I booked this hotel expecting a pillow top mattress as described; however, the mattress was uncomfortably firm. We stayed on the main level which was very loud in the early AM as the staff was preparing for breakfast. The staff at the front desk was friendly and the room was clean.

very clean and would recommend

The hotel was surprisingly outstanding. The location to my destination to visit was just what I needed. I don't think my choice could have been better.

Very clean and it is in a nice area.

place was awesome and the staff was very friendly and helpful. they even gave my kids cookies. the indoor salt water pool is a bonus in the winter, kids loved it.

Great facility Rates are reasonable and love the complimentary breakfast. Only downside is that it is not close enough to Asbury Park so that I do not have to drive.

I found the Hotel to be very clean, the hotel has a great contempory style, very comfortable beds. would reccomend to anyone.

Everything in the hotel was fine. Unfortunately I had the worst night sleep because there was a large amount of 10-12 year old soccer playing boys staying there. I could hear them running up and down the halls all night, knocking on the door acrossed the hall, and talking loudly around 12-6am every couple of hours. Finally at 6am I told them to be quiet […] only because I was too lazy to get out of bed and do so sooner. I wish I had called the desk the first time, but I will know for next time. I guess it's loud because there is a gap under the door and the entry way is tiled. Perhaps they should figure something out to keep out the noise. Mehr

We have stayed at this relatively new property beginning in July 2011 as we often travel on weekends to the Jersey Shore from our home in Connecticut. There is not another hotel nearby that offers the convenience, style, and amenities of this property at an equivalently reasonable price. The staff has always been courteous and helpful when we register […] or express needs that we have during our stays here. They also offer an abundant free breakfast with a wide variety of selections. However, what keeps me from posting a 5-star rave review is the noise factor that can be directly attributed to design flaws in the building itself, chief among which are the slamming guest room doors that close automatically upon entering or exiting the rooms. Once we realized this problem, our physical reflex has been to grab hold of the handle when closing the door to our room, thereby restraining it from swinging shut and shaking our neighbors out of their beds. It is obvious that the majority of guests don't recognize the need to be this considerate, or they don't care whether they disturb others who are staying there. Given that this property is on the radar of wedding planners, it only exacerbates the problem when partygoers return to the hotel after midnight and awaken guests who have fallen asleep. It becomes even more troublesome as late-night revelers continue their celebration from room to room as has happened on several of my stays here. On one occasion, I knocked on the room across the hall from ours at 2am to ask the five noisy occupants to stop slamming their door open and closed every 5 minutes. They ceased this activity, either out of courtesy or fear, but even on normal occasions, with guests entering and exiting their rooms, the slamming of doors becomes incredibly disruptive. I have never stayed at a hotel that had this problem as part of the normal operation of doors to every room. I stayed here on business and had never been to the area. My husband frequently stays at Holiday Inn Express hotels so he recommended I try this one. I had originally been booked at a bigger and "fancier" one down the street but this one was less expensive and provided the same amenities. It was a GREAT hotel. I would say, best hotel in the Neptune, N.J. area. Very nice Boutique Hotel look. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the reception to housekeeping. This hotel was execellent in every way except nearness to Asbury Park beaches and activities. The rates and quality of the rooms and service more than made up for that. The full breakfast was a BIG PLUS.

This was a last minute reservation, over Labor Day Weekend. We were delighted! The room was large and comfortable, the beds were great and the breakfast was awesome. I only have 2 tiny suggestions - the breakfast was so good that people were staying in the very small space where they put it out and there was no room to sit. The hotel staff was very accommodating and the hotel itself was very clean. My only complaint was that the game room was very disappointing. I was travelling with two teenagers and they went to play but came back immediately because most of the games did not work.

Wonderful hotel!

Holiday Inn is never my first choice for accommodations but the Neptune Holiday Inn Express exceeded my expectations in all areas. So long as they maintain the same level of guest comfort and convenience and the rates do not skyrocket I will continue to book there.

