Danke das war ein tolles Hotel mit klasse Service,die Zimmer waren gross und schön eingerichtet,tolles Badezimmer,die preise waren leider etwas zu hoch in der hotelbar sowie im hotelrestaurant. Bei 2 wochen aufenthalt im Alila in september,fanden wir es total schade das wir nicht einmal im Meer schwimmen konnten! Der strand war übersäht mit hunderten […] toten Fische dementschprechend hat es auch gestunken Leider!!! so waren wir gezwungen 2 wochen am pool zu verbringen :( Mehr

Das Alila Diwa Goa ist ein wunderbares Hotel zum Entspannen und Wohlfühlen. Für alle Sportsüchtigen gibt es auch ein solide eingerichtetes Fitnesscenter mit einem außerordentlich schönen Ausblick (vollverglaste Front). Das Spa-Angebot sollte man nicht verpassen. Einzige Abstriche muss man beim Essen und dem Service machen. Das Personal ist zwar zuvorkommen […] und freundlich, aber gleichzeitig eher bemüht und hat noch durchaus "Luft nach oben". Ebenso wie schon vorher in Kritiken gelesen, wurden bei uns im Zimmer etwa die Klopapierrollen erst gewechselt, als beide (!) aufgebraucht waren. Das Buffet fanden meine Partnerin und ich auch nicht überragend, dafür teuer - europäisches Niveau bei den Speisen darf man leider nicht erwarten. Diverse Restaurants im Umfeld bieten ähnlich gutes Essen zu wesentlich günstigeren Preisen. Insgesamt lässt sich dennoch eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung aussprechen; die Atmosphäre des Hotels ist einfach unheimlich harmonisch und die Landschaft bezaubernd - besonders Hervorzuheben ist der Infinity-Pool, der seinem Namen alle Ehre macht. Als Abschluss einer zweiwöchigen Rajasthanreise verbrachte ich mit meiner Partnerin 3 Tage in Goa. Auf der Suche nach einem ansprechenden Hotel ohne Partyrummel bin ich auf das Alila Diwa gestossen. Natürlich ist dieses Hotel nicht gerade billig, aber es ist den Preis wert. Wir buchten eine Suite in Diwa Wing. Neben dem wunderbaren grossen Badezimmer […] mit der freistehenden Badewanne und einer "Rainshower" überzeugten uns auch die perfekten "Memory-Foam" Matrazen. Überhaupt ist die ganze Suite sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Der Service war immer sehr freundlich aber nie aufdringlich. Das Frühstückbuffet lies keine Wünsche offen. Kulinarisch waren wir einzig von Bistorestaurant etwas entäuscht. Aber das mit dem "Spice" hatten wir eine perfekte Alternative auf dem Gelände. Mehr

I stayed there with My family for 4 days and we all loved it. It's a beautiful hotel with a nice calm ambience. Lots of greenery and water around,, very soothing. Rooms are nice and accompanying balcony to every room is a nice place to sit and have a cup of tea and chat. The bed is very comfortable. Best part of the hotel is the pool, can spend hours […] in or lounging around and not get bored. The pool over looks the surrounding paddy fields and has a nice soothing and relaxing appeal. Was nice that we could order Indian snacks like bhel puri and pani puris etc while chilling out. Amazingly relaxing. There are a few restaurants around, Martins is within walking distance and Fishka is opposite. Whatever you do do not venture into Camerons, bang opposite the hotel, their Food is extremely salty and floating in oil. Restaurants in the hotel are good, breakfast is excellent. Spice studio at the hotel serves excellent food and set in a beautiful ambience, we went there for dinner and loved it. There is a complimentary shuttle to the beach but not much else around the hotel. Having said that, the hotel is so beautiful you don't need to venture out. We had a fabulous stay at the hotel. The best part of it being the swimming pool with the beds in the pool. The view was fantastic and the bar ( which had an exceedingly large and good alcohol selection ) was behind us ! The staff were very friendly , the location was great . Hiring bikes and cars was super easy they were just outside the hotel gate. […] We ate at Martins Corner and Zeebops which are both very close to the hotel. Excellent stay and value for money hotel!! The paddy field view from the swimming pool was awesome and it's a must stay hotel. Loved each and everyday spent at this five star resort. Fish ka restaurant and martins are the best two eating joints bang outside the hotel and serve excellent food .

