far one of the coolest room I've stayed in. The Hotel is very small. The Hotel itself doesn't have a gift shop but they inform you theres a Walgreens/CVC 2 blocks away... (Note: its not walking distance... we tried. It's more like 2 freeway exits away.) This is the second time I stayed here and it is still great. I did notice a little bit of scratches on the hallway walls, but other than that this is one of the best places to stay in LA....for business or just for fun.

40th birthday weekend present. flew in from the east coast. dinner at cleo. sunset flat was sweet. bed so comfortable. classic vinyls in the room. life is good, and my memory is great

A lovely hotel all in all. Concierge staff were very helpful at the hotel. They even gave me a free lift in the hotel car! The bed was possibly the comfiest I have ever slept in. The rooms are huge and most people will probably never utilise such a large kitchen but great if you want to cook in a microwave! If you are a Brit you may want to take your […] own tea bags! Coffee aplenty though. The in house toiletries smelt horrible so take your own or buy some but the power shower was great and the hotel supplied more soft fluffly towels then I could ever dream of using. It was in the main very clean but the carpet was not vacuumed everyday so by the time I left there was quite a bit of fluff. The hotel restaurant was very popular with non guests so its a very good idea to book in advance. The hotel was not as close to Hollywood and Highland as I would have liked. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the main 'section' of Hollywood where the Chinese Theatre is and where you pick up most tour buses and gifts! (Tip - take the metro one stop North to Hollywood & Highland for as its cheap and quick and always empty) It's around $8.00 away in a taxi. Mehr

The rooms are huge and comfortable. Very much like a true studio flat. We were very happily surprised by the hotel and the room and would not only recommend staying there yourselves, but it would be an ideal hotel to book if your business sometimes brings in VIPs from out of town.

The only thing we didn't like was the JAZZ band was so loud in the middle section that we couldn't sleep until after they quit at 11:30 on Wednesday evening.

My room was overlooking the outdoor bar- incredibly loud. Bar didn't close until 11:30. Woke up with 2 large bug bites on my face. The hotel was nice, but the noise level was intolerable. If one was on vacation it might be OK. Bugs are never OK.

The hotel was very cool; almost too cool. The rooms are very comfortable with all the modern amenities you would want away from home. Kitchenette it comfortable and actually functional. Down falls? Wasn't able to utilize the bar/ restaurant because we were in town for a show and they don't open till 6pm. We also got the late night boot from the outside […] verandah by a rude bartender who was " closing" when their were obviously other guests whom were being catered too. I guess our hotel attire doesn't hold up against the suits and high heals theyre trying to attract. I've stayed in economy hotels and I've stayed in Hilton hotels but this was the first time my "coolness" factor didn't stand up. Haha, oh well, the rooms were awesome and overall, a cool place to stay. Mehr

Our first night's sleep was disturbed by a night club down the street. But the hotel staff moved us to a quiet room the next day. When we needed to go to Universal Studios Scott drove us in the hotel's hybrid BMW. We enjoyed our stay immensely and the food and wine at Cleos on the 1st floor was excellent.

Book the Redbury if you're in the mood for a fun splurge - the rooms are expensive (and they nickel and dime you for all the extras - $10 a day for internet access!) but the rooms are beautiful and luxurious, super comfy bed and amaaazing shower! Within walking distance of some of Hollywood's touristy stuff, and very conveniently located to the Metro […] red line - I recommend taking the red line if you want to go down town or to Universal City, super convenient. The staff was friendly and helfpul, too, they let me check in early w/no fuss. One note - do NOT order food from the room service menu, it looks very appetizing and reasonably priced on the menu, but the food is pre-packaged and not fresh at all, and they slap on not one but two extra surcharges to the price - I got a disgusting cold, congealed chicken pita wrap that your average 711 would be ashamed to serve, and it cost me $24 w/all their extra room service, delivery fee, and mandatory gratuity charges. There are all sorts of restaurants and cafes in the area, don't splurge on room service! Mehr

This was a great hotel. The rooms were large, immaculate, and modern with lots of art objects and interesting decor, including a vintage record player for use. There was a kitchen and balcony in the most basic room.

The singularly best bed I have ever slept in at a hotel anywhere on earth. Delightful room and staff. Can't wait to come back

Highly recommended!

I was extremely satisfied with the staff and the size of the room. Would I recommend it to a friend? Only with conditions. The rooms are dark, that is by design and if you like a dark moody place this is the hotel to stay in. There is a open air bar in the center courtyard of the hotel. If you are in one of the rooms that faces this courtyard you are […] going to have a hard time getting to sleep anytime before the bar closes. On Friday night some guests moved from the bar to their rooms and the noise went on until 4 AM. If you don't mind noise or dim lights then this is the place to stay in the center of Hollywoodland. Very unique and trendy hotel. I must warn you, DO NOT stay in room 207, if you get this room, DO NOT accept it, it's above a night club and right next to another night club.

The hotel locates right next to Avalon Club which is famous for trance music!! the staffs in the hotel are extremely nice! they have high tolerance on noise.... if u planned to have a birthday party, bachelor party, whatever party this hotel will be an excellent choice~~ I have booked the Hollywood suite which is 850 sq fts and it is very spacious […] for 11 gals!!! definitely will come back again~ Mehr

The Redbury is a cool hotel in the heart of Hollywood with an old Hollywood vibe. The little touches in the room were subtle but much appreciated. We had a perfect stay at The Redbury Hotel. The guest rooms were spacious (they are in fact studio flats) and wonderfully decorated. The staff is extremely helpful and polite and both the Cleo and Katsuya restaurants offer great food at reasonable prices (at least when compared to London). The only potentially negative aspect is the proximity to the […] Avalon Club which if you are a light sleeper or are sensitive to noise could mean a sleepless night. Personally it did not bother me at all and I will definitely stay again at The Redbury next time I'm in LA. Mehr

huge room ,very comfortable and friendly staff.

