We found that walking everywhere was great from HFC. It was 5 mins to Orchard Rd and the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. Walking up the front steps every trip back to the hotel was also good after pigging out on food! Minor issue in the room (power outage) was attended to immediately and resolved within 10mins. Staff very helpfull , rooms lovely although view not as I had imagined seeing as we booked the most expensive room . Poolside loungers looked tired. Breakfast adequate but the same options daily , by the fourth day bit bored of menu.

From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, the staff, service, everything about the hotel was more awesome than we could have imagined. Staff bent over backwards to make our stay special. The hotel restaurant is also a wonderful place to eat...even compared to the dozens of places we chose for meals all around Singapore. Their Spicy […] pepperoni pizza was to die for. Make sure to spend time in Fort Canning Park, itself. It is an important component of Singapore's history, and a beautiful place to learn about local flora, fauna...even an archaeological dig! It is also a great place to jog, and see the city from a higher vantage point. We will definitely stay at HFC next time we visit Singapore. Mehr

Bad points: -Not easy to get to HFC if u are gg by bus/mrt. Got to cut thru Park Mall carpark n climb uphill to get to hotel. Long wait at reception as staff were slow n only 2 counters.Late check in.i requested for early chk in at 12nn but only got my room at 230pm!which was 30mins later than the usual chk in time 2pm. wanted late chk out but hotel […] could only offer till 1230pm. -breakfast at glass house was not great and limited variety. Staff didnt serve coffee until we personally request after 20mins. Good points - i stayed in premium room n it is beautiful with spacious bathroom! Clean n comfortable place. Got to view the in room movies for free too. -love the facilities available (big gym,2 pools,sauna )n wasn't too crowded - hotel staff are generally polite Mehr

We stayed there for our honeymoon and were extremely happy with room and service. Beautifully decorated. T.V. didn't work but service desk sent someone right away to fix it. Highly recommend.

We stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights in mid January. The reception was a bit slow when we arrived,, probably due to short staff because of the Chinese New Year. I like the location even though it's not as convenient as many others that we've stayed in before in Orchard Rd. I love the fact that it is right next to the park. so beautiful and peaceful. […] perfect place to relax after a day of heat and rushing around - the pools and gym are super. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are clean, modern, high tech and minimalist - I really like it. Will definitely stay there again. Mehr

Such a great hotel - staff always helpful and friendly, rooms just beautiful and so clean, and great pools and surrounding grounds. The room even had a nespresso machine for the coffee addicts amongst us!

We loved Hotel Fort Canning, the setting, the staff, the room, the food were all fantastic. We loved the complementary afternoon drinks & canepes, what a nice touch. The only complaint we have, is that we couldn't have stayed longer. We hope to return sometime.

Absolutely brilliant hotel in every way. My wife & I spent 5 wonderful nights there over Christmas, and it was one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the world. Beautifully appointed in a peaceful park yet within 10 -15 minutes of the city centre attactions and two MRT stations and buses. I took a punt on this hotel as it is fairly new (used to be a club) and looked very nice on the website. Given the heritage of the building, the rooms are beautifully appointed. Each with Nespresso - lovely - and electronic lighting and blinds etc. There were a few mishaps... the wardrobe door came off it's coasters and one of the blinds was wonky, […] but the bathroom and bedroom were lovely. The one factor that let's the hotel down is service. While adequate, the staff were just that, adequate. I expect more than smiles in a 5-star hotel and often I had to go looking for a concierge; knowledge and explanation of directions were shady, and staff were scarce. The pluses were that the Art Museum is in he park and is literally a two-minute walk, the park itself is gorgeous and Orchard Road is a good ten-minute stroll but you find yourself at it's end and can walk it's length. Easy. In closing, a lovely spot, no bustle in this hotel but you're only a stones throw away from shopping and cabs are cheap. Mehr

