Ambiance Suites - Cancún

Excellent and friendly staff! Perfect if one wants the clean pool area for oneself :)

Very comfortable and clean. WiFi never worked!

We actually only booked this day for one night between checking out of a resort to our flight the next day. The staff and room were night enough, but there was no hot water in the shower! On […] the upside, the location is superb if you like gambling and shopping! Located in cancun downtown center right next to a brand new casino and across the highway from a super mall, it's a dream spot, which potentially made up for the lack of beach and large pool. The pool area was nicely designed except for the pool, which was somewhat small. Parking was available in the front and back. Pillows were great too! All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for an economy stay and don't plan to base your whole vacation on staying on site. Mehr

I already gave you a review. Read it. Bottom line is that the hotel was fine, but I will NOT recommend Hotels.com to any of my friends.

I picked this hotel due to the customer ratings, and I agree with them. Hotel was clean and the staff were very nice. Had no troubles with check in or check out and the room was quite nice. We walked every day to the various sites and/or took a local bus, which was very cheap. I liked that the hotel wasn't located in the major touristy area where American […] businesses were common. We are on vacation after all! Tiny things about the hotel: Noises from above and out in the hall echoed at times, but it wasn't that bothersome. Remote control buttons didn't work very well, but we managed. Bottled water in the bathroom was not always replaced when we were low, but we managed. One day we were charged for breakfast after not being charged for the past 6 days, but were reimbursed upon check out. It was an error of the restaurant. They keys on the communal computer keyboard was sticky at times, but again, not an issue. All these things were not big enough to warrant a bad rating. Would return again. Mehr

The best part of the Ambiance Suites was the staff who were all helpful, friendly, and attentive. Our room was comfortable and clean and the food in the small restaurant was quite good. This is a very clean, relaxed type of hotel. Only 48 rooms. The junior suite is small, but okay. The VIP suites are great. You do have to walk or take a bus or taxi to get to places. You should know some spanish since there are a lot of places nearby that will speak mainly spanish.

I was pleased with how clean this hotel was. Along with free in-room wifi and iPod docking station, it felt very modern. The spaciousness of the room along with the stone bathroom had the feel of a higher end hotel. Our special rate did not include the continental breakfast, so it was a pleasant surprise to find room service very economical. The location […] felt commercial and I think there was a big, grocery store about a ten minute walk away. I would not recommend staying here as a destination because it did not seem to be near beaches, or any resorts. The pool looked nice, but seemed enclosed in a courtyard with an exposed sky and there was a casino right next door. We didn't have time to explore the area since we were there for only one night and on our way to a beach resort the next morning. It suited our purpose, but I wish it was closer to the airport. Mehr

This place was great. Staff was friendly and even helped me to avoid some overzealous characters I met on my trip. Nothing was further than a two dollar taxi ride away and when my laptop started acting funny from humid weather, I was able to use the computer in the break room to my hearts desire. Refurbished in 2008, Ambiance Hotel has a great location for visitors who want downtown but also convenienc to the beaches. 10 min. walk to Palapas Square surrounded by bars and restaurantes - the "beating heart" of Cancun where local residents gather nightly to eat, and enjoy the many seemingly endless music and other attractions. The beaches are an […] 8.5 pesos ride - US$0.60- with very regular bus services serving the entire stretch of beaches and hotels. The hotel is not a typical tourist hotel and probably more geared to the business, or mature traveller. Rooms are large and clean with excellent bathrooms and strong hot showers. Each has a sleeping, and sitting / dining area with microwave and fridge. Tulum Ave. is the main commercial street in Cancun so there is traffic but not too intrusive. Our room was at the back of the Hotel and was very peaceful. Breakfast was excellent value - cold buffet but plenty of food, fruits cereals, cold cuts, bread and coffee. Elena at the front desk was very helpful with advice on beaches etc. but all staff were friendly and pleasant. My only real complaint was the cable TV service which has limited English News coverage - CNN in English or BBC world is not available - but there are a limited number of English channels on a large flat screen TV. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends or stay there again. Mehr

Buen hotel, muy amables

Mycket rent och fräscht affärshotell som vi bodde på under 3 av våra semesternätter. Hotellet ligger en bit från stranden, men taxi är billigt, så det är inga problem. Wifi funkade alldeles ypperligt på rummet. Poolen var liten och hamnade i skugga men det var skönt att ligga där ändå. Es un buen hotel cuando quieres un hotel sólo para dormir y pasar el resto del día fuera en las atracciones de Cancún. Muy buen servicio.

Vi bodde vår sista natt i Cancun för att få lite shopping och storstad efter att ha varit på stora hotellkomplex vid stranden i två veckor. Hotellet var rent, snyggt och hade en tyst och mycket effektiv AC. Det som höjde betyget mycket var sängarna, som var de bästa vi sovit i i Mexico samt personalen som var helt underbara. Hotellet ligger nära ett […] av Cancuns största shoppingcenter och vi tog oss dit med en promenad. Ska man käka på kvällen rekommenderar vi att man tar en taxi, att gå ensam i mörkret som turist är inte att rekommendera. Taxi är otroligt billigt, så vår taxichafför stannade tills vi käkat för att sedan köra oss hem igen. Jag skulle alla gånger kunna rekommendera hotellet! Mehr

Recomiento este lugar, la relacion calidad precio es magnifica!!!

Hôtel très confortable pour ceux qui veulent passer une nuit dans la ville de Cancun. Environnement pas très beau et peu de restaurants autour, sauf le restaurant Habituela qui est très beau et très bon.
