Wir waren 2 Nächte im Blue Diamond und haben dieses Hotel hauptsächlich wegen der zentralen Lage gewählt. Es war das schlechteste 3 Sterne Hotel während unserer ganzen Vietnam-Reise! Die Standartzimmer haben keine Fenster und sind klein, die Betten eher unbequem. Unser Bad war schmutzig und hatte sogar Schimmel. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war eine Zumutung […] und einfach ungeniessbar. Das einzig Positive war der Laundry-Service. Wer also in einem Hotelzimmer nicht eingeengt sein will und sich wohl fühlen möchte, sollte ein anderes Hotel wählen. Mehr

Das Hotel war ok. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel befindet sich mitten in der Stadt. Sämtliche Sehenswürdigkeiten können zu Fuss erreicht werden. Mit dem Taxi kostet es ca. CHF 1.00! Die Startgebühr beträgt ca. CHF 0.50. Der Aufenthalt war angenehm. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und ausreichend. Had a 4 night stay at the Blue Diamond hotel. The hotel is located in a fantastic part of the city really close to the market and close to nice restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly but the rooms are very basic and not very well maintained. The walls are very thin and let in any noise coming from the corridor. Blue Diamond Hotel. The hotel staff are excellent and tours operated from the hotel are no dearer that if booked from tour shops. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. They have all mod cons and the minibar prices are very reasonable. Flat screen TV with many stations and a king size bed, which is very comfortable are great features and no noise […] to keep you awake... Brilliant. Hotel had all the amenities you'd expect and was in a great central location in district 1. Only small issue our room had a really small window that looked out on to a wall which was really close made the room feel a bit small and dark.

Rooms basic, clean and excellent location. Breakfast very poor - not even cereal! Noisy area with ill fitting widows to the rooms so at front lots of traffic, at back, 6am megaphone blaring music to children in a school. We tried 3 rooms before we got anything remotely less noisy. I was rather disappointed with the hotel's rules and regulations. I booked my 5 deluxe rooms, upon check-in, we requested that we be put together on the same floor but were told that it was not possible unless we upgrade to luxury room (additional US$15 per room). We did and pay accordingly but on receiving our keys, we still ended up on 3 different […] floors. They now said that each floor has only 2 luxury room. If these were the case, we need not have upgraded then. As we have friends in Vietnam who had travelled hours to come meet us, we were told that we could not bring them up to our rooms to stay over unless we pay US$15 per girl per night. This is ridiculous. I've been to Vietnam on a few occasions and stayed at different hotels and they never have such rules. They say what happen if police come to check if we don't pay, which means that if we pay, police come also never mind. We booked 5 rooms (10 pax), when we check-in, we presented only 7 passports expecting my friends to stay over but were turned away cos they did not bring their passports(Vietnamese people). They ended up over back, bring passports and we had to pay US$15 per person per night. This is something I cannot accept. The plus point for this hotel is that it is very near Ben Than Market, about 5 mins, clean rooms and toilet, buffet breakfast, ok. Thinks twice if you intend to invite any local friends into your room. Mehr

There is only one small double bed provided which is definitely not possible to sleep 2 adults plus 2 children. We have to purchase additional beds to sleep.

I am very happy with this hotel. my only comments would be for Buffet breakfast. Most of the food were based with Pork meat which I do not eat pork meat. They should consider not pork meat eaters too.

Hotel is near Ben Thanh central market. It is relatively new and clean. Breakfast was OK. Taxis parked in front of hotel and are cheap to ride. Make sure to use only Vinasun or Mai Linh cabs because their fare meters are always turned on.

Overall, the service is rather impersonal and poor. Vietnam is such a welcoming country, so you can definitely do better even with the low price--we certainly did in other hotels on our trip! The hotel is clean, beautiful and well maintained with friendly and English-speaking staff. It is located just 2 small blocks behind the Ben Thanh Market. Breakfast has a fairly good selection. Great value for the amenities and location.

The hotel is well situated in District 1 and close to most tourist attractions. The deluxe room which we booked was very luxurious, comfortable and had a beautifully soft bed with high quality soft cotton bedding. The staff were generally helpful and had good knowledge about the city and trips to tourist venues available. When we arrived the greeting was good, our cases were taken to the room and we were shown how to work the room air conditioning and the in room safe. The breakfast buffet was good with a good selection of Vietnamese and European food.When we checked out the staff seemed pre-occupied and disinterested though and we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay, it seemed a little impersonal and lacked any warmth which was a shame.Overall the hotel is a good hotel, and we felt safe there which is important, and it offers good value for money. But beware of the taxi - Lots of them tend to charge more from the tourists; even WITH the meter on! Ask the hotel staff about the approximate price to the destination first. We hopped into a taxi to the War Museum for only USD$5 but the journey back to the hotel costs us USD$15++! Nevertheless, you will be overwhelmed by the varieties of food - be […] it breakfast or lunch, be it Oriental or local/Oriental. Besides, the quality of the dishes are mostly quite well cooked. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful as well as multi-lingual capable - English and Chinese (at the frontdesk). Location, location, location... It is just 15 mins walk to War Museum, 5 minutes walk to Ben Thanh Market, 8 minutes walk to the Bus station. Beware of your surroundings, look left, look right, look front, look back when you are walking beside the streets as we have heard many occasions of snatch thieves. One last piece of advise: Just close your eyes, look up the sky and pray hard when you cross the road whilse hundreds of motorbikes zip pass you - Again, be careful of your belongings! Blue Diamond Hotel was in an excellent location, just minutes walk from the market. We had no problem walking to all the major sites. The hotel itself was impressive and looked more luxurious than its 3 stars suggest. Our room was clean and comfortable. The Blue Diamond is in the best area of HCM City- District 1. The hotel itself is spotless, the breakfast is terrific, and the staff are wonderful. Location, location, location- you are within walking distance of every major site in HCM City. Book here- it is great.

If you see travel bus loading their customers in the evening, next morning breakfast , either go early between 6:30 to 7:00 AM or after 8:15 to avoid crowed. We booked our first 2 nights in their Luxury room (4th floor) and everything was as expected (based on what we read from previous guests review). Decided to extends 3 more nights, but Luxury rooms were fully booked. We took Premier Deluxe rooms instead, and it was an easy breeze transfer to 9th floor. Hotel staff was very helpful. However, was pleasantly surprised by the friendly hotel staff - from porters, front desk, restaurants, house-keeping. Clean hotel, good size rooms and ok breakfast. Close to most sights and about 200mtrs from Ben Thanh markets. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again!!
