Das Familienzimmer war sehr gut, groß genug für 4 Personen. Das Hallenbad ist zwar klein, aber für die Kinder eine tolle Abwechslung nach einem Kultur Tag. Eltern können in der Sauna und im Dampfbad entspannen. Sehr zentrale Lage, man kann alles zu Fuß machen. Spitzenmäßiges Frühstücksbuffet!! Ist auf jeden Fall den Preis wert.

Schönes, sauberes Hotel, hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet (!), freundliche Mitarbeiter - ein gelungener Aufenthalt in München. Besonders schön sind die großzügigen Suiten, so dass wir (2 Erw. und 3 Kinder) ausreichend Platz hatten und dennoch zusammen waren. Nicht ganz günstig, ich denke aber, dass ist das Münchner Niveau.

Der Aufenthalt war zufriedenstellend.Die Verkehrsanbindung ist sehr gut,leider kein kostenloser Hotelparkplatz ( 10€ ).Personal sehr nett und freundlich.

Die westlich der Altstadt gelegene Gegend um den Hauptbahnhof herum ist vollgepackt mit Hotels und Fußgängerzonen voller Geschäfte. Weiter nördlich befinden sich das Museumsviertel der Stadt, in dem die Alte und Neue Pinakothek, die Pinakothek der Moderne, die restaurierte Glypothek und das Antiquitätenmuseum untergebracht sind, sowie das Lenbachhaus, in dem das Werk des bayerischen Malers Franz von Lenbach ausgestellt ist.

Endlich mal eine Außnahme: KEIN Hotel mit tollen Eingangsbereich und mäßigem inneren, sondern eher unscheinbar von Außen, aber schön von Innen! Schönes Zimmer und freundliches Personal, sowie ein reichhaltiges Frühstück sorgen dafür, das die meisten Gäste (vermutlich) gerne wiederkommen!

Ein ansprechendes frisches Hotel, angenehme Größe, persönliche Note, schlicht, aber geschmackvoll und funktional eingerichtet. (Ein winziger Schrank würde das Glück perfekt machen.) "Zentral, klein und familienunfreundlich"
Das Hotel ist zwar sehr zentral gelegen, aber auch in einem eher heruntergekommenen Quartier. Leider hat sich der "Family-Room" als sehr spartanische Klause von rund 12m2 mit einem Doppelbett und zwei schmudeligen Matratzen für unsere 4-köpfige Familie herausgestellt. Ein vorgefundenes, gebrauchtes Papiernastuch, nur um ein Beispiel zu nennen, dürfte […] noch heute unter dem Bett liegen. Auf das Frühstück mussten wir teilweise eine halbe Stunde warten, weil der Frühstücksraum für die Grösse des Hotels zu klein konzipiert worden ist. Alles in allem ein Aufenthalt zum Vergessen. Mehr

"Königliches Frühstück"
Das Hotel wählten wir wegen den positiven Kundenbewertungen aus der langen Liste aus. Die ruhige, sichere, und trotzdem zentrale Lage, sowie ein gutes Frühstück - alles für einen vernünftigen Preis - waren die wichtigsten Kriterien für uns. Wir (4 Frauen auf Shoppingtour) waren positiv überrascht und fühlten uns in dem sehr großen Zimmer sehr wohl. […] Einzig die Geräusche von den anderen Zimmern waren am Abend etwas störend, in der Nacht war es aber wunderbar ruhig. Unser Zimmer befand sich in dem hinteren Haus. Das Hotel kann ich jede Familie empfehlen, für unternehmunslustige junge Leute kann es zu ruhig sen. Wir werden sicher zurückkehren. Mehr

"Gut gelegen - super Frühstück"
Das Hotel liegt sehr zentrumsnah. Sieht alles sehr frisch renoviert aus, alles sauber und die Nacht war absolut ruhig. Die Überraschung kam erst am Morgen - ein unbeschreiblich gutes Frühstück - sehr liebevoll zubereitet und eine Auswahl - damit haben wir nicht gerechnet - noch dafür für diesen Preis. Also absolut empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel liegt am Rand eines Viertels mit vorwiegend moslimischer Bevölkerung. Der Empfang und sämtliche Hotelangestellte waren freundlich, das Hotel ist sauber, die Zimmer, die Duschen, es gab keine Grund zur Beanstandung. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und sehr gut. In der Nacht war es ruhig, bei geschlossenen Fenstern hört man nichts. Man ist in 5 […] Minuten in der U-Bahn. Insgesamt würde ich dieses Hotel jedem empfehlen. Mehr

The room was spacious and very clean, the service is excellent and the location is just where you need to be to visit and enjoy Munich! They upgraded me to a deluxe room for free and the breakfast buffet is just amazing.. what else ?! Be back soon for the oktoberfest :-)
"Service was good, room was nice, no complaints"
The location was good as it was right between the oktoberfest fairgrounds and the marienplatz but the neighborhood was extremely difficult to find parking. The hotel does not provide a parking garage so you have to find a place on the street (very difficult) or find another garage. This was my only issue with the hotel.

"Hotel Andra"
An excellent hotel in its price range. Conveniently close to the central station but in a quiet area. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and English speaking. I thouroughly enjoyed that the bed was firmer than most hotel beds. Only criticsm is that since the room was so large, there was plenty of room for a comfy chair - so […] why wasn't there one? And an electric kettle for making tea or coffee would also have been nice. Mehr

"Very warm quiet place"
We visited the hotel on february 2012. The hotel crew is very helpul. The room was warm, clean. The bed was wide and comfortable. I reccommend for every one.
"Hotel Andra-price-worthy choice indeed"
My wife & I just spent 5 days for ISPO2012 at Hotel Andra, Munich last week. As other comments said, this is a small but clean & cosy hotel with pretty good breakfast. Only 5 mins to Mainstation by foot. Hotel staff are all nice and helpful. Strongly recommend and hopefully we will visit again soon.

