Galileo Hotel - Tel Aviv

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Weniger als 5 Minuten bis zum Strand. Die Einkaufsgegend um die Dizengoff Str., die "White City", der Rothschild Boulevard mit zahllosen Cafés und Restaurants sowie die Altstadt von Jaffa sind problemlos zu Fuß in etwa 30 bis 40 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Personal des Hotels ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die […] Zimmer sind schlicht und etwas veraltet aber trotzdem sauber. Einziges Manko ist die Hellhörigkeit. Man hört alle Geräusche von der Straße und auf dem Flur. Der Pub im gleichen Haus sorgt ebenfalls für "Stimmung" ;-) Meist wird die Musik allerdings ab Mitternacht wieder ruhiger. Trotzdem ein empfehlenswertes Hotel wenn man mit diesen Abstrichen leben kann. Direkt um die Ecke vom Hotel befinden sich nette kleine Cafés, Supermärkte und der Carmel Markt um sich mit Leckereien zu versorgen. Mehr

I stayed there for 4 nights. As the service at reception desk is available 24h a day they are very friendly, organising cabs and giving recommendations for the night. The room it self was very old fashined but clean. Unfortunately furniture and bathroom seemed to be of last centuary. That didn't match to the hotels advertisment.

While the room was tiny, all the necessary things were there. The hotel is newly painted and has new decor. The staff, especially the night duty receptionist was outstanding. Thumbs up for a forward looking staff, setting the refurbishing pace for a neighborhood in need of positive change. Made my trip ot Tel Aviv memorable.

In General our stay was satisfactory, the room was neat and clean. Depending on your lifestyle this could go either way: There is a pub under the first floor of the hotel which is open till 3am. We picked up a lot of noise as a result. We could of course have joined in the fun down stairs but it was not sustainable for us. This is a great hotel. The neighborhood is pleasant, there is easy access to the rest of the city, and the room was immaculate. This was just a one-day stop, however, on a nearly three-week trip, so we had heavy suitcases. There's no elevator. I'd recommend it regardless, though.

SPENT ONE NIGHT HERE BEFORE HEADING OUT TO EILAT. FOR THE PRICE I DON'T THINK YOU CAN BEAT IT. FUN NEIGHBORHOOD, CLEAN, FRIENDLY! IT'S NOT THE RITZ BUT YOUR NOT PAYING RITZ PRICES!

This hotel is in a definitely youthful part of Tel Aviv. If you're OK with small rooms (my single was so small I almost laughed out loud) and graffiti (in the neighborhood, not the hotel) and kids with tattoos and loud night life and do not plan on hanging out in your room all day, then by all means book your room at Galileo. I am OK with all these […] things so I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was pleasant and helpful, there's coffee in the room, and the location is in the center of the city. Since I was looking for a cheap place to sleep at night, Galileo was great. The rooms may not be swanky or renovated, but they are clean and adequate. If you are looking for a hostel with no comfort at all but very centrally locatet and not cheap for what you get, then you have to spend your time in this Hotel! We took breakfast every morning in the David Intercontinental to forget the horrible bed from Galileo!

There is no elevator, no fun dragging suitcases up & down stairs! Not recommended for seniors; otherwise perfectly adequate.

As you may have seen Tel Aviv is expensive for hotels. I was there for work and stayed in a couple of the expensive faceless chains. I needed a place to stay for my last 'night' after I'd finished work prior to the obsurd flight times Tel Aviv has. All I can say is I wish I had stayed at this place. A fraction of the price (OK not that bothered as […] I get expenses back) but on terms of front desk service, and location ace. Just within a few meters there are a number of restaurants and bars. This includes a very nice cosy bar next door and one below. If you like live music check this place out below. It is a proper speakeasy. Live music does filter to the hotel (how I discovered it) but has a strict cut-off agreement at 11PM. The neighbourhood has an youthful electic feel. It feels safe to me. No different to anywhere else I wondered in Tel Aviv. If you like exploring the social of cities this place is for you. I can't comment on just how far from beach it is (not far I believe) or public transport (but very close to a main thoroughfare). I also didn't take breakfast (which is in a nearby cafe). In terms off the room. Bed was comfy (small double) Small desk (only a stool, no proper chair) Balcony Jacuzzi Small wardrobe (with safe) TV Coffee/tea facilities Phone (with free Israeli wide calls!) A/C Bathroom. Reasonable towels. Soap. Gel dispenser. One comment. There was a smell from the toilet which if I was stating for any longer would've asked for a room fresher at least. I think this is normal of Tel Aviv as other hotels had similar smell emitting from them (in short nothing to do with the physical cleanliness). Don't be put off my any carpet comments. They have a nice textured feel. I would say if you need to do a lot of work in your room the set-up may not quite work (ask for a chair maybe). Also I had a jacuzzi. If you're using the shower then it wasn't very high (and not adjustable). This would annoy me for a stay of a few days. Great front desk. Ver Mehr

The Galileo Hotel in Tel Aviv provides a wonderful introduction to Israel. The staff were helpful and the Hotel was ideally located. The inclusive breakfast can be an authentic Israeli experience shared with local resident in a nearby cafe. Wonderful. Shalom Galileo!

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoy it very much. We felt very welcomed by the staff, they were always helpful and good english speakers. The Room was small but comfortable. The Galileo was a great place for me to stay with my boyfriend as it is located in a really cute area and is close to the Carmel market and the Yemenite quarter, both great places to walk around. Also, a reasonable distance from the beach and from many great restaurants and shops, including Iceberg ice cream place- one of the best I've ever been to! […] The price is reasonable and the woman at the desk was very helpful and kind. Veldig sentralt, men veldig bråkete. I samme bygning ligger det et døgnåpen rockpub som er visstnok veldig polulær. Det var som å være på konsert var eneste natt! Umulig å sove. Ganske slitne rom, men hyggelig personale.