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Alila Diwa. We've stayed in many gorgeous locations and this hotel is beautiful. The architecture, lighting, setting and the infinity pool overlooking the rice paddies was serene and zen-like. The staff, from Calvin, Desmond, Praachi, and all the other smiling, cheerful and extremely helpful staff whose names […] we can't remember were unbelievable and a credit to the hotel. Nothing was too great a request - help us dry sneakers, no problem. Help us wrap up supermarket items, Help us renew our vows, Take photographs, no problem. The room (loft #328) was delightful in every way, cool lighting, innovative room design that included a soaking tub but had sliding doors. One afternoon after a thorough soaking on the trip to 3 Kings Chapel in the rain, we filled up the tub, got out the scotch and wine and turned on the music... nothing more romantic than being in a hot tub in the bedroom! There's nothing we didn't like here, except leaving! The food was great - the breakfast spread was incredible and the staff again couldn't do enough for us. Spice Studio was excellent, and met the chef, a delightful goan lady whose name escapes us. We also enjoyed being serenaded by 2 gentlemen :). Our favorite pastime was to watch the rain come - across the palm trees to the rice paddies, to the pool. The air is so warm that being in the pool while its raining is hardly the issue it would be elsewhere. Mehr

The hotel was just what we needed from the horrors of Delhi .... The staff did was excellent especially Suraj at the edge pool... The restaurants are great for the ambiance and the food is not to bad either. The gym is efficient and the walk to the beach is divine. Relax and enjoy.

The hotel is a relatively new one and hence is quite contemporary in its styling. The design is a perfect marriage of local(the distinctive red stone for walls/columns & clay tiles for the roof) & modern architecture and a mix of Asian elements(extensive use of wood, bells chandeliers etc. and a lot of spaces surrounded by pools/flowing water ) add […] to the overall beauty of the hotel. The two restaurants are well thought out and the view from the Edge bar (which sits by the edge of the infinity pool) is awesome. You can spend an entire day just gazing at the lush green paddy fields while immersed in the pool with the cool breeze in your face. Add to it a decent collection of books about India/Goa in the library which u can enjoy along with this and a glass of beer. I did just that :) As for the rooms, the rooms are spacious enough for 3-4 days stay(I was in the 'Terrace Room'). There is a decent wardrobe space and an electronic safe is provided too which can hold 3-4 laptops. The only downside/ area of improvement is the maintenance of the room at the micro-level (corners of tables may have lost polish, some scratch marks here n there on the doors of cupboards etc.) but nothing that will actually bother you from a functionality point of view. The spread of the breakfast was awesome, as good as any I have seen (I have been to Marriot/Holiday Inn, Sayaji etc.) All in all, I will definitely recommend the hotel for all those who have their own transportation. We stayed recently for 4 nights at Alila Diwa, Goa. I would have otherwise given this hotel a 4 or 5 rating if it were not for back to back wedding parties that were noisy, disruptive and spoiled the otherwise quiet and nice ambiance of the hotel. The pool and one of the restaurants were off limits for the non wedding guests which didn't seem right. […] There was also an issue with the room air conditioning which took some time to get sorted out. We had a mixed experience with the staff. While some of the staff , specifically Tolstoy and Claton were very nice and courteous, others were inexperienced and abrupt in their speech. The GM from Scotland was nice and tried to make up for some of this. Overall, we would go to this hotel again if the above issues can be sorted out. I prefer the Alila in Bali because that beach is the most beautiful on earth, but for Goa, this property is fine. My fiancee and I had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Alila Diwa Goa Hotel. From being greeted with a cold drink and cold towel on arrival to our beautiful room on the ground floor looking out over the impressive gardens, we could not have asked for more. The pool area is popular with the best sunbeds being reserved from about 8am but there […] is a slow turnover throughout the day allowing access - the partially submerged pool loungers are particularly good in the pleasant but hot sunshine experienced in April. The bar food/drinks are of a good standard but towards the expensive end of the scale we experienced during our stay in Goa - understandable given the 5* nature of the hotel. We generally ate breakfast and lunch within the hotel and would venture out to Martins Corner (very good value and great atmosphere) or one of the other local restaurants. The staff at Aliwa Diwa were very courteous at all times and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at this hotel enough. Book a stay now - you won't regret it. Mehr

Good welcome on arrival. When shown to our room everything looked good, but on futher inspection it didn't look like a five star hotel. On the first day the shower blocked and flooded the room, the toilet also blocked and a sliding door had broken. They all were fixed straight away but we requested another room the following day. We informed reception […] that we were going on a six hour trip of Goa and that we needed another room. On our arrival back we found our room had not been made and another room was not ready for us to move into. By now the room was smelling of the previous days flooding and we couldn't even have a shower until they found us a room which took them over an hour to sort out. After calling them several times the staff seemed totally uninformed obout the situation and kept insisting they were not told about the problem which happened earlier. They have to buck up on their communication skills with one another and leave messages for staff taking over the next shift. This was all explained to the duty manager who was very apologetic and offered us a complimentry dinner. Apart from that the whole stay was great. Mehr