We spent five nights at the Hotel Fort canning over Christmas. from the moment we arrived, we received excellent personal service from all the staff. The location, in Fort Canning Park, is great - close enough to walk to Dhoby Gaut MRT station and Orchard Road shops (about 10 minutes), and Clark Quay (about 15 minutes). We walked alomst everywhere, […] including Marina Bay. The room was beautiful and we liked the separate sitting room in what was originally the verandah of the first floor of the former British administration building. We liked the free champagne and canapes each evening, and the buffet breakfast and Christmas brunch were very good. The food in the Glasshouse restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Singapore. Mehr

The hotel sits in the middle of a very large park so it is very quiet and relaxing, yet still only a 5 minute walk to the subway and orchard rd. The room was good sized with very high ceilings (20ft) and nice views of the park out a very large window. Downsides are they didn't seem to have a concierge so visitors may have to fend a bit more for themselves. […] Also the in-hotel bars / restaurants were nothing to write home about. Mehr

We recently stayed with friends in 2 rooms at Fort Canning hotel. we were very pleased with the hotel and service overall but minor points detracted from this stay- like no shaving/makeup mirror over the sink The room was spacious and well appointed with Nespresso coffee making machines and a beautiful bath seperate shower etc . The bed was extremely […] comfortable and the amenities very well appointed Breakfast (full) along with evening drinks were included in the rate adding a nice touch to each day . Housekeeping was extremely prompt with any request made as were all the staff located in Canning park - it offered easy access to the local MRT, Orchard Road, Clarke Quay etc and everything else was only a short taxi ride away the only down side in service was experienced when having a drink in the hotel lobby bar ( seperatr to hotel) were the service was arrogant and left a lot to be desired Overall we loved our stay and would gladly recommend it to others Mehr

Excellent in everyway

The quality of appliances (television & mini-fridge) was atrocious. It took half a minute to change the channel on the television, attempts at channel surfing (despite the limited channels; no kids channels at all) ended in frustration. The mini-fridge was over-heated in the in-built cabinet and was too hot for comfort, considering just opening & closing. We […] had stuff that needed to be chilled so we left them in the fridge. When the housekeeper came to replenish the mini-bar, he removed our items from the fridge and left them on the table (even though we were in the room at the time). At one instance when our little girl was having her nap, another housekeeping staff ring the doorbell five times within half minute it took for us to get to the door just to be asked if we needed a turn down service. When I politely declined and explained that my child was a light sleeper, a phone call was made (loud ringing tone) a few minutes later to enquire why we did not need the turn down service. Needless to say, our little girl was stirred from her sleep over all that and eventually woke up, having slept less than 20 minutes. Upon check-in, we found that the floor, especially at the corners, were dusty and not well-cleaned. Moreover, we had to move two pieces of furniture and when we did so found that the areas below the furniture was extremely dusty and probably never been cleaned. The room did not come cheap though a friend who stayed at the suite (which cost a lot more) during the same period had no complains. I must also qualify that the front desk staff were generally pleasant and helpful. We will think twice about patronizing the establishment again. Mehr

For the second time this year I have spent another few days at the quietest hotel in Singapore. Where better than on top of the hill surrounded by what seems like a botanical garden. I wrote a review last time and there is nothing more to say apart from "This is the place to stay!!!" Only $23 from the airport by taxi and not far to the city at all.

Absolutely delightful place to stay. They lack a true consierge. The desk clerks were very kind and helpful but not as knowledgeable as you would expect in a first class hotel in a large city. But the location is so good that once you figure things out everything was fine. The pools were perfect and the rooms are beyond description--extremely comfortable […] and beautifully designed. Mehr

