Maplehurst Inn - Antrim

Okay, first of all I want to say we where happy with our stay for the price & location it was ok. The staff was very nice. The bathroom somewhat clean but rundown. But everything else was warm & homey. The problem was we where hoping to get away for a romantic weekend and our room bordered the porch and some guy was playing violent video games on it […] all night, we could hear everything they where saying so when we got in bed and noticed the headboard creaked at your every move we were a bit put out. Also on of the street light beamed right into our room even with the blinds shut we could see the people on the porch and they could have seen us. The water in the shower was a bit difficult to control temp was and there was shampoo provided on the wall, but no soap. Also there is currently no breakfast being served, you have to go across the street. My hotels.com statement said my price did not include breakfast, but I thought we would be able to pad down stairs and pay for it. Mehr

It was a very unique experience Julet was a wonderful host She had a reunion with some old friends of hers and they were very welcoming They in tied my family to join them and it was a very worm and friendly atmosphere I will stay there again and I already recommended them to friends

This Inn is absolutely amazing! The staff are kind and helpful, the decor and atmosphere is charming and the rooms were clean and fresh. Breakfast and coffee in the morning next to the fireplace was very relaxing and the availability of WiFi was very convenient. We will definitely come back for another stay. I know that the Maplehurst Inn is old but that doesn't mean that the rooms can't be up to date and be supplied with toiletries such as soap. In the shower there were shampoo and conditioner that appeared to have been there for too long (i.e. a year or more). They were in containers on the shower wall. There were light bulbs burned out over the vanity Even […] though the sheets appeared to be clean they were very thin and worn. Also the carpets didn't seem to have been vacuumed and I was afraid to walk in my bare feet anywhere in the room. We had dinner in the dining room of the inn which was quite good. The breakfast that was included in the price was acceptable also. But, for the price that we paid I don't think I would stay there again. And, I probably wouldn't recommend it to my friends. Mehr

Location easy to find;pleasant and helpful staff;very good breakfast; and other guest friendly and social

It was a very hot day and the promised air-conditioning was thankfully there and making the place very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good. We only stayed one night so we didn't try everything, but what we had was very good. We were on the second floor and there was a porch that went the length of the whole structure that was quite […] nice. good breakfast in the morning with great coffee got us going for the day. They also had a lounge with full bar that we took advantage of. All in all we had a very pleasant stay. Mehr
