Won’t recommend the Hotel Quentin Arrive in Amsterdam to anyone. Unreasonable price against room size and condition. Share extremely small toilet which is about 2’ x 3’, your knee will touch the door when closed; no shower room; no elevator, have to carry suitcase of 23kg upstairs to the 4th floor, staircases are narrow, winding and steep. It does exactly what it says on the tin really, provides some beds with decent security (nothing of ours got stolen in the 6 days we were there) pretty much in the heart of Amsterdam. A very convenient hotel for a very affordable price. Would definitely recommend it.

5 mins from Central Station this is a good base for backpackers and others who are happy with basic accommodation. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly and I did not find it noisy. On the down side the stairs will keep you fit and my w.c/shower were shared but clean. I considered it good value for Amsterdam which is not the cheapest of places […] . Mehr

I really enjoyed this hotel! It was perfectly located, it's a few minutes from Amsterdam Centraal and like a 3 minute walk to the Red Light District. There is a FANTASTIC little store/restaurant up the road called Fresh Daily. It was delicious and we ate at it every day. I would recommend spending the extra money on getting a room with a bathroom/shower, […] it's worth it. Our room was very clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was very kind. I had read that the staff allow smoking in this hotel, but that was not my experience. It didn't smell like marijuana at all, for those who might be turned off by the smell. Next time I go to Amsterdam, I will absolutely stay here again. Mehr

It's situated very central and there are many restaurants, coffeeshops and strores around, only a 5-10 min walk from the central station. The stuff was friendly. The room was as small as expected, but that didn't bother me. There was a TV, a wash basin, a chair and a table. Since I was first floor I had Internet access. In the lobby there is always […] WiFi, but when you are in the room it depends on the distance to the lobby. The breakfast was very basic (toast, cheese, sausage, cereals, muesli, yogurt, juice,...). I had shared bathroom and shower, there was only one for each floor, but they were clean. I can recommend this hotel and for my next stay I would go there again. Mehr

This hotel was the perfect hotel for my boyfriend and I on our few days in Amsterdam. It's in a great neighborhood with a ton going on and much of it in walking distance. There were even several coffeeshops and cool bars right on our street. It had the feel of a hostel because people seemed friendly and the bathrooms and showers were shared, but there […] was a sink in the room and the room also had the huge windows that open outwards like on many european buildings, which I loved. The people at the front desk were very helpful and also fun to be around. The common area right where you walk into the hotel is gorgeous, which big leather couches, distressed wood coffee tables, funky wallpaper, and fancy chandeliers. Perfect if you're on a budget and want to explore probably the coolest neighborhood in Amsterdam. It's also walking distance from Centraal Station, where all the subways/trains leave from. Mehr

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location was very good. Other than that, was well over-priced for its conditions. We were very unhappy with the steep & very narrow staircase, warped floor in the bedroom, and the condition of the beds. The room was very small, but that could have been overlooked had it been in better condition. The floor under […] the carpet felt like it was about to collapse underneath. Very helpful staff, central location, but on the edge of the red light district, so the pervasive odor of cannabis was everywhere in the area. Very steep stairs so not good for access challenged individuals, but otherwise a good spot to stay. Comfortable lounge area, and they make a great cappuccino in the bar. Was given a room on the 5th floor, and then I realized it did not have a shower room, so I had to go down 2 levels down to get a shower because the shower in the 4th floor was broken (you had to hold the shower head) ... location is great

The hotel very well located. The rooms are small. Smoking is tolerated at the hotel so there are several tenants who smoked pot at in their rooms. Result: there was a strong smell at the corridors. Our room was next to the shared bathroom which on the one hand was handy because we could access it easily but on the other hand not very convenient because […] we could hear the door slams all night long. The entrance of the hotel is refurbished recently but the rooms do not seem refurbished. Last but least the matress was way too soft. It was OK for an evening but I would not recommend it for a longer stay and I would not recommend it to people who are in Amsterdam for other reasons than partying. Mehr