Booked this hotel by a friend's recommendation! Lovely, clean and very friendly place! The pool was fantastic, sunbeds in the pool! WOW It isn't on the beach but the hotel transport to the beach is great or the walk is not bad- 12-15 mins! Staff very friendly and responded very quickly! The room was gorgeous witha lovely views of fields and greenery! […] The room was large and had a huge bathtub unusually set, never seen it before! And a lovely seperate shower! The surroundings were immaculate and were regularly cleaned uP. Beautifully laid out breakfast and dinner and so much variety! Only one thin was disappointing-the capuccino coffee, they need practice someone who knows how to make good coffee! Will go there again and will recommend it ti friends and family! Five STar Hotel! This hotel is a truly great place to stay. We checked out some of the other 5* hotels in the area whilst we stayed in Goa and none of them came close to this. The hotel itself is very well designed and the location is beautiful. Our room overlooked the jungle and the rice fields so couldn’t really have asked for a nicer view. The service is excellent […] and the staff can’t do enough to help you and the infinity pool is amazing and the official photos don’t do it justice. If you book a diwa room or diwa suite then you get access to a second private pool and a separate dining room which is worth it as the hotel can get busy. We booked a diwa room but decided to swap for a loft room as the views are nicer (the diwa rooms overlook the private pool and some of the loft rooms overlook the jungle) so that’s something to consider. This hotel is highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again and would look at staying in this hotel chain again in an alternative location. Mehr

The property itself is excellent and the room was very good. Our Loft room in the corner of the South wing had a fantastic view. We chose it over the more "exclusive" Diwa rooms (overlooking a swimming pool). Linen and bedding was excellent. Temperature regulation is poor - we had to constantly adjust the setting. WiFi worked on only one of our laptops […] (WiFi at the business centre is good.) No electric kettle, coffee or tea in the room. The property is much bigger than I expected and overrun with families and kids. So we didn't get an exclusive feel. Luckily our room was in the remotest corner. The gym is very well equipped and has a great view of the paddy fields. Food is very average and expensive for what they provide. Bad coffee. If you are looking for Goan or seafood, look elsewhere. There are excellent options outside: Martins Corner is 200m to the right, Raj's Pentagon is about 1km to the left, and Fish-ka is right opposite. The staff were friendly, especially the security guards more than the others. Staff seemed a bit disorganised: first they confirmed that the airport transfer was complimentary and then called back to say it wasn't (take a prepaid taxi outside the airport - it'll cost you a third). When it came to checkout there was confusion again. Great property but unlikely that we'll return. Mehr

we visited alila diwa in the off season. stayed at the diwa wing in a diwa suite. the rooms are big and airy with sitouts overlooking the pool and garden. we just needed a break to getaway and do nothing so it was perfect. anyway since it was the rainy season there was not much activity around the hotel and south goa is normally quiet. we dined at an […] in house specialty restaurant and the food was very disappointing and extremely overpriced. the breakfast was complimentary and though i wouldnt rave about the food it was of good quality and decent enough. the best part was that we could order a la carte and that one could have breakfast at anytime of the day.. so there was no rush to get to the buffet by ten! if i had to complain it would be about the cleanliness of the room which i felt could have been better. the diwa wing is separate from the main hotel and offers complete privacy and is ideal for couples.there are a number of eating places around the hotel and the popular martins corner is a 10 min walk away. which is where we dined everyday.the hotel offers many leisure activities and also has a mini theatre and play room for kids. service is good and prompt. Couldnt fault the hotel rooms or ambience, beautifully designed spotlessly clean rooms and public areas, pool gorgeous. Food in the Spice restaurant a little slow but absolutely superb. Food in the main restaurant good, the buffet is good not fantastic and the food on the buffet at lunchtimes and evenings really doesnt change v much and when the hotel […] is quiet is very reduced ! Would definately reccommmend that to stay here you need to love the local food. Service is on the whole is good but can be a little inconsistent around the pool and restaurants. We were under the impression that there was a spa there isnt , they are just temporarily using a couple of ground floor hotel rooms whilst they build one so there are massages available but no other facilities which was dissappointing , maybe we just read it correctly but on their own website they do call in Spa Alila ! Be aware that there isnt really v much to walk to in the way of restaurants. Food in two local restaurants excellent but v very basic outdoorsy places. Otherise you need to get taxis. Beach facilities very poor as not the reponsibility of the hotel, only beds avail are supplied by local restaurant alex's and you need to pay. there is a hotel security guy there to organise transport back to the hotel if you dont want to walk. there is currently building going on , they are building extra suites next to the hotel and the noise was a little distracting whilst at the pool but really not enough to be a problem. Stayed here for 4 nights after traveling through India. I couldn't really find any downsides to this resort, and that doesn't happen a lot. Really nice, cosy and clean rooms, very friendly staff doing their best to accommodate your every need, nice pool, very good food at the restaurants, very good breakfast buffet. It's about 15 minutes walk from Majorda […] Beach, but there is a free shuttle running every 10 minutes during the entire day, very easy. Lovely beach, nice sea breeze and you can use the beds and umbrellas from the beach shacks if you order a few drinks or food. This was just a perfect end to our vacation! Mehr