In reference to the other reviews, I won't disagree that the walk between train station and hotel is a little strange at night...however, if you are traveling with people that won't matter. But it is very safe, just seems weird. All that aside, the hotel is so nice and the staff is superb. We got to know the staff pretty well and they were so kind and […] attended to everything we asked. We stayed there around the Christmas time, although they were closed 24,25,26th. (we traveled to another country during that time) I would stay at Hotel Andra again any time. There is also a pharmacy and grocery store within the same block, so that is nice too. surroundings as bad as you could image near the station, lousy entrance, things improve at the lobby (1st floor) and with the rooms. The hotel is in a good location - 3 blocks from the train station. The room was a nice size and was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was friendly and spoke English. I can't think of anything bad at all about Hotel Andra. I would definiely stay there again.

"Nice stay."
The staff was great! Very helpful. Asked if it was possible to get coffee at 4:30 am the morning we had to leave and it was no problem. Only negative is the neighborhood between the hotel and train station is a little seedy, but seemed safe enough with a buddy. Room was a nice size.

We stayed at the Andra during the opening of the annual Munich Christmas Market. The hotel location is a very SAFE 12 minute walk to the Karlsplatz and a few more minutes further to the Marienplatz. The staff at the hotel was super friendly and very helpful. We were very impressed with this hotel and would DEFINATELY recommend this hotel. Some reviews […] indicated that parking might be an issue - we did'nt find that to be the case. I found "on street" parking right in front of the hotel every day and that was only 6 Euros a day (opposed to the parking recommended on the hotel website of 13 Euros per day - which is a couple of blocks away). This hotel was well worth the money spent and is a good location to use as a "base of operations" when exploring Munich and the surrounding area. Mehr

"Hotel Andra-great for a stay in Munich"
One of the few negatives was the poor design of the shower. That being said however, my family and I loved our stay there and would certainly go back to stay there again. It is very close to both the train station and Oktoberfest grounds, and a reasonable walk to Marienplatz. Also, the complimentary breakfast out on the terrace was amazing.
the only positive things to mention are the lovely breakfast buffet and the mostly friendly staff. the rest I'd rather not comment on.....not comparable to hotels in the same price category within Munich or even close to central station
"Friendly convienient hotel"
Close to main station and only 10 minutes from Marien Platz.. Most expensve hotel of our German holiday, although couldn't really fault it. The breakfast was exscellent,a lthough a bit of a squeeze if it is raining and the outdoor area cannot be used. Family room had two decent beds.

This hotel was not in the best neighborhood. It was on a very busy and loud street. We were on the first floor and had trouble sleeping due to noise and cigarette smoke outside the room. While it was a short walk to the train station and city sights, I would have preferred a nicer, quieter neighborhood. The room was advertised as a triple, but the third […] bed was on the floor, jammed in between the bed and closet. It was very hot with no A/C nor fan. The staff was courteous, though, and breakfast was great. Mehr

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable (but a little too warm), the breakfast was fantastic and the location was great, the surrounding neighbourhood does not look the best but is perfectly safe. "Great small hotel in Munich"
We really enjoyed our one night at this hotel - spacious room which accommodated 2 adults and 2 kids - the breakfast was good (there's a lovely courtyard in the middle of this hotel to sit outside). I'd highly recommend.

"Good for the Price"
Overall, this hotel was good for the price. The room was a little dirty, and there were some casinos and other night-life establishments nearby. But the hotel was in a great location: just a short walk from the Hauptbanhof and also pretty close to many of Munich's attractions, like Asamkirche and Frauenkirche.

This hotel was a great stay and a great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was spectacular. We had a "family room" for 4 people and it was a perfect value, close to the Hauptbanhof, clean, and comfortable.

"May try to deny you a room after booking"
The hotel is in a nice location (Muslim neighborhood, I believe) and was a nice room with a lovely terrace area for outdoor breakfast. The main issue that I had was that I had booked and paid for the room over a month in advance and when I arrived with my 68 year old father after pulling our luggage from the train station, I was told that they did not […] have a room for us! They said there was a trainee error and that they were now full. They had booked a room at another (lesser) hotel much further away from our desired location that did not serve breakfast and said they would pay for it and for a taxi to get there. I had to really stand my ground and it came to threatening to call the police before a vacant room was suddenly available and they said they would have to bump other guests. As they should have! "Hotel Andra- perfect for what we needed!"
The hotel was so easy to find, and it was fabulous that we could walk there from the main train station and didn't have to rent a taxi, as those are quite expensive in Munich. We arrived there quite early in the morning from an overnight flight from the US and were exhausted. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful, even though check in wasn't supposed […] to be until later in the afternoon, they rearranged some rooms and found us a great one to move into. And I loved the pillows! As a general rule, I don't trust hotel pillows so I brought my own just in case I wasn't pleased, and I'm happy to say I didn't need it. The hotel wasn't too far from the Marienplatz so it made for a nice stroll. We took several day trips to the surrounding areas that left from the hauptbahnhof (central train station) so it was a perfect location for what we needed! We stayed during the end of May so the weather was perfect and our room stayed a perfect temperature by leaving the windows open. The only downside that I could find was that it might not be so enjoyable in the dead of summer as there was no air conditioning that I could find. Mehr