Så här upplevde vi Quentin arrive hotell! Otrevlig bemötande av personalen var det första vi upplevde när vi kom in och skulle checka in. Hotellet saknade hiss så vi fick bära vår bagage upp till andra våningen. Rummet saknade egen dusch och toalett. Hotelpersonalen hade vekt överkastet och täcket och lagt de på sidan. Både täcket och handukarna hade […] gråa och röda fläckar, så vi undrade om de verkligen var rena. Det fanns inte hårtork, vattenkokare eller telefon i rummet. Fjärrkontrollen till tv:n fick vi låa av expeditionen när vi checkade in. Samma sak gällde brickor, talrikar och bestick som vi använde till frukosten. Glasen och bestick som vi fick var väldigt smutsiga och vi undrade om det verkligen hade diskats efter sista användningen. Vi märkte efteråt att personalen i receptionen diskade allt för hand. Stolen i matsalen var trasig och ostabil och höll på att gå sönder. Handtaget till toaletten var trasig och hoppde ut varje gång man försökte stänga dörren. Vi hade ingen bra bild på den lilla tv:n om fanns i rummet. Rummet städades inte och handdukar byttes inte. Det var spindelnät eller damm på taket ovanför handfatet. Vi rekommenderar verkligen inte det här hotellet till Er. Mehr

Hôtel très bien placé proche de tout, mais confort minimum, idéal pour un séjour entre amis, à éviter pour couple ou famille, moquette douteuse, isolation quasi inexistante, réception aimable (quand elle a le temps)...

Hotellet ligger väldigt centralt, nära till shopping, centralstationen m.m. Det finns restauranger och andra cafeer överallt i kvarteren runt hotellet. Personalen på hotellet var otroligt hjälpsam med vägbeskrivningar, praktiska saker och de gav förslag på olika sevärdheter när vi frågade. Jag rekommenderar verkligen att betala några extra hundralappar […] för att få frukost på morgonen, den var riktigt bra. Detta förutsätter ju dock att man vill gå upp på morgonen, så vill man sova lite längre är det bättre att äta ute på stan. Det enda negativa var att väggarna var väldigt tunna så man hörde ALLA ljud (både från gatan och de andra rummen), så ta med öronproppar! Mehr

We stayed for 2 nights at the 4th floor. That room was very quiet altough the window was a little bit broken. Decoration was very basic and the walls were allmost like in prison, but beds, pillows and blankets were nice and soft. The room had everything we needed and expected. There was no elevator in the hotel and no breafast either. I wouldn't succest […] this hotel to eldery persons who like to have some peace, quiet and privacy. But if shared toilet and shower is no problem to you, you want your hotel to have good location in the city center and do not want to spend too much time in the hotel, just sleep and go, this is the choise! Stay away from the top floor, does not have showers, and only a tiny toilete. The rooms are okei, I have experienced worse, in Africa.. We got this "hotel" due to the location, but was a bit disapointed. The staff is not interrested in their guests it seems. And the hotel runs a early checkout that is impossible to change, even thoug they said it was […] okei on arrivaldate. The nextdoor neighbour is a coffeshop, so if your a smoker its a short distance, I am not. Mehr

Hotellet ligger i et godt kvarter, ikke langt fra Central Station. Det er billigt, men standarden er også derefter, så man får hvad man betaler for. Værelserne er ikke noget særligt - der var kun lige plads til en dårlig seng og et lille skab, så brug kun hotellet til overnatning, og ikke til at hænge ud i. Det fælles bad og toilet, som var slidt men […] rent, delte vi med 4 andre værelser, hvilket fungerede fint. Der findes en skøn delikatesseforretning med lækre grønsager, brød, oste og kød lige i nærheden. Venlig reception, som gerne kommer med anbefalinger til gode spisesteder, seværdigheder o.lign. Mehr

Det är ett perfekt tak över huvudet för den som inte vill tillbringa dagarna på hotellet. Sängarna var mycket sköna och rummen hade det som jag behövde. Mycket bra budget hotell.

