Das Hotel hat die 4 Sterne voll verdient! Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Das Frühstück ist vergleichbar mit jedem 4 Sterne Hotel in Deutschland. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern und entsprechen auch absolut dem Standard eines 4 Sterne Hotels in Deutschland.

Für unseren einwöchigen Venedigbesuch suchten wir einen idealen Ausgangspunkt und haben ihn im Hotel Ai Pini gefunden. Auf dem kleinen parkähnlichen Grundstück (etwas kleiner, als die Fotos vermuten lassen) konnten wir unser Fahrzeug die ganze Woche sicher abstellen. Ca. 15 m vor der Hotelzufahrt befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle und mit der Linie 7 kann man ohne Umsteigen direkt zum Busbahnhof in Venedig fahren, wo sich auch die Vaporettostationen befinden. Die Busfahrt dauert ca. eine halbe Stunde - der Bus ist je nach Tageszeit relativ voll. Vom Busbahnhof in Venedig kann man in ein Vaporetto umsteigen oder nach Überquerung der nächsten Brücke direkt die Gassen von Venedig erkunden. Im Hotel konnten wir auch die Kombikarten Hellovenezia für Bus und Vaporetto erstehen. Diese kostete für sieben Tage fünfzig Euro pro Person und hatte sich bereits nach dem zweiten Tag gerechnet. Das Personal im Ai Pini ist absolut freundlich und sehr hilfbereit - angefangen beim Empfang bis zum sehr guten Restaurant (empfehlenswert). Es ist jedoch ratsam, die etwas größeren Zimmer möglichst mit Blick auf den Park zu wählen - darin kann man sich aber sehr wohl fühlen (auch wenn es keine Zimmer mit Balkon gibt). Alles in allem als Ausgangspunkt für Venedigbesuche sehr geeignet.
Für zusätzliche Personen können Gebühren anfallen, die abhängig von den Bestimmungen des Hotels variieren können.

San Marco ist das eigentliche Touristen-Venedig. Der Piazza San Marco ist bekannt für die Tauben, den Markusturm, den Markusdom, den Dogenpalast und teure Cafés und darf bei einer Stadtbesichtigung nicht fehlen. Die schönen Aussichten auf das Wasser sind legendär, und nirgendwo sonst in Venedig warten so viele Gondeln wie hier auf Passagiere. Während der Saison ist der Piazza mit Tagesausflüglern dicht bevölkert, während nur ein bis zwei Ecken weiter die Straßen ruhiger sind und es noch mehr Museen und Paläste zu entdecken gibt.

