Unser Zimmer ("Rust") in dem schön restaurierten historischen Gebäude war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist eine gemütliche Unterkunft mit sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern. Auch die Badezimmer, die getrennt über den Flur zu erreichen sind, waren sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war gut und es ergaben sich interessante Gespräche auch mit den anderen Gästen. Das Zentrum des kleinen Ortes ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. In der Umgebung gibt es auch viele Wandermöglichkeiten.

Vorwiegend amerikanische Gäste. Aufgrund der zentralen Lage gut geeignet für Ausflüge nach Neuengland. Umfangreiches Frühstücksbufett im Preis inbegriffen. Plastikgeschirr und Besteck passen nicht zur Hotelkategorie. Nach dem Aufdecken des Bettes ließ der Zustand der Leintücher nicht erkennen, ob sie von den Gästen zuvor ausgewechselt worden waren.

Ich kann diese Motel nicht weiterempfehlen. Zum einen wurde bei Ankunft, trotz bereits geleisteter Zahlung und Angabe der Personenzahl, ein Aufschlag für unsere beiden Kinder vorort berechnet. Andererseits war der Hotelkomfort (es roch stark und das Zimmer war sehr klein) im Vergleich zu den anderen besuchten Motels in der Region deutlich niedriger.

"Freundlicher Empfang"
Leider gibt es momentan kein Restaurant in der Inn, dafür aber etliche Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Bar im Haus halten die jungen Gastgeber aber geöffnet. Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück wird individuell zubereitet und in freundlichem, rustikalen Ambiente serviert. This was a very comfortable B & B run by a young couple who truly know how to make their guest feel welcome. Clean, comfortable and excellent location, easy to find. "Great breakfast included"
This inn required some backtracking along my travel route, but I chose it because of the reviews on Hotels.com. From the interstate it is quite a long twisty drive to Wilmington. (I'm working with paper maps - not GPS ). That said, I couldn't have been happier with the warm welcome from Jason, the innkeeper. He recommended a good spot for supper - "Jezebel's", […] just a short walk away, and he and his wife, Alicia, served up a great breakfast in the morning. My room was traditional New England. "Quiet, comfy and relaxing"
Stayed for 2 nights at the end of June. The inn is the perfect place to just hang out, have some beers, eat good (little expensive) food, and simply relax. The plan was to go to Bennington for the weekend, and found this place on hotels.com. Didn't know anything about Wilmington, but what a find! The Inn is very cute (though our room - Windham- was tiny) and conveniently located in the center of town. We arrived here in pouring rain and immediately had misgivings as the place looked run down from the outside and there was nobody there; just a note on the door and a phone number. However, once inside we soon dismissed our concerns as the place had a homely atmosphere and our room (Betty’s Room) was pretty, warm and clean although a little on the small […] side. The high bed was very comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. Another nice surprise about this Inn was the restaurant where we had a delicious meal in the cosy dining room with a roaring fire and forgot the lashing rain outside. "Style over Substance"
The Wilmington Inn is in a good location to explore southern Vermont. The bedroom was exactly as described and suited us. However, the dining experience was less welcoming. The main dining area was permanently set with at least two tables for parties of six - at no time were they in use. This was a really cute B&B with a very friendly innkeeper. My wife and I stayed here when she met me over a weekend that I was in the area on a business trip. We arrived late at night (after calling ahead) and they left a note on the door for us and the key on the bar. In the morning, breakfast was served promptly at the time they said it would be, […] and it was delicious - especially with the real Vermont maple syrup. Our only regret is that we were leaving the next day and did not have enough time to really enjoy the place for multiple nights. I'm going to write an amazing glowing review for this beautiful little place in Vermont with just a couple of caveats. The owners are amazing, really helpful and friendly. They help you with your luggage and hand out board games to play. The room was beautiful and clean. The bath was big and luxurious. The room was small but very nice. Unfortunately […] the bed was a huge problem for me. I have a back injury, and the super soft sinky mattress, meant I couldn't sleep all night. My girlfriend doesn't have a back problem and she said she couldn't have stayed another night without herself getting a back problem. The only other negative, is that we specifically chose this place based on reviews of the restaurant, and unfortunately it was closed during our stay, so I would recommend calling to ask what the status of their restaurant is. "Comfortable bed, but that's it."
This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. I expected cute decor and a comfortable atmosphere. The decor left much to be desired and we didn't even meet the inn keepers, who I'm sure were very nice, but not around. They left a note on the door and our room key on the bar inside. The key was accompanied by directions and information about […] the town, which was helpful. The bed was comfortable but some of the features of the room needed to be updated. The sink leaked into the garbage can and when we opened the window, it actually fell out into the room so we had to catch it quickly. The hotel was centrally located in the very small town, and there were some shops and restaurants to walk to, but most were closed because of the time of year. So, there was almost literally nothing to do. We decided to go back to the room at night and watch tv, but the tv was about 8x8. We also did not stay for breakfast in the morning because it was served at 8:00 and we left to go to the event at 7:50. My husband and I travelled to Vermont for the first time and had a wonderfull stay at the Wilmington Inn. The Innkeepers were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