Excellent experience! Our family was looking for a place to stay for an overnight at the shore. We wanted to be close to Pt. Pleasant AND Ocean Grove. This Holiday Inn fit the bill being halfway between both towns. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, and amenities were convenient and enjoyable. Our only concern when booking […] was that the surrounding neighborhood might be 'dicey'. That turned out NOT to be the case! Spent just one night at the hotel, but the room was immaculate, the beds were so comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. This location is just about 3 miles from Jersey Shore Premium Outlets! Also very close to some beautiful beaches like Bradley Beach, Avon-by-the-Sea. Great place to stay!

Beds were as hard as rocks. We had been camping before coming to the hotel. The ground was softer. We asked to be switched to a room with softer beds, and were told there were no softer beds. We settled for asking for extra quilts which we used to soften the beds ourselves.

I reserved two rooms--one for myself and one for a friend. It was prepaid with my credit card. After giving my friend the reservation number, she was unable to get into the room. This caused a huge inconvenience for her. We had our first disagreement in our 40 years of friendship. No one asked me for another name on the other room when I booked it. […] I assumed that the reservation number would be enough. It made for a very unpleasant time for us. Mehr

I don't usually give top scores but this hotel is deserving. The staff went out of way to be courteous and helpful, rooms were new and well kept, hope they can keep it that way.

Wasn't impressed with the cleaning people...pleasant but not thorough.

Close to area beaches and very clean hotel. Breakfast was great. Will stay again.

The Holiday Inn of Neptune is fantastic. The picture online is exactly what you get: A spotless, comfortable room in a spotless hotel. The decor is modern, with beautiful tilework and lighting fixtures. The front desk staff is very courteous, especially Aja, who readily fixed a minor problem with our card key. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with hot and cold foods and contained a a wide variety, from sausage to yogurt and hot and tasty cinnamon rolls. The breakfast room was clean and inviting with a flat screen tv and complimentary newspapers for you to read while sitting clean, nicely arranged tables to eat. Angela kept the breakfast bar stocked with everything and constantly re-supplied food, so there was no need to ask if there was more of anything. The rooms were spotless and comfortable and were well supplied. Will definitely stay there again and again!!! Mehr

Nice rooms and close to shopping and Point Pleasant beaches.

Great beds, very comfortable. Decent sized rooms as well. Showers worked great. The indoor pool and game room were an added plus.

Very nice, workers freindly. We will stay there again

My sister and I stayed here for a beach weekend and our hotel experience here was fantastic! The staff was very friendly! Continental breakfast was great; there were a lot of people at the hotel over the weekend but they were always restocking the breakfast food and coffee. Complimentary 24 hour coffee was available Gym equipment was new and clean.

The hotel apparently has a policy of calling to the rooms of customers and asking if everything is OK. On the surface this is a nice idea, but the call to my room came during an afternoon nap I was taking. It was then, not a nice idea, but an intrusion. This policy should be reviewed and to my mind changed. If this happened to me, I know it must have […] happened to others. seemed like a brand new hotel. nice. clean, friendly. convenient. only problem was that we were told at booking there would be adjoining rooms but there were none.

The hotel is very nice. Don't miss breakfast! They have a very nice selection of both hot and cold food items. The staff were all friendly. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure the hotel doesn't charge your credit card again for the room. They charged me for the room and I wouldn't have noticed had I not looked at my bank statement. Accidents […] happen, just be aware. They are in the process of fixing the error. I stayed in a King Suite. It is a new hotel - beautifully furnished with comfortable living room set-up, very large bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom. Separate temperature controls for bedroom and livingroom. Stayed during a snow blizzard. Only issue was an inability to obtain food. Not the hotel's issue - but would be great to have a frozen […] food vending machine to take advantage of microwave and refrigerator units in emergencies. Mehr

Acceuil parfait. Personnel chaleureux et souriant. Hotel très récent lors de notre séjour en octobre 2011. Il y a de quoi se restaurer à proximité. Les plages ne sont pas trop loin. Idéal pour celles et ceux qui veulent faire une pause au cours d'un long trajet.
