Great Southern Hotel - Haymarket

Very good hotel for an affordable price.Close to most conveniences like Chinatown, Darling Harbour, Central station.The room was not overly big but sufficient and was neat and clean. Would stay there again.

Clean and in a great central location, but dont expect to see any service levels to go with those stars!

This would have to be the best value for money in the CBD. It is in a superb location handy to all transport. The staff are friendly and helpful. This hotel was in a great location-very handy for Central Station, where we were arriving. The staff were pleasant and helpful when we asked directions, and the hotel itself was fairly peaceful and actually quite calming during our stay. Our room was just as described on the internet, and it was nice and comfortable, if a little old fashioned. We actually […] liked the old decor! The room and bathroom were clean, and the towels were some of the softest and fluffiest I have ever experienced. All in all, this was a great hotel for the money we paid with our 'no housekeeping' deal, which suited us perfectly since we were badly jet lagged during our stay, so sleeping at all times of the day and night, with no interruptions from cleaning staff. Must be Sydneys best kept secret. We always return here even after trying other hotels occasionally. Comfortable, clean, convenient and friendly. Room is always available. Good food too.

The hotel itself is very nice and located in a very nice place (with a walking distance to Darling Harbour and very close to the railway station). But I was really disappointed when I was charged for Internet services at the end of my stay. The hotel staff had to make it clear that Internet costs 10 dollars per 2 hours, but they didn't do it. As I was […] sure that the internet was for free I used it without thinking about the limitations,in result, I was surprised to see the bill at the end of my stay. I consider such a policy unacceptable. The hotel must inform the customers about the price of the services in advance and transparently! Good location, price economical!

Entrance a little tired really nice staff. could do with porter to assist with luggage.near station and bus route.

Everything is ok and satisfactory except the check-out time of this hotel is10am. Seems bit early as most hotel has check-out time at 11am.

Pro: Good location, near China town and train station. about 20 min walk to Opera house, harbor bridge, Pyrmont Bridge and CBD. Con: Have to pay for Internet, no Wifi, charges $2 for storing luggage. Never cleaned the room during my stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just a few minutes walk to Central station made my stay in Sydney very easy. China town is right there and I walked to the main shopping area and Opera house, all very doable. The service in the hotel was good and my room very comfortable. Staff not very friendly or not around when you want some assistance. Very basic facilities in the hotel rooms, only had 1 breakfast there, rather poor variety and seating wasn't comfortable, were expected to sit in the cold passage way.

Good location. Just a few walk from Central station and make you the way to airport in just 30 mins. Budget restaurants downstairs. A good hotel for traveler just stay for 1 or 2 nights.

Having stayed at this hotel before I knew that the location was good being close to Central Station and Chinatown where you can always get good cheap food. Staff try hard to provide good service and the bar downstairs has decent pub food. The elevators can be slow to arrive but are not too bad. We will try and stay at this hotel all the time. Reasonably priced as we go to Sydney nearly every fortnight. Yes we will definately be staying there.

Central location provided the opportunity to walk to all key areas of the city. Enjoyed Chinatown and the Market at our back door. We enjoyed a hearty dinner at the hotel. Although the room is small the entire visit was pleasant and excellent value.

Old type hotel, but been refurbished in most areas. Food & drink were very good & reasonably priced, great location near to Darling Harbour, but bit dissapointed to have to pay $10 per day to use the gym! Would definitely stay again when in Sydney.

A pleasant hotel in a convenient location marred by the hotel charging $50 our credit card on departure for what is unknown after an impression of the credit card was taken on check in. This is proving difficult to contact the hotel about so beware of providing a credit card impression to this hotel.

ideally located a few minutes walk from Central railway station, saved us bringing along the car, hotel food was good, bar staff very friendly and jovial, convenient to all transport modes in the city, all in all it will be the hotel of our choice when we need to go to sydney.

位置很方便，許多景點用走路的都可以到，房間也很舒服，雖然一開始要收押金是我預料之外的，但還可以接受，最不滿意的是網路，價格很貴，且不是實際算上網時間，又限流量，流量很小，流量一超過網路速度會變慢。整體來說，如果沒上網需求，這是家很不錯的飯店。

シドニーのシティのホテルは割とどこも値段設定が高い所が多かったのですが、ここはセントラル駅からも近く、歩いてオペラハウスなどの観光地にも行けるので値段の割には便利です。 日本の中の下くらいのレベルのビジネスホテルって感じでしょうか。 新婚旅行などの大切な旅行にはお勧めしませんが、低予算でとりあえず、寝れてシャワーを浴びれてある程度清潔なホテルを求めるならお勧めます！！

地段不错，门口还有免费观光的555车可以坐，只是房间面积小了点，早餐每天都一样，没什么新意。不过床非常舒适，赞！
