"Thrilled with Hotel Blackhawk"
Super clean, beautiful room. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Perfect location as we spent the weekend at the Adler Theater for dance competition. Walking distance for everything we needed - so glad we chose the Blackhawk. Beignet Done That is fantastic and so convenient!

Very nice weekend. Walking distance to our daughters apartment. Son-in-law goes to Palmer. The room was beautiful,the bed was very comfortable. The rate was so reasonable. Couldn't have been any better. The greeters were always nice and friendly. Will stay again!

Everyone we encountered during our stay was extremely pleasant and helpful. From the front desk clerk to the bartender at the basement bowling alley, everyone greeted us and seemed genuinely happy to be at work. The hotel was clean and I love that they kept the original charm of the hotel, but were still able to incorporate upgrades into the rooms and […] common areas. The bar downstairs had fun drink specials and the room service rates were very reasonable. We were so happy to be able to grab a bite after a night out! The hotel is also close to the iWireless center and other local attractions. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others and will return myself! "Hotlel Blackhawk; Quad Cities"
We loved our stay there, but disliked that our room was not cleaned after the first night. This left us without towels for the next day, or shampoo or soap. I did not expect this from a 4-5 Star Hotel. Otherwise, we loved the Hotel! Great location, great amenities.

This is a grand hotel from the 1930's that has been completely re-done and they did a fabulous job! The lobby and atrium are beautiful and the rooms in the old hotel, while on the small side, are wonderfully appointed. What a pleasant surprise in downtown Davenport. Friendly staff and outstanding facilities--what is not to like?

I took my girlfriend there as a surprise. She is currently handicapped because of a scooter accident in mexico. Shawna at the front desk helped us out so much! Shawna got flowers in my room to surprise my girlfriend as well as upgraded our room to a spa room.It was an Amazing Stay!

The recent renovations were very impressive and we were thrilled with how "Hip" the hotel really was. Very trendy everything, multiple bars with great staffing and the bowling alley / club in the basement was the place to be on Saturday night.

"elevators"
It was not explained to us that you had to have a key card to use the elevators. Two different times part of our group were stuck on the elevator with it unable to move. One of the girls actually pried the doors open with her hands. She was lucky that worked. She was alone and started to panic. She hit the alarm, but nothing happened. She didn't want […] to hit the fire alarm and make a big deal of it. We felt if it had been explained to us, that would've never happened. I was asked if I had ever stayed there before and when I said no, they did explain a few other things, but nothing of the elevator. Our first trip to our room, someone was on there and must've already used their key, so we had not idea it had to be done. Just could've been avoided if explained. Mehr

"Beautiful NYC-Style hotel in Iowa!"
Amazing hotel, fantastic food, great service! The pool was very nicely warmed for the winter. Only strange thing was that our room had a pull-out couch that was not able to be pulled out because there wasn't enough room! We stayed on the "pet friendly" floor, but you would never know that there have been pets there.

"Hotel Blackhawk - A renewed classic in Davenport"
I had a wonderful three night stay in Davenport, due mostly to the comfort of the Hotel Blackhawk. My King room was large and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, medium firm with a nice layer of plush on the top. Bathroom had a soaking tub and separate shower. Wifi and wired access were strong and persistent. Room service was timely and the […] chorizo breakfast burrito was too large to finish. The only minor let down... the benniegts didn't rival Cafe Dumond. The location is well suited to Rock Island Arsenal, where I was traveling on business. It is also near a number of decent restaurants, and the Front Street brewpub. Five minutes by car will take you to The District in Rock Island, IL, where many good brewers, restaurants, and a fantastic cigar store are located. Mehr

This is a beautifully restored hotel with eleglance and comfort. Our stay was at Christmas so the bar and restraunt were closed, but the staff was so helpful and our room was wonderful. My only complaint is the web site states there are DVD players in the room and there was not, nor was there one available to rent and also no availability of movies […] to rent on TV. Mehr

I can see why President Obama stayed here. It was a great hotel, beautifully redone. The TV in the bathroom mirror was a first for us. The only fault I have was with Hotels.com. We paid extra for a package that included breakfast, only there was no breakfast, we just went to the coffee shop in the lobby and got some food that was covered on our bill. Hotel was exceptional in every way. Beautifully remodeled lobby with very well accomdated rooms. Mini Bar, very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, internet access, tv (no pay per view) and the tv in the vanity mirror was a nice addition. One of the best hotels I have stayed at in a while.

This hotel is a total gem. It's historic and with lots of character but also recently renovated, so new and comfortable. Everything from the room to the service to the amenities deserves praise. You can stay inside for a whole weekend and not be bored. It's a great value too, Given everything they offer, it could be twice more expensive.

What a wonderful way to spend a week night in Davenport! We had tickets for a concert, and came in early enough to have a gracious, delicious meal, and then make the drive to the concert. The parking is convenient, the staff welcoming, and the rooms are divine. We would definitely stay there again. Called hotel and they said they were booked solid. Went right onto Hotels.com and booked a room. Called hotel to confirm. Even saved a few bucks. We were surprised at how nice the Blackhawk is. The service was wonderful. Check in was easy. The room was lovely. Everything is newly remodeled and in great condition. I wish we could have enjoyed the restaurant, bar and other amenities, but we were only there for one night. I would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