... oder wurden die tollen Bewertungen vom Hotel geschrieben? Die Lage des Hotels ist zweifelsfrei toll, jedoch extrem schwierig zu finden. Da man jedoch in sehr kurzer Zeit überall zu Fuss ist, hätten wir im nach hinein die Lage nicht als entscheidendes Kriterium so hoch gewichten sollen. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer gebucht. Dieses war jedoch kleiner […] als die Box meines Pferdes und max. 17 qm groß. Vor dem Schrank stand ein Zustellbett, warum auch immer, wir hatten für 2 Personen gebucht. Der Schrank war nicht benutzbar, der Durchgang kaum möglich. In der Zimmerbeschreibung fand man eine Aussicht auf Kanal oder Hof, vor Ort jedoch nur den Ausblick auf das Abflussrohr an der benachbarten Hauswand. Auf die Muranolüster kann man verzichten, zumal sie nur notdürftig befestigt sind, nur ein Leuchtmittel funktionierte und die anderen beim Versuch sie zu fest zu drehen, sich mit der gesamten Fassung abnehmen ließen. Das Bad war extrem klein, hatte Schimmel an den Fugen und der Decke und verrostete Spiegel und Heizkörper an der Wand. Ein zweites Badehandtuch und das ausgegangene Toilettenpapier haben wir uns selbst organisiert. Genauso wie die Gläser für die Getränke aus der Minibar. Der Frühstücksraum war leider vom Zustand noch abschreckender als unser Badezimmer. Alt und lieblos dekoriert. Die Tischdecken wurden nicht gewechselt, sondern die Krümel mit der Hand auf den Boden gefegt, wo sie auch am nächsten Morgen noch zu finden waren. Das Treppenhaus ist mit alten Möbeln zugestellt. und der Weihnachtsmann hinter der ausgedienten Rezeption machte den Eindruck auch nicht wett. All das war jedoch nichts gegen den unerträglichen Gestank im Treppenraum, den man nur mit zugehaltener Nase durchqueren konnte. Alleine der Kaffeegeruch am Morgen milderte diesen etwas. Der Geruch hatte nichts mit dem Kanal oder alten Haus zu tun, sondern war irgendein künstlich in den Raum gesetzter "Duft". "Stilvolles Hotel in Toplage"
Wir bekamen vom Nachtportier ein wunderschönes Familienzimmer mit Blick in den schönen Innenhof. Kanalblick haben wir bei dem günstigen Preis auch nicht erwartet.. Tolle Betten mit super Matrazen und Muranoglaskronleuchter und vergoldeten Spiegeln. Frühstück für italienische Verhältnisse grandios. Auf Nachfrage bei den freundlichen Damen bekommt man […] auch inklusive einen Capuccino o. eine Latte von der Bar. Wenn Hotel voll gebucht ist, kann es allerdings sehr eng werden beim Frühstück. In der Nebensaison aber kein Problem. Einziges Manko ist der Nachtportier der unzuverlässige Aussagen macht zum Thema Frühstückszeiten und Internetflatrate. "Abholservice ?"
Beim Hotelbeschreibung ist eine kostenlose Abholservice vom Bahnhof geschrieben. Wollte aber niemend im Hotel von diesem angebot wissen und behauptet, dass so etwas noch nie verlangt wurde. Bis heute wird es aber immer noch angeboten und damit Gäste geködert.

Wunderbar romantisches Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe des Markusplatzes. Großes Zimmer, mit Muranoglas- Luster, sehr bequeme Betten. Einzig das Auffinden des Hotels kostete etwas Zeit, befindet sich in der Nähe, aber nicht am San Moise- Platz, in einer schmalen Seitengasse. Gutes Frühstück, mit Blick auf die in Augenhöhe vorbei gleitenden Gondeln.

"Convenient location"
The location was great - 5 minute walk to the main piazza in San Marco. Close to public boats/gondolas - 5 minutes away. Lots of upscale restaurants on street off hotel, 10 minute walk to Rialto. Close to lots of restaurants, etc. Rooms are very small - especially compared to North American standards - don't expect that. No free internet. Rooms clean […] and friendly front desk staff. "Fabulous location in central Venice"
A six minute walk from San Marco, the hotel is quiet, down a narrow side street near La Fenice Opera House, and tucked up against a major gondolier route (accordion music drifts in your window). Our nicely-decorated room (#23) was miniscule, couldn't even get the bathroom door fully open, but we had a view of a wide, busy canal (not the Big One) and […] the beds were excellent. Bathroom was very clean, with a tub. Hot water was plentiful. We had asked for twin beds, had to pull them apart ourselves (staff forgot), then beg for linens to fit, and remake the beds ourselves, a minor annoyance. The breakfast room is around the corner (why?), so you walk outside rain or shine, but the breakfast is generous by Italian standards, and in summer should be extra special in the open courtyard. Staff is helpful, with good English. Avoid nearby Vino Vino restaurant, bad tourist food and shady billing. All in all, this hotel is an excellent find and the location simply can't be beat unless you won't settle for anything other than the Grand Canal. Mehr

"Arrogant Staff, worst room for guest with children"
The hotel staffs were really arrogant and not ready to listen to what we say. The staffs are in a mindset that you have already paid for the hotel, continue your stay if you wish or you could leave the hotel. The room was even worse and not at all comfortable for guests with children. The worst ever hotel I have stayed in my life.

Central location, a few minutes to San Marco, walking distance to everywhere. Right on a canal; we took a water taxi directly from the airport(110E) to the front door. Breakfast was very good, nice view of the canal and gondolas going by. We the took a water taxi arranged by the front desk to the train station. Very happy, would stay again.

Nice hotel in a great position for visiting Venice. Room was small for 4 people and we didn't have a view. However the hotel was clean, the area was quiet and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was also good. We would recommend this hotel.