My husband and I recently returned from our week-long honeymoon at Hotel Fort Canning, and we loved every minute of it!! This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The location, in Fort Canning Park, was quiet and peaceful, but still centrally located to major areas of Singapore. We walked most places, and took the MRT anywhere else. Dhoby Ghaut […] station is a 5 minute walk through the pedestrian underpass and across the street. Clarke Quay area is about a 10 minute walk through the park. City Hall area is also about a 10 minute walk through the other side of the park. Orchard Road area is two stops away on the MRT. Walking through the park is a great experience as well. It is well-marked and well-lit. There are walking trails for Ancient History and Colonial History that guide you through historical events and artifacts in the park. We enjoyed touring The Battle Box (WWII bunker), which is just up the stairs from the hotel entrance. I suggest going to The Battle Box visitor's center on your first day and grabbing a map of the park to orient yourself. The hotel itself is beautiful. As a previous British Command headquarters, the building has history and character, yet the rooms have all the modern amenities and comforts. We had a Premium Luxe room, and we very much enjoyed our separate sitting area with a view of the park. The marble bathroom was great, as was the large shower with monsoon showerhead. We spent time everyday at the two wonderfully landscaped, mineral water pools. As a boutique hotel, there are fewer guests, and there were no more than 6 other people in the pool area at any time. You can also order drinks and food from The Glass House bar to be served at the pool area. Our package included breakfast at The Glass House each morning, and I would highly recommend it. The buffet is a mix of Western and Eastern hot and cold foods. There is also a egg & pancake station that includes made to order omelets. We ate at The Glass House for dinner one nig Mehr

Fort Canning is a rare find, my wife and I stayed for five days and will certainly visit again. Emagine on top of the only hill in Singapore is the botanical gardens of Singapore and set in amongst all that is the newly created Fort Canning Hotel built inside the 1926 British Army headquarters, what a magnificent job including superb swimming pools […] Gym buffet breakfasts and the glasshouse restaurant, same building as breakfast serves great local food at very reasonable prices. A real bonus is from 6-8pm complimentary wines and champagne plus canapes which sets one up for dinner beautifully, there is also an Italian restaurant on site also which we didnt sample as the glasshouse was our choice for every evening meal!! Walk out of the hotel and up the path and there is a big staircase down the hill to Clarke Quay without the need for a taxi. The quality of the management and staff is exceptional, value for money cannot be questioned and the quietest hotel with no traffic noise. Will be highly reccomended by us when we return to Tasmania, Australia, our sixth visit to Singapore. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Fort Canning during my recent stay in Singapore. The room was very nice and comfortable with all the new facilities like complimentary broadband and wireless Internet,HD TV screens with satellite/cable TV,iPod docking station,electronic safe, Nespresso coffee and TWG tea, Monsoon rainshower & bath tub with amenities by […] THANN, swimming pool, gym and spa. The buffet breakfast serves both Asian and Western cuisine, free wine, juices and snacks during happy hours. They have different restaurants to choose. I am definitely going to recommend this hotel to others and I wish they won't raise their price and have more discount during the low season so I can go back again. Mehr

What a special night we had at this lovely hotel.

Hotel Fort Canning is in a beautifully restored building, but seemed that some of the building's finishing touches were not quite there yet (but in progress). I stayed for 5 days in early May 2011 and had a wonderful time. The service was at a 5 star level and the location is unbeatable! 緑あふれる公園の中にある比較的小規模なホテルで、居心地良いホテルでした。部屋はゴージャスな雰囲気(最もグレードの高い設定だったせいかもしれませんが）で、プールも20m程度の長さのものもあり、しっかり泳ぐこともできました。総合的に、満足度高かったですが、あえて気になったところは、①場所が最初わかりにくい、丘の上なので荷物もって歩いていくのが少し大変　②一階でプールエリアと接しているというせいかもしれませんが、アリ群れが部屋の中に入ってきて気になった。というところです。シティエリアなどの、大箱系のゴージャスホテルとは趣が異なりますが、ゆったりしたいのであればおすすめです。

Hotellet var en nytelse og servicen var fantastisk. Rommene var flotte. Frokosten var meget god, en fantastisk start på dagen. 10 minutter gange til Orchad Road er behagelig. Kort avstand til underground. Anbefaler hotellet på det varmeste, her finnes både basseng og spa. Enjoy...

这里远离都市，非常宁静！设备先进。总体感觉就是舒服～

Herlig hotell med luksus i alle ledd. Kan virkelig anbefals for alle. God service og veldig fine rom! Likte spesielt det åpne badet med badekar i tillegg til nespressomaskinen på rommet. Vi var veldig fornøyde!!
