Stayed 4 nights at the Ascott, very comfortable, clean, good breakfast. Has all useful facilities including washing machine and full size fridge. Good restaurants and clasy shops nearby.

The studio-premier room looks smaller than a delux room at other hotels in the area. But it comes with a kitchenette that's adequate with a decent washer/dryer combo (better than the Whirlpools in some places). I'm afraid I cannot say the same about the gym, which is a bit sparse with only one elliptical. No stairmaster. During my recent three-day […] stay, twice the elliptical was hogged by someone for over 30 minutes, which essentially deprived anyone else the opportunity. Considering the type of travelers staying, wouldn't it be nice to get a second elliptical or warn people off hogging the machine? And it'd be nice to have daily paper delivered. Ascott Huai Hai is located next to Hong Kong Plaza and right in the heart of Huai Hai Zhong road. The moment you step out of Ascott, you will see a number of branded shops such as Cartier, LV, Apple store and many others. Xin Tian Di is just 5 mins walk from the hotel. The room makes you feel at home with all the necessities of a common modern home […] such as ipod docker, washing machine, large LCD tv and even hi fi. You can also connect to free wi-fi within your room. The only con side is the breakfast, not very appetizing and not many choice and the breakfast area definitely need some improvement. Overall, Ascott is still a great place to stay and the staff are really friendly. Mehr

The serviced apartment has everything you would need. A clean and well-maintained room, a large wardrobe, a comfortable bed, a huge TV, kitchen facilities (complete with a range of utensils), a washing machine/dryer, free wi-fi. What's not to like? Also, it is close to two subway stations. Huang Pi Nan station is just 3 minutes away. It takes about […] 10 minutes to walk to the other station, Xin tian Di. But the walk there is rather pleasant because it is some distance away from the hustle-bustle of the main streets. The hotel is very well located in the upmarket shopping area of Shanghai. There is also a 7-eleven store, Subway and KFC restaurants in the basement. The metro is diagonally opposite and trips to Nanjing St, the Bund and Pudong were made very easy. A block away is Xintiandi, a must visit for good food with ambience. The room was large and comfortable […] with an excellent bathroom and a great shower. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and allowed us an earlier check in and a slightly later check out. The hotel is in very good condition, and no complaint at all. Clean, quiet and safe. The hotel is located in the smart part of the city, and close to major attractions by short taxi ride. The good thing I like in Ascott hotel is that it has a very nice small but very clean kitchen and we were able to cook our own food. Reception staff were very friendly. The breakfast do not have reasonable variety of food and mainly cattered for Chinese. Over all the stay was good experience

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Shanghai and Ascott Huaihai and it was the main attribute to our 5 nights stay. It is surrounded by shopping malls, the xintanti attraction and the many eateries. Most importantly the trasportation were easily available and the taxis service are professional and clean. The Metro is interesting and easy to take with […] English signs and directions, it connects you throughout Shanghai. As for the Ascott, the room was vast and comfortable and we got upgraded to a bigger room. The front staffs were all friendly and warmed. However, the breakfast was very normal and maybe disappointing but with heavy dinners at the nearby restaurants, a morning hot coffee will do just fine and there are more Starbucks than in New York around Ascott. Fully recommended for those staying more than 4 nights. It is a full 5 stars from us. Mehr

Cannot say more with it's location. Subway station is a mere 3mins away. The kitchenette is a great convenience. Room is very comfortable. All these for a great rate. Can't beat that.. A very small downside is that some front counter staff has slight difficulty communicating in English.

