Convenient to the highway, cleanliness was fine, pillows actually good, rate a bargain. The only complaint would be that you could still hear some road noise, even though the motel is high on a hill above the highway.

THIS WAS OUR 2ND TIME THERE AND WE WERE PLEASED AGAIN. EVERYTHING WAS NICE AND CLEAN AND THE OWNERS ARE ALWAYS NICE. WE LOVE THEIR WAFFLES FOR BREAKFAST. WE WILL BE COMING BACK IN MAY AND WE WILL STAY THERE AGAIN!

Checked in And checked right back out, room had 3 doors that lead into our room And only locked with a chain lock, 2 towels for 4 ppl, no shampoo, no cable TV, looked like it was never vacuumed! Tried to get some $$ back cause we didn't stay but they said no cause third party booking, NEVER STAY THERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY

The cops were at the bottom of the hill when we pulled in, so that should have been a clue about the neighborhood. The bed was horrible. We would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. We stopped off on a trip through. We arrived at 2:00 in the morning after traveling but was no problem getting checked in. The room were spacious and bed comfortable. The breakfast was horrid -- bad coffee, no fruit in sight and had to get milk and "Sunny D" out of the fridge in giant containers... Had to wash out and reuse the waffle plastic cup. The bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Pool was up and going. An older hotel in need of some care, but reasonably priced and close to the highway.

It's not a good sign when you cannot find your selected hotel in the yellow pages. The price was good, but then discovered why. Had large beetle like bug on the pillow, evidently under the covers. Loud, scary guys getting in fights in the hallway and parking lots until 4 AM, beds as hard as rocks and a fridge that wouldn't stop making a loud ticking noise. Also, there is one way in and one way out through a weird basement area and the balcony is blocked off so you can't get to the second floor. I think the hotel is long over due for some rehab. Non smoking room still reeked of old stale cigarettes in the blankets, couch, and walls. Adequate for an overnight stay but the place has seen it's better days. The room was clean and was not maloderous. It had a sofa, table, older TV, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. SECURITY ALERT!!! This much older hotel's drapes don't fit the windows completely. as a result you could see in the room completely and the position of the mirror on the wall allows you to see everywhere in the room. I was pleasantly surprised! The room was huge, and it was clean. It's not the Plaza! The other guests were not a bunch of drunken yahoos and I felt very safe staying there. Great quick spot to stay on your way to Gatlinburg!

The Travel Inn appears to cater to a lot of construction people, not a problem for us, but perhaps for others, with trucks going in and out at all hours. We are used to traveling with our dogs and this is the first time in our history (49 years) we have ever had to pay ($5/night) to leave our dogs in the car. That's the biggest minus. My husband and I stayed here on our way to Gatlinburg for Thanksgiving and were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. They even had a light continental type breakfast in the lobby in the morning. We found this hotel by going online thru hotels.com We were able to park in front of our door and the […] parking lot had easy in and out access. This hotel is a very good value. The room was spacious and very clean. Non-smoking rooms smelt like non-smoking rooms! Only downside is the hotel is not in the most convenient location and parking in the front is limited. I would have been disappointed to have a room in the back of the facility because the lighting on that side was very limited.

i would only stay here again if under the same circumstances. We were too sleepy to go on. This is a motel that reflects the vacancies sign outside old school with internet. It was fine for what we wanted, but I wouldn't stay here by choice

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was a good spot. Lots of eateries nearby, major roads nearby and easy to get to, older motel and older outdated furniture yet comfortable bed. Tub drain was very slow to empty out and some black mildew on shower walls. Never used the breakfast area, so can't comment on it. After checking out and driving half way to B'ham […] I realized I left a cooler in the room. When I got home there was a message from the manager about finding the cooler and wanted to know what to do. It would have been more that the price of a new cooler to ship it to me, so I told him to give it to the person who found it. That's why I rated the service a 5. This motel is used by construction men as their "home" and you have to fight the big pickup trucks for a parking space, plus look at some seedy characters hanging outside the rooms. However, there was never any problem and it was surprisingly quiet. The room size was also a surprise...big. All-in-all, not a bad place to stay and I would stay there again. Mehr

We stayed here two nights in July 2011. The good: The staff responded quickly to requests regarding the phone not working and a hair dryer. The rooms are clean,and the location is convenient to I-75. The less good: The hotel is showing its age. Drop ceilings in the shower, odd lighting (the switch for the light above the bathroom mirror was across […] the room at the door), an electric iron mark seared on the carpet. The bad: A locked hotel lobby at 1:00 in the afternoon on a Friday (which is check-in time) made us worry about the security of the facility. Untidy grounds didn't help. Overall: It was clean and economical, and suited our purposes of a mere place to sleep. I would not stay there with children, and recommend it only for those with similar purposes. Mehr

When I rented this room online I couldn't see what it looked like. This place is run down and houses what I would consider transits. As soon as my wife got out of the car she was whistled at but two rednecks on the second floor. When I asked the manager for a refund he laughed and said those guys are just a little drunk. If you're having an affair with a married man, this place is fine but I would not reccommend it for a family. The carpet was filthy. The beds were thin and rickety and the bed spread had a cigarette hole in our NON-SMOKING room that smelled like smoke covered in old lady floral air freshener.

Checked in LATE at night while travelling North on I-75. Place was fine for a quick place to sleep before beginning my trip anew the following morning. Not sure if this is somewhere I'd stay on vacation, but it sufficed for a quick overnight.

Don't be fooled by the shabby exterior, which looks like it hasn't been touched since the 1960s. The owner here is SUPER nice and the rooms are immaculate and very comfortable! The free wireless internet is very fast, the pool is clean and has a very nice view. I loved my room. The bed was comfortable, it was beautifully made, sheets were spotless, […] there was a generously sized refrigerator (much bigger than the college dormitory type ones) with a microwave and coffee maker, all of which worked. For me personally, the best thing was having a real, live, BIG work desk in the room with an honest-to-goodness office chair. It's great, and a rarity in a budget hotel (or any hotel for that matter), to actually have a desk big enough to spread out all your work on. Despite being right at a busy intersection just off the interstate, the hotel was very quiet. I was there for a horse show, and a lot of the grooms were also staying there. They had a cookout in the parking lot one night but they were quiet and courteous. As a single, female, disabled person, I felt safe at this hotel. For a budget hotel in Cleveland, you really can't beat this one. I'm in Cleveland about once a year and I will be staying here again. Mehr

First when we arrived, they put us in the very back of the hotel with only one way in and out and around all the drunks. We were told that we they couldn't refund our money, we had to call hotel.com. Then we requested a another room and me being disable had to climb up 10 steps to the 2nd floor to a room with no hand rails in bathroom and toilet was […] messed up. The next day, we call hotels.com and they were ready to exchange our hotel but Travel inn wouldn't. The manager told us that he couldn't do anything for us. But he didn't realize that I was a minister and I was praying that God would change his mind. So the manager proceed to continue to say, "no" until he couldn't say "no" anymore and he moved us to a suite on the bottom level and it was much bigger and cleaner than the other room.
