Hotel Brexton - Baltimore

Die Sanierung des alten Gebäudes ist geglückt. Die Zimmer sind modern und stilvoll eingerichtet und geräumig und sauber. Die Lage ist sowohl für eine Stadterkundung (kostenloser Shuttle zur Innenstadt in unmittelbarer Nähe) als auch mit guter Anbindung zum Bahnhof und Flughafen (20 Minuten mit der Bahn) ideal. The staff was quite friendly & courteous. There is an assortment of nice restaurants around the area. It is a 5min walk to the metro rail (blue line) that runs all the way to BWI airport. I was very satisfied with this stay, more so than a previous hotel stay in the same city area.

The hotel was lovely. It was recently redone. You could not ask for a nicer room or friendlier staff. However, they did not even have a soda machine, only bottles of water in the room they would add to the bill. This is a very nice hotel, but for the amount of money I paid for the room, it would have been nice to be able to get a Coke! Also, parking […] was on the street and very restricted. The hotel was wonderful - very clean, comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Wheelchair accessibility was very good. There are so many gorgeous details and cute historic features! We walked to downtown from the hotel and it was not a long walk. The only downside is the lack of parking, but it is not in a busy neighborhood, […] so we were able to find a space immediately. I would stay there again! Mehr

You can hear the people speaking at the front desk from your room at the end of the hall. They claim free parking but it's just a small street outside with a few spots that don't use meters. Both sets of blinds were broken and the shower dripped constantly. Other than that, pretty room, comfy bed, fairly helpful staff. Would never stay again for the […] price. Just not worth it. Mehr

During a late-evening check-in, the desk clerk stayed on the phone (with a business-related call) while I waited about 10 minutes. No available guest computer or business office; no restaurant on-premises or within sight. The nightstand clock was set on the wrong time, and it would not change times. With a "full house," the continental breakfast service […] ran out of pastries the last 30 minutes. On the morning of check-out, I asked for a cab a half hour before it was needed. The front desk clerk called the cab company a second time while I was checking out. The cab arrived 15 minutes later, and I was nearly late for my appointment. Really liked the historic building, not there long enough to explore the area or assess the convenience of the location. Mehr

The front dest people were very friendly and attentive. The room was pretty clean and well maintained. Hotel is a good 10-12 blocks from the wharf area. The walk was interesting as we were engageed by 4 males, taunting us, stating that they would pick our pockets and stick it in us. We kept walking and nothing happened. Rambunctious youth!! So the loaction […] is a bit outside our comfort/safety area and thats how it goes in Downtown Baltimore on Oriole Opening Game Day. Mehr

Absolutely beautiful hotel, charming rooms. The staff was pleasant and provided directions in and around Baltimore. Lovely hotel, a great experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Brexton. My room was spacious and very nicely appointed with a very comfortable bathroom. I don't usually leave reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Brexton. The location was walking distance to Penn Station, to downtown, and to the wonderful culture in Mt. Vernon. Can't wait to stay at this charming hotel […] again. Mehr

Highly recommend!!!!! Very very clean hotel!!!!!!Loved this hotel, it has a beautiful modern yet historical feel to it. It is in a safe residential looking area, free parking, free breakfast, and extremely clean which was a big big plus. Fully renovated which has given it a modern clean 5 star hotel feel. The hotel staff couldn’t of been any more helpful, […] they were very nice people. My husband and I have stayed at 5 star hotels in Baltimore before and our stay at the Braxton Hotel was much better. We felt like we were at home the minute we walked in the door. The only complaint is that there was no DVD player, which wasnt even a big deal. Great Great Great trip, one of our best yet. Mehr

Would never stay there again!!!, The hotel is tiny and does not even look like a hotel. The room we got was small, looked remodeled and the furniture and bedding was nice but the floor was not even leveled and seemed as if it could collapse at any moment. The shower was terrible, i could hardly fit!!! We complainted but the concierge (only staff at […] the hotel) did not have the authority to do anything about it. We slept that first night and left the next day because when we came back at 11 pm after leaving the hotel at 9am the room was still unmade and there was no one to make it we were just offered "fresh towels" and a promise they would make it the next day. Hotel is well-designed, unique and clean. Rooms were really attractive and comfortable. Lots of free parking. Good amenities, including free breakfast (unfortunately, did not have time to indulge). We did not spend much time in the neighborhood, but it seemed like a neighborhood being revitalized.

Place was exquisite on the inside. COmpletely remodeled and renovated. If you are in Baltimore, this is the place to be. Front Desk, Monica?, was helpful. Very happy to recommend to others!

The Hotel Brexton was outstanding. The staff was above and beyond what I had expected, example; I asked for a second luggage stand and they produced one instantly ( something that most hotels will not do). They were very helpful in recommending places to eat and they provided information about the free bus service that would take you to the harbor area. […] The restoration of this historic hotel was well done. The rooms were comfortable and the character of the building was maintained. The neighborhood is an interesting mix of old and new businesses. This is an excellent example of a decaying inner city reviving itself. Mehr

This is truly the best find in Baltimore. Beautifully retored building, grand five floor spiral staircase. Rooms are modern, yet retain the history of the building.

This is a beautifully restored historic hotel. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The entire hotel is smoke free and always smelled clean. The breakfast room was well stocked and clean. I don't have one complaint about our stay at Hotel Brexton. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Paul (manager) made our stay extra […] special. He made sure everything was to our expectations and checked in with us to make sure we were ok. I have never seen such awesome customer service from a hotel and it made a huge difference! We will definitely be back soon! Mehr

Great Hotel, wish the parking situation was better.

The Hotel Brexton was a great find. It is in a beautifully restored historic building, large comfortable rooms full of fun details. The beds were comfy and the room nicely decorated with modern fixtures- everything was in good shape. On the 3rd floor we had nice views of the area. Breakfast was great- not your usual commercial fair. Fresh fruit, nice […] pastries, any kind of coffee imaginable. At check in the Manger was able to steer us to one of the many interesting restaurants in the neighborhood for a late lunch and knew the public transportation system well- we caught a free bus to the waterfront and were there in 10 minutes. This is a great European style hotel. No complaints at all! Mehr

Hotel Brexton is a beautifully, newly renovated, historic hotel. The staff is kind and is quick to accomodate all of your needs. We were really impressed with the Keurig as our coffee maker and the I-Pod dock available for music. We were not expecting those amenities. The continental breakfast was wonderful. We especially liked the electronic "coffee […] shop" at your fingertips. I was able to make a mocha at the touch of a button. Hotel Brexton came a long way, as you can see from the renovation pictures on the wall. The staff is really geared towards making all of their guests happy and will do anything for them. Thank you, Hotel Brexton, for a wonderful stay! We have already reccommended Hotel Brexton to all of our friends who plan to visit Baltimore, MD! Mehr

I will return to Hotel Brexton again. The Hotel Brexton staff was very accommodating and friendly. The Hotel is beautiful. I loved the room that I had. Fantastic neighborhood in a safe, fun area.

The hotel was really nice, everything was perfect though the location could have been better.