The hotel located quite near to the central station and it is quite easy to find. The room is clean, just a bit small. Luckily I have booked the room with private bathroom or else we may have to wait for a long time, because it seems that there is only one toilet and one bathroom on that floor. Ingen heis, felles toalett/dusj(for få pr rom). Rent sengetøy/håndklær, hyggelig betjening, helt ok frokost. Meget lave priser og beliggende midt i smørøyet i en shopping-gate, 5 min gange fra red light.

Attention clientèle ciblée, et confort très rudimentaire ! L'entrée nous laisse penser que les chambres seront sympathiques, l'hôtel est situé dans le centre. A notre arrivée, la personne qui s'occupe de l'acceuil, nous propose de visiter les chambres, car celle-ci pense que les chambres ne nous plairont pas. Nous visitons donc... En effet, lits basiques […] comme à l'armé, pas de couvre lit qui peut apporter un peu de gaieté, une armoire un lavabo... Mais où sont la salle de bain et les WC ?? Nous étions au 4é étage (sans ascenseur) nous avons des toilettes au bout du couloir, attention ne pas être trop grand, car la porte touche presque la cuvette et la sdb se trouve au 3é étage... une simple douche. Nous nous posons forcément la question, pourquoi cette dame ne veux pas nous louer sa chambre ! nous ne savons pas.. Nous décidons donc de rester, car ce n'était juste que pour une nuit ... L'hôtelière semblait ennuyée... Nous n'avions pas envie de passer notre journée à chercher un autre hôtel, même si la dame nous proposait sont aide, un peu bizzard quand même... Souhaitait-elle juste nous offrir un meilleur confort, ou nous arnaquer ??? la question reste sans réponse. Nous avons finalement plutôt pas trop mal dormi, et nous avons passé très peu de temps dans l'hotêl, donc supportable. Impression globale, auberge de jeunesse parfaite pour les jeunes fêtards souhaitant tester les coffee-shop, déconseillé pour plusieurs nuits, et déconseillé avec de petits enfants Il faut quand même noter que les parties communes sont nettoyées régulièrement. In french language -Haarlemmerstraast est situé près de la gare juste sur la droite en sortant de la station:pas loin coté pratique 5 minutes chrono. Haarlemmerstraast est une rue vivante pour les heures de sortie de boulot hollandais ou PUB ,coffée,shop vinyl ,shop surf / squate, restauration facile se rejoignent . -Les nuits sont tranquile a Quentin […] Arrive . -Seul 2 petites critiques: les fenetres sont en mauvaise état pour l'été ca va mais l'hiver ;2éme petites critiques :il y avait qu'une seul prise de courant électrique. -Les sanitaires commun sont propre. -En conclusion l'hotel est agréable le personnel a disposition très peut loin des transports et du centre névralgique la station donc de toutes les directions pour les marcheurs ou les cyclistes en quète de visites. Jeg var usikker på om dette var hotellet for meg og to kompiser, men vi tok sjansen. Og angret ikke. Standaren er meget enkel, rommene har seng og klesskap, og felles bad på gangen. Resepsjonen var hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Alt du trenger for enkel overnatting. Det var billig, og beliggenheten var suveren. Hvis du ikke legger forventningene for høyt, […] vil du bli meget fornøyd. O quarto e o banheiro são bem limpos (na medida do possível, considerando que o banheiro é coletivo!!) e os funcionários bastante atenciosos.

Me gustaria que la ubicacion del hotel es muy buena ya que llegas caminando se Centraal Station pero el personal no es nada amable, desde que llegas te tratan muy cortantes, me dijeron que no habia pagado la habitacion y pensé que era una broma y me contestaron muy groseros que no era broma que les pagara y pues mientras buscaba la confirmacion de mi […] pago se dieron cuenta de que si estaba pagado y nisiquiera me pidieron una disculpa por como me habian tratado. Nunca sirvió el internet, el ruido de las calles no te dejan dormir y hasta la ventana de mi cuarto tenia tremendo hoyo que solo taparon con un papel, para nada lo recomiendo. Mehr

If you're short of money, but would like to visit Amsterdam for some days, this is a good alternative! Bring something to put in your ears at night, it's youngsters partying outside and a lot of motorcykles, but you'll survive. Short way to the railway station, quite practical. You share a bathroom, but that will not kill you.