We picked Ascott for our July 2011 family trip because of its location. We were not disappointed. The serviced apartment was 5 min walk to Xintiandi and 3 min to the nearest train stration. I personally think that it was a better choice that the hotels on Nanjing Road. The neighbourhood is more pleasant. The apartments were clean, tastefully decorated […] and well maintained. Towels were changed every day. Water pressure was good. Bed was huge (king size) and very comfortable. The apartments were freezing and we couldn't figure a way to change the temperature. We ended up switching off one of the air-conditioners in the sitting room. Breakfast was merely adequate but there are lots of eateries nearby and we did not choose Ascott because of the buffet breakfast anyway. Now the negatives. We had prepaid for a 2-bed apartments because there were 4 of us. We arrived at 11am and were told to come back at 3pm because the apartment was not ready. At 2.55pm we went back, queued up for 20 min because there was only one staff at reception. There was another lady but when we approached her, she asked us to queue up because the other guy was busy and then she walked straight back into the office, despite there were about 4 groups of guests waiting outside. When the hotel staff finally had time for us, we were told that the apartment was still not cleaned because the previous guests only checked out at 11am (?!?) so could we please wait at the hotel lobby. We were very upset because we did not understand why the apartment was still not prepared after 4 hours, and the staff would not even give us an estimate time of when the apartment would be ready. We asked to get the apartment key first so that we could bring our luggage up and then they could clean the rooms later, but he refused. We suspected that in fact no 2-bed apartments were available but of course the hotel staff denied it. That had pretty much ruined our plan for the first day. As a girl, traveling alone in China without able to speak Chinese is kinda uncomfortable for me. But by staying at this hotel, since it's located in the center of everything I need, especially in the very comfort safety area surrounded by great restaurants, shopping malls "Xintiandi" in such a real bit walking distance, you'll never want nothing more! […] You can also call a cab easily in front of the hotel. Facilities of the hotel are superb. Although I'm not the sport kinda person but once I saw the indoor pool with warm water, I managed to get up early every day to swim and exercise in gym! The room had always been well taken care of so clean and tidy. Only things I feel not quite impressed were breakfast and the WIFI service. You got free WIFI everywhere in the hotel but it'll be VERY slow, kinda useless for me who are quite addicted to social networks. So I just used data roaming service instead! I tried prime steak house in the hotel but just not that impressed compare with its price. Hotel concierge and reception people were all friendly but would be great if they can speak much better in English. All in all, I could say this hotel will never disappointed you :) Mehr

I managed to get a last minute deal to stay at this hotel while my Shanghai apartment was being finished by the contractor. Upon arrival they didnt have a room available, so gave me an upgrade, which was fine, but they made it out to be a huge deal and that they were doing me some sort of favour . . . All I wanted was a decent bed, a wake-up call on […] time, and some early morning coffee as I had a flight out of Shanghai at 8am and needed to get out of the hotel by 6 to get to the airport. I was assured that they had 24 hr room service at check-in, but after dinner, when trying to arrange early morning coffee was told that no room service would start until 10am and I could make my own coffee in the business center "so early." If you have no needs other than a bed, then this hotel is fine, but the concept of service escapes this place. Even the manager felt he was unaccountable for his staff who either lied or simply misinformed me. Either way he should have 1- apologized, and 2- found a way to accommodate such a minor request. We stayed in Ascott over the long weekend. We were upgraded to a one bedroom flat as our room was not ready due to our early arrival. The layout and the size of the room are good. But the hotel has to work very hard on cleaniless. The carpet was full of stains; furnitures were dusty; cups and saucers were dirty. The cleaning lady only made our bed and […] replaced towels in the bathroom. Overall service is excellent, location is good but the hotel needs to do a lot of work on its cleanliness. this hotel was in perfect spot, hotel was totally clean, room was great very big!!... top dance clubs right next to hotel within a block, and Shin Tyan Di, was right there too!!!... will def. come back... plus they had fresh fuji apples every morning and breakfast was great.

I never found a phone index explaining room to room etc. Certainly there was none in the L.R. where I believe it most likely to be needed. Additionally, the equipment manuel described different makes than what was supplied so it was difficult to figure out operations, especially the sound system.

When I see this hotel from map, i doubt this hotel is easy to reach. So when I came, Yes this hotel is nearby all the must see sight seeing. If you have limited time for shopping, you can go along Huai Hai Road for branded & East Nanjing.

Location is perfect. Hotel service is just great. The only complaint I would have is that the breakfast ain't as good. The spread & quality of the food has room for improvement.

excellent location and amenity. great for family trip.

During the entire stay they claimed to "send an Engineer" to fix the air con. The problem is that the whole system was off. All you get is just the fan. The Hotel would be great if they had functioning Air Con The room temp was stuck at 76F to 78F which is too high for a comfortable stay and the windows don't open. I've stayed here for over a week and […] still the same story. It's very typical of Chinese owned Hotels to turn off the A/C to save $.... Mehr

Very comfortable. Hotel was under rennovation but still very nice. Laundry/Kitchen in the room very convenient.

We stayed at this hotel based on recommendation by shanghai resident. It was a great place to arrive at as it is kitty corner from the subway (we arrived by Maglev and subway) It was comfortable and was a residence so there ESA a small kitchen and washing machine! Great considering we were 2 weeks into a 3 week trip. Huai hai is lively street with good […] shopping and eateries however there are more central locations. We tried 2 other hotels while in shanghai and still found e ascot had good location for the price. The breakfast is adequate, there's an omelet station and mixed western Asian food, nothing fantastic but a good way to start the day and included in the price of the stay. Great location. Resturant in hotel which was OK for breakfast (did not do Dinner or lunch there as we wanted asian food). Fantastic resturants within metres and the metro right beside hotel. Good clean gym and pool. Felt like you escaped the bustle of outside (and Expo) when you got to your room which was spacious and clean. Good staff - very helpful […] but not all over you. Would recommend this as a base for your Shanghai stop over or holiday. Mehr

