When arriving at the hotel I was fearfull of what i had booked. The reception area could do with updating and the lift was out of order. The room however was great. Very big, modern and comfortable bed. The internet wouldnt work properly on either of my devices but this may be different on the day. There are two places to eat within the hotel but are […] from the same kitchen. I was disappointed with the food as it looked great on the menu but when it arrived i felt i could have cooked better myself and although it was edible it was quite plain. I would definately stay again just because of the high standard of the room. Mehr

My wife and I stayed here for one night and were very happy with Smokies Park. Check-in was friendly and efficient. The room was a very good size for two people. It was tastefully (and probably recently) decorated and was clean throughout. There were a few spots on the carpet but this is only to be expected in a well-used hotel. The only down side was […] the heat of the room. There was no temperature control and, being on the ground floor, we were unwilling to sleep with the windows open, both from a security point of view and because of the traffic noise from the main road directly outside our window. To be fair to Best Western, it was early August and probably a bit too much to expect air conditioning in a 3 star hotel. The bed was super-king size (6ft wide) and very comfortable, though the duvet was far too warm for such a hot room. I guess we could have asked for something lighter but it wasn’t worth it for a one-night stay. There was free parking all around the hotel though the car park was quite cramped for manoeuvring in and out of the spaces. The car park was busy but this was probably due to the fact that there was a wedding party going on in the main restaurant area when we arrived. On this subject, we didn’t hear any noise coming from the party at any time during the night which was a great relief. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the quality of the food or restaurant service. As a 3 star hotel it provided everything that we needed and for a reasonable price. Well established and refurbished hotel, good standards all round, My one night stay marred only by bad nights sleep due to " king size bed " ( 2 single beds pushed together, but with "ever creeping" space between them, resulting in my hip wedged in the gap most of the night !, bloody uncomfortable !!!!!, Apart from that and the pair of used ladies panties […] left in the room by the previous guest, and the hairdrier not in the room ( 206 ) not working everything else fine. Only stayed here a couple of nights but would be happy to stay longer. Friendly staff on desk, decent freshly cooked breakfast in the morning, ample parking, clean and comfy room, and FREE WI-FI.

Only problem I had was with the room being absolutely roasting and no thermostat in it. This was quickly resolved with a move to another room just along the corridor. Evenining meal was good as was breakfast. Always good that they have sky sports in the bar when there is a game on.

Elektronisk nøgle skulle programeres næsten hver aften for at komme ind på værelse. En nat kom en fremmed mand ind, som tilsyneladende havde husket forkert og fået programeret mit værelsesnummer. Ikke betrykkende at man bare kunne gå i reception, og få programeret sin nøgle, som det passede en.
