Girls trip for a night! Excellent place to stay. Staff was amazing. It is a little dark in the rooms so putting on makeup can be a challenge.The bathroom was huge and beautiful. Have stayed many places in NYC and this hotel was the best! Would definitely go back and hopefully soon.

I looked up places to stay in New York for New Years. It was a pretty last minute booking, but I got it. The hotel is right around the corner from Times Square which was the perfect location. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.

The hotel staff was great with their customer service. The rooms are well kept and extremely clean. The superior king was a bit tiny and similar to most NYC rooms in size. Overall a pleasant stay.

This is a really nice hotel situated between 6th & 7th Avenue close to Times Square. Ideal for shopping, restaurants and the theatre. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived. The location can't be beat! Just steps from Times Square yet on a relatively quiet street. The restaurant suggestions from the concierge we spot on. Pierre and Juan were great and helped us make the most of our four days in NY. Next time we are in NY we will be staying at the Chatwal!

My wife and I are very experienced travelers. The Chatwal is a true gem. The art deco motif has been meticulously brought back to brand new condition.The staff is extremely attentive and professional. We have made a pact to return to the Chatwal annually for a couple of shows, and a little getaway. The location is ideal for our purposes.

Chose The Chatwal as a surprise 50th birthday for my wife (feb 2012). From the moment we arrived to our departure, we were absolutely delighted with our stay. Staff were very attentive, always friendly and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. An absolute treat and a must for art deco lovers.

Exceptional quality of staff and facility overall with the exception of front desk personnel, only two in particular, who had an aloof, entitled attitude, feeling somehow that they were the guest, rather than I. Everyone else was as warm and friendly (and helpful) as possible. Room was small, but quiet, beautifully appointed and very comfortable, except […] for lack of bath tub and no counter space near sink, even though there was room for a glass shelf or two. All day room service menu was "quirky" and inadequate, considering that many guests would be arriving at odd times after flying on a "red eye" flight. Menu should have contained more "something for everyone" and "comfort food" rather than the obscure handful of offerings listed. Loved the chatwal. Beautifully appointed hotel only half a block from times square. Room was luxurious and amazingly quiet considering the location. Staff polite and helpful. Only critism was lack of a truly hot plunge pool in the spa, shame in winter but minor detail overall. My wife and I stayed at the Chatwall October 2011 for three nights. I was in New York for business, my wife came along for fun. The hotel is now part of the Westin group but you will never know it from their faciliites or employees - they are BETTER than you would expect from most national chains. Positive: Gorgeous hotel. Hotel is stunning and has all the extras which made for a very comfortable and luxurious stay. The staff were always pleasant and very helpful. We truly felt spoiled for the 4 nights we stayed there. I'm not going to lie, the cost of this hotel was offputting at first, I'm not traditionally much of a traveler and not typically one to spring for luxury but in this case it really was worth it. From the moment I came in the door I received 5 star service. From the remote controlled toilets, to the tv in the bathroom mirror, the amenities were lavish, […] but what really shined were the staff. 24 hour room service, exceptional response time, butler service (ironed my clothes for me), each person i came in contact with was beyond pleasant and eager to make sure i had an excellent stay. We all know how painful it is to pay a lot for something and then get bad service, we tell all our friends and complain to strangers, so in this instance where I had a great experience I feel compelled to share. If you can afford the cost and you're looking to treat yourself, this is the place to do it. I didn't even get a chance to check out the spa or the restaurant but I will be back! I spent the second night of my stay in a cheaper hotel by the airport and regretted every minute, if i added the taxi fare to the cost of that hotel i didn't really save that much and i spent the night in a dingy room wishing i was back at The Chatwal....definitely a lesson learned. My advice is book early to get a great rate and experience this heaven of hotels for yourself. Mehr

My sisters and I loved this hotel. The quality of the hotel and service provided by all members of staff were exceptional. The only downside is that they did not have any orthopaedic pillows and that although we had a private butler, whenever we called there would be no answer. We stayed at the Chatwal New York Hotel for only one night, but found it wonderful in many ways. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful & polite. The restaurant and bar are delightful. The Room was soooo Small, that with a suitcase in the room, you had to climb over the bed to get to the window as there was no space left to walk through the room. No plugs near the bed for the mobile phone. Spectacular bathroom with nice amenities. Rude doorman.

Rather expensive hotel. Everything is new and very fancy. We travelled with 2 teenage kids. The room was far to small for 4 persons. Light, aircon and drapes is all controlled from one panel. Nice bathroom, but the sink was not very comfortable. There was no space for toilet bags and water was everywhere after use. The good thing was i was cleaned twice […] a day. Great location close to everything. As mentioned the staff really did everything to make you feel wellcome. But we were a little dissapointed at the check out. we had ask them to order a cap in advance, which they had confirmed, but the car wasn't there when we were ready to leave. Instead they tried to sell us the private hotel car, which cost wice as much as a yellow cap. Mehr

2012年8月に1泊しました。SPGでも最高ランクに位置するだけあって、値段相応に素晴らしいホテルでした。宿泊した部屋は黒を基調としたスタイリッシュなデザインで、若者向けという感じです。ご年配の方は落ち着かないかもしれません。バスタブはありませんでしたが、シャワーブース設備が充実し、トイレもウォッシュレット。設備面で文句ありませんでした。 場所も、タイムズスクエアすぐ傍の立地で、NY観光にもってこいです。 若い方中心にお勧めします!!