立地環境、部屋の清潔さ等、さすがアスコット！ モーニングは少し物足りないが、６Ｆテラスで飲める朝コーヒーは最高でした。困ったことは両替できないこと・・・。

ホテルは地下鉄1号線「黄陂南路」から５分、近くにセブンイレブンもありとても便利です。 部屋はキッチンも付き広めなので、長期滞在にはお勧め！エレベーターも、部屋もカードキーをかざすタイプでとってもスマートでした。 ちょっと壁が薄いようで、音楽が大音量で聞こえた時には、びっくりしました・・・・個人的には、アメニティーはロクシタンなのが嬉しかったです。

이번에 오신 손님은 부부이시라 남편분은 일보시고 사모님은 솬광 및 쇼핑을 즐기시기에 선택한 호텔입니다. 시내 정중앙에 위치해 있어 주변 환경은 최고입니다. 와이탄 예원,신천지 모두 가깝습니다.새로 리모겔링 되어 내부 인테리어도 훌륭합니다 다만 가격에 비해 조금은 좁지않나 라는 생각과 프론트 서비스는 별 3개 정도 줘야할듯합니다 투 베드룸에 거실 키친 있는 프리미어 투베드로 했었고 전체만족도는 별 4개 정도가 적합할듯 합니다.

位置是很好，但是保洁工作不是特别到位。隔音效果差。早餐一般。我希望的是，每天给你换床品，但是后来的阿姨都没有给我换，各方面不是特别的人性化。厨房没有做饭的工具，只适合做西餐。餐具齐全，但是你得另买调料和材料。十五楼我住的前4天很不错，那个阿姨很好。后来那个不是一般的差。

제일 작은 방을 예약했었는데 레지던스 시스템이라 방 하나에 거실, 주방이 딸린 시스템이었어요. 넓었어요. 가족, 친구들과 같이 오면 좋을 느낌이었고 수영장도 있어서 쉬기 편했어요. 방도 깨끗한 편이었고 욕실 어메니티도 록시땅.. 타월, 샤워가운은 얇지만 깨끗. 뭐 시설은 괜찮았지만 서비스가 너무 안좋았어요. 직원들 영어수준이 별로였고 비행기표 변경처리를 문의했는데 예약해놓고 확인전화도 안주고 일도 어리벙벙 처리해서 있던 비행기표 취소시킬뻔하고, 직원들 태도가 불쾌했어요. 중심가에 위치하다보니 체크인하는 사람들은 많은데 직원 수가 적어서 처리속도도 느리고 바쁘고 일처리 안되고. 이 호텔에 묵는게 기분이 나쁠 정도였어요. 그리고 […] 위치를 적어보자면 정말 퍼펙트한 위치였어요. 백화점이랑 사방으로 붙어있는데다가 2분 거리에 신천지가 위치해있어요. 지하철역도 바로였구요. 서비스만 빼고 모든건 괜찮았어요. 뭐 다른거 부탁할 일이 없다면 위치 방 괜찮구요. 로비가 조금 낡고 촌스러운 느낌이었지만요. Lo mejor de este hotel es la situación inmejorable, en la mejopr parte de Huaihai Rd, lleno de tiendas y restaurantes alrededor y con el metro al lado. No es un hotel muy grande sino que las zonas comunes son pequeñas y uno no se tropieza con mucha gente. Las habitaciones estan totalmente equipadas y son espaciosas. Lo único que mejoraría es el desayuno, […] es un buffet muy pequeño con poca variedad y hay pocas mesas. Por lo demás lo recomendaría sin duda. Mehr

新天地には徒歩圏でロケーションは非常に良い。 冷蔵庫やキッチンなどがある長期滞在に向いた部屋である。そのためワンルームマンションのように部屋は狭く感じる。

Perfect location! On the main road in down town and by the metro, also close to Xin Tian Di. Service is fine, not bad and no supriese as well. Cleaning... huh... that's something I really don't like. After we checked in I just found a used shaver and toothpaste in the bathroom. And you can also see the dust on windows' frames. 新天地まで歩いて行けるほど近いので、夜も満喫したい人にも最高の立地です！ 私はファミリーでステューディオタイプのお部屋を利用しましたが、フルキッチンも付いているので、慣れない土地で食欲の無い子供に、普通のご飯を食べさせるのも便利でした。 そしてさらに感動したのは、お水の臭いです。 私は以前上海に住んでいたことがあるんですが、お水が全く臭くない。 お風呂のお水が若干臭う程度は正直仕方ないと覚悟して行ったんですが、お風呂も全く臭わず快適に過ごせました！ アメニティも全てロクシタンで、最高に素敵なホテルライフが過ごせました。