What a Hotel! It's actualy a studio apartment. 750 sq/ft of well appointed art-deco coolness that covered almost every attention to detail. Even the signature Redburry smell had us saying "wow" over and over again. The bed was oh so comfortable and we had a blast listening to everthing from Earth, Wind & Fire to the Beastie Boys on the old school record […] player. We only had one night in Hollywood and we ended up staying in our room all night just to maximize this great place. If our paths ever have us even close to this area again we will go out of our way to stay here again without a doubt! Mehr

The decor is cozy and beautiful. A very inspiring boutique hotel to shoot a model photo session. Done this and the photo is incredible with the background brilliantly portrayed in subtle contrast to the model in the foreground. This is a nice, funky hotel. The staff is great! It is relatively close to everything Hollywood. The food at the Cleo restaurant was awesome! The only negative was that they have a fragrance permeating the hotel that can be overwhelming for sensitive people. After the 3rd day it was a little nauseating.

The hotel and room were beautiful. Very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. It is modern with touches of old hollywood and rock and roll, there is a working record player in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem came in the middle of the night. We were on the 2nd floor and unknowingly right next to a club that played […] loud music until 4am. It was a pretty sleepless night. It may not have been so loud on the other side of the hotel or higher up but it was as if we were in the club in our room. Overall I recommend the hotel but check to see where your room is located, unless you plan on being out until 4am. Mehr

I booked an old friend, former employee in this hotel, as a perk, as she was doing me a favor of taking the reins on a fashion show shoot that I was missing, so I could vacation with my family. She gave me rave reviews...and wished her husband was there..and said that I should stay her with Phebe, my wife. This hotel room is more like a small apartment, complete with great sitting area, kitchen, and even a balcony! There's a even and old school turntable with records to play. Only wish I could have stayed longer-- the restaurant looks great but i didn't get to try it on this trip!

These rooms are huge they feel like a downtown loft, complete with equipped kitchen, closet with washer and drier, living room and of course a very spacious bathroom with very high end products. They have cocktail mixers and snacks that are very reasonably priced. We've stayed here twice in a month! The staff is friendly but above that they are efficient. If you're staying in the Hollywood area, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel. I've never been so impressed by a room in my life. The bellhop mentioned that this place was supposed to be condos but was turned into a hotel instead. This means that every room has a fairly large kitchen, gorgeous big bathroom, living room, and bedroom area. There's […] also a balcony, though my room faced a grimy ally, so I didn't spend time there. And this was the cheapest room they had! The furniture is an awesome mix of styles. A little retro, a little modern, and some traditional pieces. The bedroom, living room, and kitchen were all red as the name of the place would indicate. There were deer head coat hooks just inside the door. There are so many light switches that you could set the mood for any occasion. The bathroom is black tile with a big white modern sink. The toilet sits in another room and there are 2 closets in the bathroom area. The bath products were rather large and smelled like almond. I wanted to wrap the whole place up and bring it home with me. There is no pool if you want that sort of thing, but the room is so awesome you probably won't think about it. The island/table in the kitchen has to be 15' long. There's a mini fridge, microwave, Kurig coffee maker, stove and kettle. There's a 42" plasma TV with Logitech Harmony remotes (though mine decided to pick a fight with me) and a Blu-Ray player. Apparently you can rent iPads with movies and books from the front desk which is such a neat feature, though I wasn't there long enough to try that out. There are many restaurants nearby and the area seems safe to walk around. I was incredibly pleased with my stay and if I'm in this area again, you'd better believe I'll be staying here! The only irritating things were that valet parking for one night was almost $40 and using the internet is another $10. This is free at other hotels, so you have to tack on another $50 to your hotel costs to make it on level with others. Mehr

Our stay was a wonderful experience. As far as comfort, the room was top notch! The two bedroom suite was luxurious. This hotel made me feel like I was a star!

I've been a regular for 10 years at another boutique hotel further west on Hollywood Blvd and thought I'd give Redbury a try. When I walked into my "flat" the record player and selection of LP's made me smile, then the spaciousness and perfect set-up closed the deal - I'll replace my other regular with Redbury from now on.

Let me start by saying that this hotel does not have an actual lobby, you have to check in on the second floor. But that's not really an issue. The rooms are BIG! comfortable and just plain groovy! I love the ope floor plan. The color and wall paper make these room stand out. The service was awesome. We forgot something in our car and had the valet […] guy bring it up speedy quick! There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. This is our new favorite place to spend the night while partying in Hollywood! pricey but so worth it! Mehr

One of the hippest rooms I have ever stayed in! We loved the turntable and vinyls that were in our room and didn't care that we had a view of the Alley because our room was so spacious! The Restaurant downstairs (Cleo) was fabulous!

Very comfortable hotel from the bed to the sofa to the terry cloth robes provided to us. If you want a very special experience, I recommend this hotel. The Pantages with it broadway prodution is walking distance. This is not the cheapest hotel by far, but the experience is so special that it is a must do for upscale people. My wife and I decided on a short note to take our cat along to a business/pleasure trip to LA. The hotel where we used to stay for many years declined on the cat. So we needed to find a new hotel ASAP, the Redbury was one of the few pet friendly locations. Little did we know what treat we would get when we arrived. Both my wife and I have spend many […] years traveling for business and pleasure and up till now the best place we found that could come close was on our last trip to Venice Italy. As a builder and designer the rooms are very well "crafted" nice decor and choice of furniture. Great lighting lay out and the rooms feel very warm even being lofty and spacious. The staff is incredible in their effort to accommodate and Cleos was our favorite place to dine a true culinary journey and so convenient!