Even though we followed a previous customer's directions to the hotel, it was still hard to find. We did like the decor inside our room, but felt claustrophobic since there were no visible outer windows. The view to the canal that we had hoped for was not there. The price included a breakfast which was fine and one that we recommend, since prices in […] general are high in Venice. The hotel was very close to Piazza San Marcos and to the vaporetto's stations. "Old, but charming."
It was a little difficult to find this hotel because it is down an alley and in the back. After you check in, they take you around to the side of the building where the rooms are located. Staff was helpful and nice. Furniture was antique and interesting. Bathroom was clean.

The San Moise really is not bad...the location is excellent, a couple of minutes and you are at St. Marks, you are around the corner from the Opera house, the Rialto is a 10 minute walk and it's on the canal that many gondola's use. Continue until you see a Farmacia on your right, across from Gucci will be a little alley, turn right into the alley and go to the end, then make another right and the hotel will be there on your right. Hotel San Moise is cheap and centrally located. "Worst hotel stay among 2 weeks trip to Italy"
This is the worst hotel that i had booked throughout my 2 weeks trip to italy (Rome,Naples,Florence,Venice & Milan) in 3-15th June 2011. Thought i booked the hotel with good location near St Marco (indeed is near) but walking into the small alley to reach the hotel door was bad. Upon arrival, the reception told us due to old building of 600 yrs and […] the water tank burst and our room carpet was flooded with water. So they give us another hotel "NEARBY" and "HIGHER" category. We could not react immediate but just agreed. To our unsatisfaction, the hotel was 20 mins walk away and far from center. The room given was in a building that looks desserted (perhaps i should say look haunted) when we walk into. Lucky we have 3 persons and managed to stayed throughout the 2 nights. I strongly DONT recommend to any friends to book this hotel again. Dont spoilt your Romantic mood upon arrive Venice. Mehr

My favorite hotel on my recent trip to Italy. Luxury room had a great view over a small canal. In the evenings while resting before dinner, we enjoyed the entertainment from the passing gondala singers! Room was decorated nicely and the location was very convenient to many of the sites we had on our list. "Nice hotel at very reasonnable price !"
Very good location for this hotel (3 minutes from Plazza San Marco). The family room was very large. Their is a nice patio where you can take the breakfast. The decoration is a little outsized but with 2 children, it is a place I would definitely recommand. Enjoy your stay !

Venice is a-maze-ing, and if I had one suggestion for this (or any) hotel in the beautiful city, it would be for the facility to somehow meet guests, rather than leaving them to find their hotel at night, rolling suitcases in tow. It took me some time to find San Moisè, but when I did, I was 85 percent happy. It's very clean, French-feeling, and the […] desk staff are gracious (if a touch annoyed). The location is certainly quaint: the hotel is tucked away in a surprisingly quiet calle in the San Marcos Plaza neighborhood, near, by the way, two exquisite restaurants. But if you need something extra special, don't bother asking. I overheard a client ask if she could take some buffet bread to her sick son (he was - I saw him run out of the room), and she was bluntly denied (having, they said, "eaten too much"). I needed to print one sheet of paper (a train ticket), but "what if my email had a virus?" I recommend the hotel for its location and price, cleanliness, charm and value. Mehr
We travel with our three kids and it was hard to find a hotel for 5. This was only a big room were they added 2 twin beds in the middle of the room, but we just stayed one night before taking a cruise. We enjoyed the stayed, everybody was nice. Breakfast was good. The room was tiny, but "antiquey" with Venetian light fixtures. Breakfast was great, with a lovely and helpful attendant. The 50ish male night clerk was rude and condescending, but everyone else was VERY helpful. They even loaned us rubber boots (for high tide). The room was nice, we stayed in a triple and it was pretty tight as far as space goes (not a lot of floor space) No english channels on the TV. The breakfast was good and filling. Shower was very large and great water pressure. Location was perfect...but hard to find....once you knew where it was it was very central.

Tres bien situé, juste 2 minutes de la place Saint Marc, la place principale de Venise. Personel agréable et souriant. Petit déjeuner continental bien fourni . Capuccino sur demande très bon!
